Friends falling in love with the first moronic girl that acknowledged their existence.
The writers' other sitcoms are all like this and most of them stink tbqh. I genuinely don't hold whatever cynical/nihilistic view they do, but it's like that's expected of the viewer.
Back was good for a short while, but only because of the mystery element of "is this guy actually some kind of sociopath?" But even "regular" characters were grey blobs of how-awful-life-is.
