Huh?
This is legit international cinema
I guarantee there are at least 2 Miyazaki movies that you would like if you have them a chance (I like them all, personally, and I have never watched ANY other anime media)
That's not Princess Mononoke.
Get madder, troon.
I've only seen the English dub and it was kind of mediocre tbh
Absolutely. Comfy from start to finish and despite being grounded enough it still feels like an adventurous movie. You might get depressed with how perfect the world is tho
Kiki has some kino elements, but it didn't get as much care as it deserved.
Totoro is my favorite, followed by Whisper of the Heart. These movies so closely mirror my childhood experiences that it's hard to believe they came from an old man on the other side of the world. Humans have more in common than we think.
>best miyazaki movie >posts one of the most boring vanilla Miyazaki movies
You can't even name a single character in the film aside from title character because everyone was so damn forgettable
I don't like how most golden era Miyazaki movies just have a random event occur at the end of the movie that needs to be resolved so there can be a big Hollywood ending. Kiki would've been way better as a mini-series. Instead it's like Miyazaki realized this was a movie that was supposed to go out with a bang so instead of just having a quiet soft ending we had to have a big exciting airship danger action scene out of nowhere, which was especially out of place since a theme of the story is that Kiki is growing up and beginning to lose her childhood wonder and innocence, but the big send off is a childish rescue fantasy.
This, I think mononoke is probably the most cohesive as well, whereas some other stories like kiki/totoro/and especially howls moving castle feel a lot more all over the place and haphazard plot-wise, though I guess in some sense it works since those ones are moreso for younger audiences.
It really is the best. It's really got the best sense of nostalgia and aesthetics and the themes of slowly becoming an adult and seeing the magic and wonder start to fade away from life hit me surprisingly hard.
you have SEVERAL boards where you can post your stupid weaboo shit, yet you insist on ruining EVERY board with this pedophile garbage
That's not Princess Mononoke.

Why would you Mononoke or anything anime in dub.
Anyway, I'd say it's the best Miyazaki movie by far, wish he can make another one like Mononoke.
How do you live has multiple nods to Mononoke too.
kiki has a cameo in Howl's Moving Castle? sugoi
the English dub of Mononoke hime has fricking Jada Pinkett smith in it doing a Black person American accent in feudal Japan
it's awful
Absolutely. Comfy from start to finish and despite being grounded enough it still feels like an adventurous movie. You might get depressed with how perfect the world is tho
I 100% agree
Your depression will be put at ease if you visit Stockholm or Prague or Krakow, they are all similar to the city in the movie
Have some friends that went to Prague and speak highly of it. Really want to visit someday.
The old city is very pretty and definitely worth visiting.
butthurt belt
i fricking hate weeb trannies oozing their cringe shit everywhere
how about you frick off to your containment shithole or better yet, rope yourself
Best Miyazki is The Wind Rises and its not even close
Nah. And also fricking nah. Not even the best director at his own studio, btw.
gif related, mimimimi hackzaki's best animes
you didnt post a pic of spirited away tho??
Bruh you're deadass moronic fr.
>Don't mind me, just the best Hayao Miyazaki movie coming through
nope. among Miyaziki films, Kiki is second rate. It's good though.
Kiki has some kino elements, but it didn't get as much care as it deserved.
Totoro is my favorite, followed by Whisper of the Heart. These movies so closely mirror my childhood experiences that it's hard to believe they came from an old man on the other side of the world. Humans have more in common than we think.
Yes, it's Porco Rosso.
its cute and fun
Kiki, Totoro, Grave, Mononoke, Spirited, Kaguya are the best Ghibli movies
kiki is simply a good movie but it’s a little bit too clean and commercial to me. you can feel more authentic miyazaki touch from his other movies.
>best miyazaki movie

Tonbo is Kiki friend
Than there's Jiji the cat
And the pregnant lady is called Ozono or something like that
I think this are all the named character

I've been enjoying Kiki more and more as I keep getting older, but let's not kid ourselves, the GOAT is Mononoke Hime, period.
There's something truly special about Kiki's simplicity though, I won't deny that. It's really quiet and pure and earnest and sweet.
Actual morons getting filtered by Ghibli because it's "anime" will never stop being funny, by the way.

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984) > Princess Mononoke (1997) > Howl's Moving Castle (2004) >Spirited Away (2001)
It really is the best. It's really got the best sense of nostalgia and aesthetics and the themes of slowly becoming an adult and seeing the magic and wonder start to fade away from life hit me surprisingly hard.
I'm ready to take shit for this.
Kiki > Spirited > Porco > Cagliostro > Heron > Nausicaa > Wind > Ponyo > Castle > Mononoke > Totoro > Howl's
>kiki, spirited away and ponyo
>being better than Laputa
that's insane.
nta but laputa sucks
Cagliostro>porco rosso>Totoro>Kiki>Mononoke>Nausicaa>spirited away>ponyo
I like that top 3
good list. I think I would agree with you on Howl being at the bottom. here is my list.
>Spirited
>Mononoke
>Nausicaä
>Totoro
>Kiki
>Castle
>Porco
>Ponyo
>Heron
>Cagliostro
>Howl
>Wind
>Cagliostro
>that low
awful take
the movie is okay but I am not a fan of the way they handle Lupin. He is too much of a hero.
I like the characters and slightly the world building. However I really didn't like the plot or the way it ended. felt really anti-climatic.
Why do you rate Howl's so low?
I love this movie, it has some very ineteresting scenes...
the master
Totoro is distilled kino, proof that brevity is more important than scope.
>Totoro is distilled kino
literally the most baby anime of them all aside from maybe Ponyo. If you think that shit is kino, you're a manchild.
zoomer spotted
I was born BEFORE Totoro. The same can't be said for you, moron.
maybe the blu-ray release, zoomie
>you're a zoomer because you don't like this literal baby anime I jerk off too
cry about it more
I think Ponyo is adorable.
Porco Rosso > Kiki > Mononoke-hime are my top 3
>>>Cinemaphile newfriend
we're discussing an animated feature film that released in US theaters, you seething incel. go shitpost somewhere else.
my favorite jibblies are laputa, nausicaa, spirited away, earthsea, and howl's moving castle. not necessarily in that order.
For me.
