Watch Fast Times at Ridgemont High. It's on Prime Video.
Prime Video > Max (Formerly HBOMax) > Hulu > Netflix
Just noticed Netflix dropped the ball on original movies around 2018. Everything they've released since then has been shit apart from the Stand-Up Specials
Last decent original film they had was Bird Box, lol
It has some. Some good TV too.
Also you can buy/hold movies on Prime, which you can't do on any other streaming service, so I appreciate that.
What do you mean buy/hold movies? DVD and Blu-ray?
it actually does if you like older stuff, they have tons of rare old 70-80s movies
>Oh hey I want to watch that sure
>click
>rent this now for 18$
The least they could do is let me filter out all the not free shit for frick sake.
There's a "free to me" filter you can click.
that filter you speak of, at least on desktop, is "free with ads"
Not him and I haven't looked on desktop but on my Firestick there's a sidebar that has a Prime option (in addition to free with ads which is freevee stuff) or you can go to the Prime video channel and it shows you the free stuff. On Firestick there's loads of free stuff by default now though, it used to be awful.
Oh yeah they revamped it, the frickers.
On desktop I can see only the free stuff by scrolling down to My Subscriptions and clicking on "Prime". I've looked around and it looks like it filters out the free with ads shit.
nah it's there for me
They have a couple of good movies here and there but mostly crap that doesn't interest me or that I already have copies of.
Yeah it's my most watched service by far.
For big recent films it has The Last Fuel, House of Gucci, Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Whale, Triangle of Sadness, Malignant, and a bunch more. I normally watch 70s to 00s films though.
If you consider they also bundle their shipping service and music streaming it’s a pretty solid deal.
They have plenty of good free shit but their originals are hit or miss.
7/10 over all. They should buy out hbo at this point
>buy out HBO
HBO already can't make good originals, the last thing they need is meddling from Amazon
I wouldn't buy it for the streaming content. I'd value their entire streaming library at about 50 cents a month. Prime membership is still a bit expensive even if you have it primarily for the shipping benefits that really only even out if you place 4 or 5 Amazon orders a month, but if you can crunch those numbers then having the Prime video library is okay for an extra benefit, but you sure as hell shouldn't pay for it directly. It's like the fortune cookie Amazon offers you at the end of your transaction. You would never pay for it on it's own but it's a free cookie so you eat it.
>50 cents a month
What are you valuing watching a film at and what kind of thing do you watch that you can't find anything? At any given point I can go and find 10 things I would watch within 2 minutes.
I hate the term "free with ads". The ads hurt my brain, and that's a definite cost. I went with it for a couple of things, but then decided frick it. And torrented shit instead.
>"Does this have any good movies or its just a waste of money?"
Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, and the original 1990's Stargate movie are all on Prime Video right now and imo all great fun.
No
It's a bonus with the two days shipping thing for me and cheaper than all the other streaming sites. There is great older stuff on there not found on the others. TV shows in particular.
Utter waste
I certainly wouldn't pay for it as a stand-alone service, but since I have Prime for free shipping, what the hell. I had it for months and never watched a thing, since I'm a torrenter, but I've found a few things recently that I've watched on Prime.
No good movies that Tubi doesn't also have. It has good shows instead. But Tubi has good shows too.
Amazon will shut down Prime Video.
Where the frick did you come up with that absurd idea?
Twitch as well.
You didn't answer my question.
Is that prospect also absurd?
You're still not answering my initial question. Let's start with that.
I would never buy Prime Video for its own sake. It's nice to have as a perk of being a prime member.
I hate how you can't search by "4k" on any platform.
