>In May, Ryan North and Iban Coello will celebrate 700 awe-inspiring issues of FANTASTIC FOUR with a giant-sized throwdown against the team’s legendary archnemesis: Doctor Doom!
>Making his first appearance in North and Coello’s run, Doom will attempt to use his unmatched expertise to fix the fatal misstep that kicked off the Fantastic Four’s new era. Still haunting the team and causing a dramatic rift between Marvel’s first family, readers are only just starting to put the pieces of the mystery together.
>After it’s fully revealed later this month in FANTASTIC FOUR #4, the team will be reunited at last just in time for Doom to rock their world once more! The iconic villain will embark on an epic journey across space and time to reverse the damage that his most bitter foes have unleashed on the Marvel Universe. Will he be able to succeed where Reed Richards failed? Or will his meddling make matters far, far worse?
>The over-sized spectacular will also see the Fantastic Four reach their new base of operations—not knowing that their greatest threat has made it there first! As their knowledge of LANGUAGE ITSELF begins to melt from their minds, the Four are in disarray as their existence hangs in the balance... and the greatest villain of all time finally seals their DOOM.
“I feel privileged to be writing the Fantastic Four at any time, honestly, but getting to have a big milestone issue happen on my watch is certainly lucky—and it's an opportunity I didn't want to waste,” North said. “A big anniversary issue like this demands a similarly big story, something meaningful, impactful, and memorable. And given that it's a supersized issue with more room to play, everything aligned to do a story with the Fantastic Four's most meaningful, impactful, memorable, and supersized villain: Doctor Doom.”
“Doom demands nothing less than the biggest issue of the year being dedicated to him, and I dare not defy Doom,” he continued. “It's a big twisty story that brings the Fantastic Four to their new home and views what's happened to both families over the past year in a new light. The Fantastic Four are down, but not out, and Doom senses an opportunity...”
>Since the series launched last year, North and Coello have kept readers on the edge of their seats with world-class sci-fi storytelling that only the Fantastic Four can deliver. Don’t dare miss a single issue as the true depths of the Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben’s current predicament have only begun to unravel! Check out Alex Ross’ latest breathtaking cover below and pick up FANTASTIC FOUR #7, the colossal 700th issue, when it hits stands on May 17!

Oof
when will learn what the FF did?
Issue 4
at least it is faster than Spider-man, and Hulk that hade the same dumb mystery Box shenanigans
new GOTG is doing it too, it's so fucking gay
it is an odd trend for Marvel books right now and I'm not sure why. At least GOTG has the excuse of two years going by in real-time since it started being published again for a new status quo the other books do not so much.
It's a cinematic plot device they're using, where you start at the action, then either go back and come to the event, or time skip ahead and show how it effected everything. The thing is, it's not bad in cinema, your payoff is within an hour or 2, and if it was meh, you didn't waste that much time on it. TV does similar stuff, but usually by a midseason cliffhanger they've shown the event, so you're looking at 6-8 weeks, so if the build up was for nothing it feels worse than the movie, but still not pointless. However with these, you're looking at months to a year before any payoff, and if it was worthless, it's all a waste of time because everything will revert back within a year. The worst one will be One Piece, because if it turns out the One Piece is the friends we made along the way, Luffy's Devil Fruit, or we never find out by the end, it will have been a decade long ride for nothing
And the idea here is Marvel is trying more cinematic storytelling so that they can adapt arcs for the screen easier, meaning easier MCU movies.
>The worst one will be One Piece, because if it turns out the One Piece is the friends we made along the way, Luffy's Devil Fruit, or we never find out by the end, it will have been a decade long ride for nothing
The One Piece has been confirmed in universe to be a real treasure. That's why the meme "The One Piece is real" exists.
>becomes God
>turns into a mortal again
>gets bored
>goes to hound Reed for the 945096896749567th time
>Doom has a time machine just lying around
>also hates Richards
>doesn't use his time machine to pull a Zoom on Reed
He’s autistic about winning “the right way”.
He could use it to fuck with Reed in little ways.
>"You fool, Richards! I've jerked off in every bowl of cereal you've eaten since you were eight years old!"
He doesn't want to win by underhanded means, he just wants to prove he's better
Dan Slott already ruined the fantastic four there's no way to fix the damage
What did he do?
made them poor, lame and focus on climate change, gave Reed a sister that's also a black, strong, independent woman of color, also made some retarded new race of human aliens that are basically the inhumans but worse
Didn’t Reed already have a few half siblings? His dad fucked around. Who cares that she’s black.
the problem is not that she's black anon...
The problem isn't that she's black, the problem is that Dan Slott thought the FF being "too white" was such a problem that Reed needed a black sister. That and him making her unlikeable without apparently intending it.
She's just a normie so she'll probably never even appear again.
Reed's dad is just a mess of retcon so adding another sibling was pointless not help by the fact she was a normal Marine bioligist wereas the other half siblings lived in a bunch of diffrent dimensions
So nothing other FF writers haven't done? How did it ruin the FF
>She's just a normal marine biologist
>has always known her relation to Reed and just doesn't care
>is a total cunt to him the entire story
It's like Slott was trying to make the most unlikable character in history
neat
Where's dicky I haven't seen dicky for half a year now
