This. I don't care what ~~*critics*~~ have to say about a self-funded movie on social commentary which ~~*hollywood*~~ tried desperately not to support in any way.
Why do you give a frick what rotten tomatoes says? I don't give a frick either way about this movie, but why can't you make your own fricking mind up about anything? You disgust me and I wish you were dead.
What are they going to do with the interview scene when they release it on streaming? I haven't seen it but apparently there's a scene where someone from the audience actually talks to kylo ren
btw weebs, is this that weird Ikebukuro theatre that's NOT the toho tower?
Because I only was here once to see Rise of Skywalker the first and last time I saw it and last time I watched Star Wars and it was a surreal theatre, almost like a concert arena.
There's probably an alternate cut for that scene and only some showings will have the live bit. Apparently when Twixt was screening, Coppola and the composer would queue up the order the scenes would play in and which music selections would play during them live during the screening, so each one was different. The wide release and home media version was just one potential cut they did in the editing room, and a couple years ago we got an alternate cut using different scenes on bluray.
Of course, if there's anything to learn from Twixt, it's that this movie will most likely suck all kinds of balls and not a single performance will be able to redeem it.
what do mean by this? like each screening is supposed to have an actor sit in the theater and exchange dialogue with adam driver's character on screen? how the frick does that work?

They might do that for a few premier screenings but I'm positive regular screenings will just have those lines in the actual movie. Coppola has had this weird idea about incorporating live performance elements into his movies for a while, but I doubt he's invested enough in that gimmick to demand it for literally every single showing.
50% for a movie with no effort just means it's a B movie.
A bad movie tries and scores 30% or less.
An ambitious effort movie at 50% is literally perfect art.
This movie is woke. Driver's protag is a TECHNOCRAT who has progressive ideas to save NYC/rome/USA. FFC still thinks California is doing great on green energy bills
I'm now convinced there's a very oblique merchant reference in this film that would make no sense to normies but we would all get it immediately and there's kvetching going on.
Critic score means less than nothing to me. Show me the audience score, then show me examples of positive / negative reviews from people who are not paid to tow a company line.
Haven't seen it, don't really know what it's about, but why is it called Megalopolis if it's about the fall of the American Empire? America is hardly characterized by a megalopolis or megapolises, especially in comparison to a lot of other countries.
It will have jumped up another 30 points after 200 reviews. It's ambition is undeniable and nobody is yet to deny it.
People don't want original. they want more batman, superman, joker, spiderman shit.
I'm going to pay to see this film and there is nothing you can do about it.

Oh no, the critics who have been out of touch since the 70s didn’t like an ambitious movie. I better go see something they did like instead
probably means its good actually, how can you take those ratings seriously?

Any kinophile worth his salt will know the lines beforehand. Do the work.
CGI Coppola overlayed in the corner of the screen
Kek what would they do for some morning showing in some bumfrick town? They arent hiring someone to work every screening of it to ask questions
Use this footage.

The perfect movie is 50% like to dislike ratio because its divisive and causes discussion

Yes its literally an inverse the fountainhead.
If anything a split score indicates more than overwhelming positivity.
I will now watch your movie
It's still going to win the Palme Dor
>CRITICS CONSENSUS: brain hurty this isn’t iron man why isn’t Kylo Ren quipping?
I can't stand Adam driver.
Gyno goblin was a mistake
jews fear the independently wealth auteur and will stop at nothing to ruin him.

considering rt gave furiosa a 90% im thinking if rt hates it it must be homosexual-, Black person- and girlpower- free which makes it worth watching
this movie will feed shitposting for at the minimum 18 months

It’s a Batman V Superman situation
Megalopolis was simply too deep for modern audiences to understand
>BvS
>deep
bait
at least it stands out from the grey slop that keeps getting churned out. ill check it out on a discount day.
