DBZ is one of the rare animu where the english dub is vastly superior.
The only thing superior about is that Goku isn't a granny, the superior choice is any other dub not based in the English version.
OP is misleading it. They are saying the translation is fricking bullshit and that's true. They aren’t trying to judge whether English VAs are good or not.
They are though. There are comments saying the granny is better
that’s understandable because it’s related to goku’s character
goku’s VA hasn’t changed since kid goku which was on purpose and he wouldn’t make a righteous speech
they arent saying that at all. look at the comments, they're all making fun of how terrible the voices sound and pitying westerners for having to put up with that.
you are probably missing the context then
this video is all about terrible translation, not VAs skills
They're about both, and the people in the comments are saying as much.
>They’re about both
not really
at least you can understand the intention of the video if you’re not a complete moron
You can keep coping at your leisure, but japs think the dub is shit by every metric, and everyone who isn't a complete moron agrees with them.
>this video is all about terrible translation
How the frick would ESLs know what a terrible translation is
Those Japanese subtitles are literal translations of what those characters are saying in English in the video
Japs know the original ones in manga
>this video is all about terrible translation, not VAs skills
Nah, plenty of the Jap comments are also shitting on the English VAs.
Multiple comments are laughing about Frieza's voice and say he sounds like a little kid.
Also
which is someone saying Goku sounds like a nog.
Are you fricking moronic?
I’m saying THIS VIDEO IS ABOUT SHITTY TRANSLATION no matter what they say in the comment section
Sounds like they aren't very good at judging voices then and so their opinions hold little weight.
Now THIS is a cope.
Do you think Frieza sounds like a little kid and Goku sounds black or do you think that's inaccurate?
>Do you think Frieza sounds like a little kid
Yes, I always hated Frieza's annoying voice.
eng dubs of popular anime are usually great. DBZ is one of the rare one that the general public gave the dub a chance. Listening to jap is a weeb cope. You can't really tell if the voice acting is good or not since it's not your language you don't sense the substiles, so jap always sounds good.
db and kai's dubs are fine. z's and gt's are irredeemable trash thanks to the translations. the acting is whatever but the script makes it unwatchable.
>You can't really tell if the voice acting is good or not since it's not your language you don't sense the substiles, so jap always sounds good
Only morons think this.
>You can't really tell if the voice acting is good or not since it's not your language you don't sense the substiles, so jap always sounds good
This is a dubgay cope.
The truth is emotion transcends language. You can tell when someone is bad at acting even if you don't speak the language.
>eng dubs of popular anime are usually great.
Oh god no, most dubs suck ass.
DBZ is one of the rare ones where (the main cast) don't sound like shit.
Unfortunately many of the side characters (especially the female ones) do suck ass.
I have no idea why Americans and white people who watch anime make dubs their whole identity, it's common knowledge that most of them are shit, and no one disputes this when you say live action dubs are largely shit because it's common knowledge.
>DBZ is one of the rare ones where (the main cast) don't sound like shit
But it does sound like shit.
Every dub sounds like shit.
Obligatory
Yu Yu Hakusho dub was most the same VA cast as the original toonami DBZ dub, but a lot of those VAs were pretty new to voice acting when they started dubbing DBZ but Yu Yu Hakusho came along around the end of cell/beginning of Buu arc so the funi cast had a bit more experience
YYH also had its script almost entirely rewritten to sound better in English and this is a big reason why the dub is remembered fondly. These days such heavy liberties with the script would send spergs into conniption fits, but YYH gets a pass because it came out before they were born.
>These days such heavy liberties with the script would send spergs into conniption fits
People who care that much don't watch dubs, their issue is when the subs are just the dub copy and pasted.
Watching dubs is for white people with lower-order intellect and hispanics who wish they were white.
>YYH also had its script almost entirely rewritten to sound better in English
I feel like this couldn't even be done with a lot of anime even if they wanted to, even the Japanese version of Yu Yu has a very loose and flowing rapport with the way characters talk to each other, but a lot of anime have kind of stiff dialogue whether it be subbed or dub (though the Japanese VAs are typically just of a higher quality so they can mask the stiffness better a lot of the time - along with the anime literally being made and directed to be spoken in Japanese first and foremost)
A lot of anime don't have world class dialogue to begin with, it's mostly just a bunch of cliches. This means the translators has two basic options: translate literally and get stilted, boring dialogue, or try and pump it up a little, as much as you think you can get away with, without changing the intent of the words. YYH is more of the latter. A lot of the dialogue in YYH is just standard battle shounen fare, and it only really shines in certain character interaction moments. The dub injecting tons of personality into the script did wonders for it.
