I thought they were making one more season of S&L. Is that not the case anymore?

Gunn is afraid of the competition.

Gunn is not even the one making this decision, he is just in charge of movies, not tv series.
This is stupid rule of not more than one version of the same hero has been a thing since Smallville, they just broke this rule with batman now cause batman sells a lot.

      Yes, they are.

The click bait article posted by OP refers to a quote by the new president of The CW, which is now own by a shitty collection of rural, mostly conservative area tv stations, and who actually MANDATED cuts for this coming season of S&L that included gutting the cast down to 5 people and cutting the episodes down to the bare minimum to be considered a season even for the CW, and now want to blame WB Television, which has to eat the costs differences, for 'cancelling' the show.

      No

Gunn is afraid of the competition.

Suits have always interfered so 'faith' isn't the right word. They interfered with Nolan even after the second batwank movie did well (although Nolan didn't really care about the movie he was making enough to fight for some of the ideas that were interfered with, unlike Tenet and some of his other 'brilliant' ideas), and Feige and now Disney have perpetually interfered with pretty much every director on every MCU/Marble movie ever.

    Literally any other industry
    >Hey, a new version of our narrative product is coming out, so let's use it to boost sales/viewership for our other versions.
    Comicbook TV and Film
    >Hey, a new version of our narrative product is coming out, so let's CANCEL ANY OTHER VERSIONS WE CONTROL SO OUR NEGATIVE IQ VIEWERS DON'T GET CONFUSED. SERIOUSLY, OUR FANS OUR SO STUPID.
I don't know what's funnier, the contempt these suits have for the intelligence of their audiences, the stupidity of the suits themselves, or the slavish nature of the fans rewarding this bullshit.

I'm pretty sure these dumb motherfrickers would cancel the fricking comics if they could.

Gunn is a fricking joke. Make a good movie and competition won't be a problem.

I can see the logic behind it but I don't agree with the decision since the ips lend themselves to multiple iterations in the same media, within different media it should be no issue but...

CW Flash was ass. It was, it sucked, people love it for what it is, but any claim to quality can't be made earnestly. But as bad as it was, having it around Ezra Miller's Flash made Miller's look even worse. "That shitty TV Flash is better". While I can see this logic, it would be troubling if this were a concern.

Two different Superman is too confusing for your average Gunngay. They don't have the mental faculties to make sense of it.

So what's the deal with Tyler not being on set for episodes 2 and 3 of this 4th season STILL BEING FILMED MIND YOU, it's not cancelled. It's cut short, otherwise ending.

Anyways I think Clark will 100% die and the Kent family learns about Earth-Prime somehow and Lex might have Brainiac in his brain telling him to destroy both worlds or some shit. It feels like we might be getting a version of "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" by Alan Moore in this final season.
