Gal is out as wonder woman (obviously) and they already have a couple actresses in mind for the dcu. The first are Alycia Debnam-Carey and Daniela Melchior, but they're shorter than what they're aiming for despite really liking them both, and the third is Kaia Gerber, who they like less but is tall enough.

In some ways the modern perception of Superman(really nice, wholesome, strives for peace, very calm,prone to emotional tears) were traits Diana had that sort of got swapped onto Superman to make him more human and taken from Diana to make her less like a stereotypical woman.
Golden Age and to an extant Silver age Superman was a bit more rough around the edges and had a bit of a temper. Now Superman is all golly shucks and Diana has the temper.