Of course, when you have something that has really good dialogue in Japanese, then you want to be as faithful to the original script as you can, but that's often really hard since Japanese writers who make full use of their language's frustratingly vague grammar can make stuff that is a real pain to translate well. Case in point: Bakemonogatari, which to date has no dub probably because it would be nearly impossible to make one that's anywhere near as good at as the Japanese.
As if a dubtroony would know anything about anime dialogue.
"anime dialogue" is why a lot of people stop watching anime or never got into anime in the first place
Same thing happens in DBZ, Goku has some intelligent lines instead of always being a tard. They rewrote a lot of parts to make everything flow better. In contrast Kai is directly translated resulting in every line sounding like word soup.
Yu Yu didn't really change the narrative of anything in the same way that DBZ dub did other than something with Toguro (Home For Infinite Losers type thing)
Koto here was probably the most radical change where in manga/Jap she's just a standard tournament announcer but in dub they meme'd the shit out of her and made her all sadistic and bloodthirsty - but it worked and was fun
bullshit, back when i didnt know english i could tell when the acting or vioce acting in a move was bad, so dont give me that cope
>inb4 ESL
>You can't really tell if the voice acting is good or not since it's not your language
Genuine cope.
Dub quality comes down almost entirely to the individual VAs and the voice direction.
Case in point - S1 of Made in Abyss is one of the better dubs of the last decade, but S2 is fricking appalling, and the only major change is that the new VAs that were added to the cast just had really mediocre direction.
Dragon ball Z is the series that turned me off dubs, I watched all of OG DB dubbed but then right after I watched the episode where vegeta escapes earth I learnt about how they butchered Gokus reason for letting him live and I haven't watched a dub since (except a couple times I was too slow to make it to a subbed showing of a movie, one of those times being Super Broly) not as religious about original language for vidya though
>they butchered Gokus reason for letting him live
what did they change it to? I only read the manga, but I'm assuming it's something along the lines of
>if you kill your enemies, they win!
Not so much if you kill your enemies they live as goku having a desire to see him redeemed
which I guess in the end he did
Both english and japanese dubs are bad
latin dub is peak
see
>check this hecking argument
>not an argument
>Pablo doesn’t know the difference between a question and an argument
I guess I'm moronic for thinking that it would be actual latin
Not at all
>Completely nonsensical made-up plot until the 22nd world tournament because they were still using the "Zero and the magical dragon" script
>Even after that, the dub just keeps fricking up, especially when it comes to numbers (eg: Raditz saying Goku has a power level of over 12k or Frieza saying his power level is 53k instead of 530k)
>Voice actors are extremely wienery and constantly improvise out of character lines because they believe they know their characters better than Toriyama.
I've seen a lot of latin american dub fans who honestly believe that Frieza changing his tone with every transformation is something invented by the latin dub because Frieza's mexican voice actor said so, and they won't believe that his tone changes are based on Ryusei Nakao's voice acting even after seeing proof of it
have a nice day newbie. Dbzs dub is atrocious.
I cannot fathom how people have this opinion. Frick you
Amerimutts are delusional.
>DBZ is one of the rare animu where the english dub is vastly superior.
100% agreed and anyone who disagrees is either a weeb purist or a fricking 3rd worlder. The dialogue and score of the Funi dub was perfect for DBZ. Faulconer is to DBZ was what John Williams was to Star Wars. His music perfectly encapsulated the mood of what DBZ is and all of them were straight bangers. Way better than the gay ass Japanese flutes. And at times the added dialogue of the Funi dub gave even more depth to a scene or character
Majin Vegeta speech is best example. Here are 2 direct comparisons
Vegeta turning super saiyan and Majin Vegetas speech.
?si=4obzVHk8M5xgNQeo
?si=EwyWXLGLZcYoTQ6V
The dub sounds moronic.
>look at both of these awful english dubs
... western voice acting just isn't on par with japanese. it never will be.
English dubbing is particularly bad. I can listen to dubs from most places and they're usually at least okay, but english dubs consistently sound like ass.
This. I do wish that the intro credits in DBZ changed through the series. In retrospect it should have been like this.
>Dragon Ball early episodes
>Dragon Ball later episodes
>Saiyan Saga
Japanese intro with English vocals. Best as a transition from DB to DBZ.
