But this entire Rippaverse thing is a giant scam. It wasn't even Eric's idea it was Jeremy's (Geeks+Gamers). The entire point is to do a comicsgate scam but using Eric's skin color ad a shield and to throw off people. Literally most of the money is thrown as the hiring an artist for the cover and a couple of splash pages and the interior art is something that would make current Marvel artists look good.
Also they don't actually have a million dollars earned. The entire point of using thier own website instead of an actual crowdfunding one was so they could fudge and lie about the numbers and lie about the hype to get people intrested. They didn't want to risk a 3rd party actually investigate the numbers either so your never going to get actual sales numbers just whatever Jeremy can think of.
