55% of all homicides are intimate partner violence (IPV). Only Black folk and incels murder those they don't know for money/clout/severe mental illness.

Just because you're intimate partners with someone doesn't mean you love them, you would never try to kill a person you actually, truly love

This reminded me of that one news story about the guy who caught his wife of seventeen years cheating on him so he pulled all her teeth out and suffocated her to death by jamming his wiener down her throat.

This. Junior was always an egotistical guy like most Sopranos, but he was still reasonable to his family. By the time he went to the looney bin, his pride was all he had left.

          Anonymous

Junior was better suited for role of a consigliere as opposed to being a boss. His old-time wisdom helped tony in many ways when he was under house arrest until the dementia took him over completely.

        Anonymous

Yes but he also literally was. It’s one of those things where Tony is ‘our guy’ so we have no idea what people are talking about when they criticize him just living his best life, but of course we’re stupid and biased. Tony and Junior’s whole storyline that season is that Tony is undermining and circumventing Juniors boss status, and playing him for a weak fool, so he can be more powerful and make more money, and frick Junior. And he does tell Melfi all sorts of shit

Junior was the saddest story arc
he survives, but is completely destroyed by the end
in season 1 he was a legitimate threat to Tony, and I remember thinking that their feud would be the main plotline in the series
but then he just degenerated, lost power, lost his mind, lost his family even, and has no memories

I think he deep down cared for Tony like a son, but mob politics and toxic family relations ruined it
them having fond memories of playing catch is a nice touch I guess

It never felt like he really cared about Tony until he started stacking losses.

Junior is just an egotist and seethes at even minor slights. He’s like Livia in that he can’t actually love anyone and this problem made Tony act the same way, though he obviously is more self aware about it.

All due respect, you got no f*ck*ng idea what it’s like to be number one TV series. Every decision you make affects every facet of every other f*ck*ng Cinemaphile meme. It’s too much to deal with almost. And in the end, you’re completely alone with it all.

June was literally Tony's father figure. That's why the whole friction between them cuts so deep.