>Frieza Saga
Rock the Dragon intro
>Cell Saga
Cartoon Network intro 1
>Majin Buu Saga
Cartoon Network intro 2
That later dragon ball one is removed.
Probably region blocked for you.
what nostalgia does to a motherfricker, you were raised watching a false version get over it
This. I can't stand granny Goku screaming ATATATATATATATA
If those nips wanted to keep the granny actor, then they should've pitched her voice in the editing room to sound more like a man.
True.
>all these seething replies
You're 100% correct, kek.
Sub purists are braindead morons for shilling granny Goku voicing like 10 different characters in the anime.
No only Goku and by extension Gohan has age appropriate voice, that's about it
>30-40 y/o man means sounds like a 90 y/o female smoker
>"age appropriate"
Are you moronic?
I couldn’t care less of the opinion of a nip subhuman who would dare prefer granny Goku jap voice. Just like Dub Goku I have more testosterone than them and could crush their skull in like a melon if I felt compelled
Your Goku is a israelite.
It's not the voices they're making fun of. It's the translation choices. Just to pick a few examples:
>It was full of many interesting points (lol), like Bardock being a scientist, Frieza asking for a countdown to his transformation, and then Vegeta just counting normally... (lol) I'm glad that it seems to have gotten better with the new version.
>Goku is too much of a chuunibyou...
>Vegeta is counting down way too fast
>If Bardock was a scientist, Raditz must have wanted to be a great scholar lol
>Bardock looks like a cornered office worker and it's so funny. Also, for some reason, it's a mystery that Frieza's subordinates also want to quit together.
>バーダック科学者
I saw that too, what is the original original japanese?
Also it sounds like the countdown bit wasn't in Japanese at all but I think it was a kek worthy addition
The original japanese didn't mention Bardock at all.
>didn't mention him at all
but they animated him and showed him on screen
No they didn't, moron. They're different scenes from different episodes.
He wasn't mentioned in the episode where Vegeta called him a scientist.
>>Goku is too much of a chuunibyou...
Why do people leave random Jap words when the translate half the time? I don't know what the frick a chuunibyou is
>I don't know what the frick a chuunibyou is
Then you should go back to whatever website you came from.
I think I'll stay here you weeb homosexual
Then don't complain when people call you a homosexual tourist.
>Nooo you have to know obscure Japanese terms
This isn't Cinemaphile weeb
>chuunibyou
>obscure
Pick one, tourist.
I'll pick both. It is obscure for anyone who isn't obsessed with Chinese little girl cartoons
Anime website, tourist.
Always amazes me how arrogant weeks are. They always think they were bullied in highschool because of their interests and not because they're neurotic dweebs like yourself
>projection
I accept your concession.
Nah it's just the truth
Sure it is. tourist.
shut the frick up. chunnibyou wasn't in the weeb lexicon when I got here in 2005.
>Chūnibyō is a Japanese colloquial term typically used to describe early teens who have grandiose delusions, who desperately want to stand out, and who have convinced themselves that they have hidden knowledge or secret powers. It translates to "middle-second syndrome" (i.e., middle-school second-year). It is sometimes called "eighth-grader syndrome" in the United States, usually in the context of localizations of anime which feature the concept as a significant plot element.
>spoonfeeding
>Pretending your autistic obsession with nippoid children's cartoons and their googoogaga baby language is deep esoteric knowledge worthy of gatekeeping
Deep enough to filter morons like you.
Who fricking cares? It's a show about a space monkey punching stuff. The plot does NOT matter. The creator can't even remember half his characters names.
>the show is shit so it's ok that my childhood dub is shit
Based Dubbro.
As well they should.
Now take your garbage back to Wrong board
dbz is a Cinemaphile anime, like madoka and (formerly) aot
I get that Cinemaphile has terrible taste in anime but its still anime and belongs on Wrong board
madoka is literally the only good anime in the last decade thoughsoever
Madoka is shit for the sole reason that its just a copy of Kamen Rider Ryuki.
hot take, very nice, but madoka has girl love
madoka had one good episode
No it's not, newbie.
>airs on televisions across the world
>millions of anons have seen it
It's Cinemaphile. Deal with it. It's so Cinemaphile related that the jannies let me transcribe 2 episodes across 4 threads complete with screengrabs. My autism rose to >9000 in those two weeks.

