>just for some stupid kids to ruin my whole experience and immersion
Feel sad for americans if this is what it's like. Here it's an unwritten rule that you stay quiet unless there's comedy, in which case you're allowed to laugh
I'm not even american. god knows what happens there then
ex when I went to see pet sematary reboot there were literally tweens taking pictures with flash/laughing and shit. that's mostly why I stopped going to cinema
i saw the first one back when i was sort of deliberately keeping up with some pop culture. but i got nothing out of it from that angle at all. no one irl had anything interesting or critical to say about it. the only thing i enjoyed were the harkonnen scenes so maybe i’ll watch the second for like the potential of15 minutes of kino. the atreides are so gay man who gives a frick
IMAX virgin here, got basically a free ticket. The theater is not one of the few showing in 70mm but apparently it is still the 4K IMAX w/ large screen. Am I missing out not seeing it in 70mm? Again, I've never been to an IMAX regardless. What am I in for?
Real 70mm IMAX is higher resolution and uses the full 4:3 aspect ratio. But the digital 4k IMAX still has much better sound and picture quality than your typical theater projection system which should lend to a very immersive experience.
No I won't. I hope it fails, and I hope it turns studios off from ever greenlighting another sci-fi blockbuster for the next 10 or so years that isn't named Avatar
Nope. On cam. And will switch it off or skim through it.
It's what it deserves.
Was it filmed on 70mm? No?
I'll watch it on my laptop, then.
it was filmed on imax but not imax70mm. if you don't know the difference then sure.
Not worth the money, then.
that's fricking beautiful
nice
I thought it was the same dune as in Part 1's posters
>You're going to go see it in IMAX, right
Yeah, I sure enjoy going to the cinema just for some stupid kids to ruin my whole experience and immersion

That's everywhere, moron.

Im going to se it in cinema with me mum
Nope, going to listen and occasionally glance at a camrip on my phone.
Is it going to come out on HBO MAX as well? I dont go to the cinema anymore.
Yea, first IMAX experience too
Hope it's worth the extra 5 bucks per ticket
Camrip, on my phone on the toilet
Just like how Dennis intended
RPX.
Everyone on Cinemaphile is poor. You think we pay for films? Most of us don't even watch the films that we shit on. I know I don't.
My household income is $150k.
>household
Sure thing stay at home dad
>paying to see dune part deuce

>movie is mostly about people talking in rooms
>"I insist on filming it in IMAX"
Nolan you son of a b***h!
the nuke scene was good
as was the apocalypse montage
> $25 a ticket plus tax and parking for half a movie.
No -- think not.

YES AND I WILL DRY FAST FOR 48HRS BEFORE TO ENHANCE THE IMMERSION
ᑐᑌᑎᑕ•
has there been a leak? wher do you typically find leaks? i2p?
Yes got my tix already
I will also take an overdose of PCP beforehand to try to stay awake for the duration.
unironically yes, I'm sad I didn't watch the last one in imax
Yes even though my shithole of a city only has a single laser digital IMAX theater.
I'll wait until a good homosexual reaction video maker reacts to it and it's on kemono.su, and then watch it with them drunk as shit.

yes
first one was complete shit
No I won't. I hope it fails, and I hope it turns studios off from ever greenlighting another sci-fi blockbuster for the next 10 or so years that isn't named Avatar
BFI on opening weekend, should be fun. Science museum has laser, but the seats are so uncomfortable
My local theater is getting one of the 70mm 5 perf prints, going to see that.
