Nothing supports this.
3. They don't want their kids to think that gays are okay and that being gay isn't a big deal. Parents want their kids to share their beliefs and that's hard to do on this topic because the belief is so flimsy just knowing gays exist or seeing them in media makes things awkward for them. They don't want to be responsible for saying "we believe gays are bad and shouldn't get married" so they want to avoid the topic.

Not particularly, no. I do have a few trans friends who probably would have been happier if they knew what being trans was sooner, but I dunno what the solution is there. You need a dysphoria diagnosis and a lot of talking therapy before you consider even social transitioning, much less pumping chemicals into your body. Not particularly, no. I do have a few trans friends who probably would have been happier if they knew what being trans was sooner, but I dunno what the solution is there. You need a dysphoria diagnosis and a lot of talking therapy before you consider even social transitioning, much less pumping chemicals into your body. This floaty, abstract notion of gender doesn't seem like it's concrete enough for young kids to get a handle on, as opposed to attraction, which starts with your first chaste crush.