I got banned a few weeks ago by a fussy janny for making a Dragon Ball thread on Cinemaphile and it was deleted, despite everyone was well behaved in the thread and it was active
Jannies are colossal gays. I was in a thread about angel movies a while back and everyone was on topic. Discussing and recommending angel kino. And the thread suddenly got deleted and I got an off topic warning.
I watched this anime on broadcast tv before you were born.
>talk about it on Cinemaphile
>people start talking about if namek saga counts as isekai
Yeah, but they're also glad the newer dubs from DBZ Kai onward were (to an extent) closer.
Faulcouner DBZ > Jap shit. Imagine liking grandma Goku with shitty Jap marching band music with 'BOING BOING" sound effects.
Uh oh. A unfathomably based man is posting. Faulconer score is peak of DBZ.
>kid buu's theme
faulconer is a GOD
100% undeniable facts.
if you knew anything about faulcouner you'd know he did jack shit on the score and just took the credit. the actual people who worked on it got screwed
time to give people the credit they deserve. call it the faulconer team soundtrack. bruce falconer is a scumbag who took credit of all the music when he barely contributed anything. his known works is shit like the title card or the next episode tease theme. bruce's work post dbz proves that compared to the actual composers for dbz like scott morgan or mike smith, etc.
WHAT
damn what a dick
3rd worlders shitting themselves like usual in the face of these facts
>the Japanese score
I watched the dubs as a kid because that's what was on tv, but who still watches dubs. All dubs suck. There's people who watch our shows dubbed.
Sorry, but Dragonball Evolution is peak Dragonball and can't be topped.
Imma top you
Glad this came out right before I graduated high school and I was able to see it with all my bros. Having people to mock it together with made it almost good.
They're right. The FunimatioBlack folk are all corrupt, talentless c**ts. Sean Schemmel is a c**t, Chris Sabat is a c**t, and Monica Rial is a GIGAc**t. They treat an entire industry like a high school clique, and they have a monopoly over English dubbing.
Ironically, the description and some of the commenters gave credit to Funimation for sticking more closely to the script from DBZ Kai onward.
Bear in mind, this video came out in 2018.
If you are over the age of 10 and still watch things dubbed, you are subhuman.
No, you are a dubhuman. If you watch with subs you are a subhuman.
for me it's the seed of might edition
colour corrected db is the best it's ever been outside of actually watching it on tv in the 80s
cant wait for them to finish z and gt
I only read the manga when I want to revisit dbz these days. The voices i hear in my head are much better, the dub honestly aged like shit and I feel like those that defend it probably haven't watched it since they were a kid. The original Japanese is ok but I can't get behind goku
I'm literally rewatching it right now and I flick between the Jap and Eng audio just to see the differences in certain scenes. I can acknowledge that the Eng version is often close to rewrite tier but I still prefer the English voices.
I hate how funi makes the characters talk constantly over periods of silence
?si=sMtI76nsye1d-bqH
DBZ's dub is unironically one of the worst dubs out there. It's like they got some random fool off the road to write what he thinks cool and badass dialogue sounds like.
I unironically think the English dub is better.
>frog poster
Checks out.
Original Goku has a thick rural accent
So it’s no wonder non-Japs feel it’s weird but that’s big part of his character for Japs
>dubshitters never got to experience this OPUS
LatAm dub CHADS still reign supreme.
>Original score with localized lyrics, still being respectful to the source.
>Hotblooded, yet not overtly campy dub.
>Kept three, soon to be four, generations of hispanics entertained and with high spirits.
>Effortlessly mogs the IberiaBlack folk' "dub"
Why do hispanics think their shit doesn't stink?
Listen to that and tell me its not pure KINO.
Its shit.
Spanish is an ugly language also.
>悟空、なんかブラックみたいなこと言ってる
I will watch DBZ, Yugioh, Pokemon, Digimon, Eva, Gundam Wing, Trigun, Sailor Moon and Zoids all dubbed and there's not a god damn thing you can do about it.
I don't give a shit. Ocean Vegeta is best Vegeta
>That's my senpai... I'd better be polite!
WOW dub actors speaking Japanese? Fricking cringe, it sounds sooooooo bad. The manga scanlation was so much better than this trash.
>Waku waku Bejita-sama! We musto use the doragon borus... Furiza?
The Seiyuu are sooo good! I can really feel the emotion! I wish I spoke Japanese so I didn't need these subtitles though.
