>Movies are 616 instead of 199999
Please tell me this isn't officially from the movie?
It is, but Cinemaphile has already found a cope to justify it.
They've now firmly established in multiple ways that the movies take place in their own multiverse separate from the comics one. They will NEVER cross over and each has their own Earth-616.
The name 199999 was never canon to Kevin Feige anyway. It's what the comics division called something they had no say over.
>They will NEVER cross over
Remember when 616 was never going to crossover with the Ultimate universe?
It's not a matter of if the movies crosses over with the comics but when.
If DC can have multiple earth-1's, then Marvel can have multiple 616's
The movie multiverse and the comic multiverse are completely separate:
-The TVA, if they were in the same multiverse, would be the same for both movies and comics; it isn't.
-Only one America Chavez exists in the movie multiverse, and it's not the one from the comics.
-The Infinity Stones work under different rules than the comic Infinity Stones
-Time travel at large works differently in the movies than the comics.
The fact that Selvig, the TVA, and Palmer (from the Illuminati universe) all labeled the main MCU universe as 616, and that Mysterio somehow lucked into the same number, is the least important evidence of the separation of these two multiverses.
>-Only one America Chavez exists in the movie multiverse, and it's not the one from the comics.
Yeah, remember when that "rule" applied to the comic version as well? Now she's got a dozen different variants.
Who...cares?
They left the stones in Thanos's glove.
MCU is 199999, our designation for it. Residents inside a universe have deemed themselves 838, and the MCU, 616. This really isn't hard, yet everyone goes full smoothbrain with nerd rage when muh comix number pops up. Only our designations matter, not the fictional characters.
Comics division will be shut down and replaced by mcu
The movie is its own multiverse separate but possibly related to the comics multiverse
One of the Spider-Verse worlds was also designated 616
Different adaptations/media seem to be their own local infinite multiverses. With their own rules, that's why there can only be one America Chavez in a multiverse but the comic Chavez is different from MCU Chavez who is different from Marvel Rising Chavez
Well even me I was confused the first time and I checked the wiki if it was still 199999, then I noticed it was a movie thing and I tought okay, maybe saying that number was dumb and then as an in movie explanation I tought
>Everyone will think is Earth 1 when you discover there are other earths, you'll start saying, I'm number one and you're two.
Why would any of those groups being present on earth matter in the slightest to Thanos fricking about in space?
If anything Captain Marvel sticking closer to home should make things easier for Thanos.
I'd like to see What If follow up on this by revealing that the Captain Carter universe in that was 838 or a slight variation on it. Because the finale of S1 teased a Winter Soldier inspired follow up story which the showrunner confirmed, so it'd be interesting if they tied Project Insight into the founding of the Illuminati. The MoM screenwriter said they cut a bunch of scenes which would've presented 838's Earth as more of a 1984 style police state.
If the colors of the stones are consistent, he managed to get Power, Space, Reality, and Mind, maybe Soul too, can't tell from what they show.
With different heroes around, who knows where each stone is in this universe. We can assume Power and Soul are in Morag and Vormir. Time is most likely on Earth, since Cagliostro and the Wizards existed. Space may still be on Earth, from Odin's visits to Earth in the past. Mind possibly never went to Earth. Reality may still be stuck in another dimension, if Bor hid it the same way; possibly accessible via the Space stone. Point is, he got most of them and probably was going for Time, which Strange would have had.
He probably got the ones from space and sent the mooks to Earth for whichever ones were there. Their heroes fought, with uncertain results. From what the Illuminati said, their Infinity War may have lasted longer than the 616 one (which was, what, just a couple days at most?), since they said while everyone else fought Thanos' forces, Strange used the Darkhold to look into the multiverse for ways to win, but "one night" he told the Illuminati he caused an incursion.
So they used the book of Vishanti and defeated him on Titan.
Most likely Chuck did the same thing as Mantis, but better, and from then it was just a matter of the heavy hitters beating on him and impaling him on his own weapon.
It's notable that he was wearing the armor, which in 616 he took off near the start of his pilgrimage. So maybe this Thanos had a less solemn attitude to his quest.
TL;DR: the different heroes aside from the Illuminati may not have made that much of a difference, beyond maybe resisting Thanos' forces for longer than the Avengers did. Thanos managed to get almost all the stones, and the Illuminati had to use the Book of Vishanti to find a way to kill him.
The fact he still has his armor on and the sword though makes me think he was being more cautious with the Illuminati because they would've likely been more of a threat to him than the scattered Avengers.
It doesn't make a ton of sense though because the Russos said the more stones he got the more less he needed the armor. And in Endgame that look was meant to represent "butcher" Thanos who hadn't fully developed into his Infinity War characterization yet. So maybe IW happened earlier in the timeline for 838.
Tobey stabbed him
>one singular member of the Fantastic FOUR shows up
>this movie says that Ben, Johnny and Sue would've been less useful than an F-Lister like Black Bolt
Phase 1
The individual movies probably go about the same until the Battle of New York
The Fantastic Four probably would have gotten involved with fighting off the invasion since they're right there in New York
Phase 2
>Reed probably investigates the Convergence in the Dark World, the FF get involved in the incursion of the Nine Realms
>Might see Lockjaw in the Collector's collection in GotG hanging out with Cosmo and Howard
Phase 3
>with so many more factions civil war becomes bigger than just one movie
>Between Reed, Inhuman technology and Charles banging Empress of the Shi'ar they probably have Warp capable spacecraft so there's no need to confront Thanos on Earth in Infinity War, they could go to Titan