(People also lost their minds that a character in the Jujutsu Kaisen dub had a normal adult voice because the Japanese version was voiced by Dio)
>ITT: Autists can't make out the context of the video nor the meaning of the comments below it
This seems to happen anytime someone on Cinemaphile brings up a youtube video
it's a really good example of bad localization which was pretty common in the 90s
chuunibyou or not, goku would never talk like a typical preachy hero and it’s clearly against author's intention
weebs hate woke translators these days but they don't do this kind of shit now at least
Im sorry japs but the ocean dub murders the original scene here.
?si=WmOABpiMomEybbPK
Funi dub is wack but it has the best music
Only the ocean dub and the early funi dub are worth watching. Everything after is Schemmel and Sabat overacting and sounding like try hard homosexualS
Only Vegeta is good on the ocean dub. Drummond is one of the best in any language. He actually sounds like an evil manlet
i like piccolo's ocean dub actor also https://youtu.be/Dhk_kiptyC4?si=1zuR2s5VgWgo9U7O&t=59
The ginyu force sounded great in the ocean dub too.
wait drummond? you dont mean ryan drummond?
Brian Drummond. He was also Zechs in Gundam Wing
ah i get it now
Two different people
https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Brian-Drummond/
https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Ryan-Drummond/
are they related somehow?
Not immediately. Brian works in Vancouver (Canada). Ryan works (worked?) in San Francisco.
Blue Popo's from a TV-only edit of Kai that aired on The CW's Saturday morning block in the early '10s. It hasn't been seen since.
Ocean dub for the 1st 3 DBZ movies is the best dub DBZ ever had.
What do they say about this?
never watched dbz but from what i could tell form ads, he was never censored over here (taco land)
He wasn't censored in the original DBZ or in the version on Kai I watched. I have e no idea what that's from
If they had a blast with this I wonder how they feel about Portuguese Vegeta's beating from Frieza
Funi dub was rough in the beginning however once they got to late Cell arc/Buu arc, the dub became good.
>only became good after 2/3rds of the show was done
Not exactly high praise
Cell and Buu had the most episodes. So not really 2/3rds and the funi dub started halfway through Frieza.
This is hot shit. FAILimation always loses. Malaysian dub sounds worlds better. At least it tried to sound accurate to the original Japanese transcript instead of not at all
>"You are now finished, Saya people!"
?si=9tomRn7-MJW9kJhX
lmfao
that's funny considering he sounds like a woman in the jap version
That would be because he's voiced by an old lady in Japanese. Japan is big on allowing voice actors to reprise their roles even across different productions in different media. That's why Nozawa, who voiced Goku in the original Dragon Ball anime, has continued to voice him in every other Dragonball spinoff, even though he's now an adult man and not a child, and her voice has become increasingly shrill over the decades.
I remember Hideo dropped Snake's English VA for no reason at one point and it pissed off a lot of people. Snake's Japanese VA is really seasoned, but his English one is nice too
KINO

Even Japs know Mexican dub is better
Funi DBZ > Kai dub > Ocean Dub > shit > more shit > chink version
>Kai comes out
>People who grew up with the Z dub seethe nonstop about it
>post tons of videos about how it’s shit and how the original dub is based
>watch Kai years later because I don’t have time to rewatch 300 episodes of Z
>it’s a better experience in literally every way
I will never forgive dubshitters for this one. Enjoy your shitty voice acting, super hero speeches and techno-rock music that changes between 5 different tracks every 20 seconds.
Wait, was the dub always this bad or is my memory that hazy?
Whoever decided to license a bunch of nu-metal and 90's rock for the movies was a hero. Whoever had the skill with which they matched it to the scenes was a true genius.
No other anime will ever surpass the Faulconer DBZ experience.
Italian dub is the best

The Japanese is fine for what it is, but I can't see someone fluent in both languages preferring it outside of the 90's dub team changing the script (which was resolved in Kai).
Also, some of the dub changes actually are dramatically better than the original. Compare:
These are wildly different but it's obvious which is superior.
kek I thought Vegeta doing a countdown for Freeza was from the abridged series
>there still isn't a full trunks spinoff
ngmi
What the frick was his problem?
He's a huge butthole that kills all tension just by being there. He should have fricked off after his movie, but Toei kept him around and his gay improper eating handler
Rock the Dragon > Cha La Head Cha La and it's not even close.
American dub is better than Japanese cause DBZ is literally anime WWE in space featuring burly space monkeys beating the shit out of each other and power levels. The synth rock music works leagues better. Even the straight up rock music like fricking Deftones was insanely fitting. Goku turning super saiyan with Deftones is way more hardcore. Even Gokus dialogue is way better
>American
>The weak die, and the strong survive
>Fine, we'll play by your rules cooler,, LETS GO!
>Badass rock music plays that perfectly matches the scene
>Japanese
>I'm not forgiving you anymore, even if you do apologize you scumbag!
>Lame music plays that doesn't even fit the scene
Incredibly gay. Its just cope at this point to disagree.

It's going to sound like shit no matter how many times you repost it, dubtard.
The scene of Goku healing a bird is so cringe, he’s not and never will be Superman. No wonder Toriyama got pissed
The bird healing really was shit. Goku can't even find the time to check in on how his friends are doing, let alone use his powers to help the common man like Superman does. Gohan actually stopped what he was doing to fight crime when he was in high school. Goku never felt compelled to do that. He never gave a frick
The real Superman was Gohan, at least, that's what Toriyama had originally had in mind when he was writing slice of life early in the Buu arc. He should have kept going with that, but autists wanted more tournaments and then Toriyama quit
All the stuff up until the tournament falls apart is so good.
>meanwhile in the manga Goku was willing to sacrifice himself to save the world from Cell and was completely against the idea of joining Raditz to become a space killer
You morons don't understand Goku's character. That is how Goku became a sociopathic moron in Super.
Goku is a Japanese goofball, not some American edge lord or meathead. The rock metal music doesn’t fit at all
This. All the people that say they enjoy it are lying.
I agree wholeheartedly.
t. euro
>featuring burly space monkeys
Not anymore.
Is a shame how thin everyone has gotten, I get that the actual physical strength isn't that important anymore but there should still be significant buffness as a base
>he was able to redeem himself
I'm happy for him, bros
No dub is going to be perfect because English to Japanese will never translate properly. Frick, look at Naruto. There’s no 1:1 translation for dattebayo so they made gay ass catchphrase this gay ass "believe it" instead.
>translate properly
That's not the issue, dumbass.
The issue is that the number of syllables per line is different between languages but thei're either unable or unwilling to edit the footage to account for different lip flaps.
Which is where we get shit like "Autonomous Ultra Instinct" because Ultra Instinct is way fewer syllables than Migate no Gokui
actually idk why i called you a dumbass, that was uncalled for.
Thank you for apologizing
You actually typed yatsu but then I translated and dubbed it as dumbass.
NEXT TIME ON DRAGON BALL Z

It's funny how many complaints and hate the actual licensed english dubs of DBZ get but then the abridged stuff is so popular (popular enough that you often see people get recommended to watch that first instead of an actual dub or sub)
Only dubtards fellate that slop.
I'm a subgay and I like DBZA, or at least until the cell arc, I actually kind of like HFIL
You have massive shit taste.
i eat troony ass, so yes
Since we are on the subject, which version has the best Raditz?
I always hated how scratchy and coarse kid Goku, kid Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Frieza’s voices were
Is it me or do me or American dub voices sound the same, especially the female VAs. Luffy, young Gohan, and Naruto all sound the same in the dubbed version
The dub was pretty objectively bad, in that it strayed heavily from the source material. The voice acting and some of the choices to update the soundtrack and make it appeal to westerners were pretty good though, especially for the time. I still think Chris Sabat's Vegeta was at its absolute peak between Trunks and Cell, with a few key scenes in Buu Saga. I don't care much for it anymore and think he got too comfortable so it just sounds softer and more like his Piccolo to me. However, I think it was too rough and trying too hard to emulate Brian Drummond's Vegeta when he initially took over at the end of the Frieza saga. It really hit its stride during the start of the Android saga.
As far as the soundtrack, while I can also appreciate the original and am a bit older so I think a lot of the Faulconer stuff can sound corny, I do think he did a great job making some impressive and iconic tracks. I think my only complaint would be some of the tracks being improperly forced into scenes, like when Gohan initially goes SSJ2, I think the silence and timing in which the music hits in the original Japanese is far better than the added monologue and less emotional music choices out of all his possible tracks in the dub.
I'm glad the nips can appreciate and roast our shit.
The english dub for DBZ Kai is the best way to experience Dragon Ball.
>フリーザのこえがやべぇwww
>Frieza's voice is amazing lol
I think they're just interested at the differences, they seem to kinda like it. and saying that goku is speaking chuuni is pretty funny
Lol i didn't even remember that Bardock scientist thing. Kinda weird idea to just throw it in there
