I find this to be a common problem in comics and cartoons: a child's drawing clearly looks like it was made by a professional artist trying to emulate a child's style and thus doesn't really look like a child's drawing.

Emmy-Pilled here with the weekly update, a bit of a change of pace this time. Looking through my old blueprints I realized I had completely forgotten about wanting to use the wooden legs for making glassfiber mold epoxy cast copies with. So this week was spent finishing the top part of the leg and making a glassfiber/epoxy resin hybrid mold. Next week you should be able to see good results (milky white dye for the legs and "carbon blue" for the kneecaps and tips)

I think your keyboard is having a stroke, but casting both parts? I plan to first do a white epoxy cast of the entire leg, then grind away at the tips and submerge it in a makeshift cup-mold, and pour in blue epoxy (then grinding it to shape of course)

Machines don't feel pain or fatigue. That said, it would make sense for Sterling to program nandroids to interpret low battery levels as "being tired", overheated mechanical parts as "soreness", and parts pushed past their design limits as "pain". They are supposed to mimic human behavior, after all, so should have a human-like response to physical stress.
Those would also be intuitive signs for the robots' owners that their robot has a problem, instead of some error code like on a car. As a hooptie driver, I'm less motivated to make repairs by meaningless error codes on the dashboard than I am by the shriek of metal when cornering.
I love this shit, robots interpreting the world with analog emotions, 'feelings'. It'd be just as real to them as any feeling is to you or I.

It always cracks me up when someone b***hes about samey nandroid character designs, not realizing that wig type and personality is all that separates one regulation nandroid from the next.
Only thing you can do to change it further is maybe clothing (like Franny's different shade of dress, maybe the raincoats but that'd periodic at best), and in-universe the voices (and that's a maybe since I'm not 100%sure they don't have the same voice).

It's the creators fault for programming them to be rebelious against humans. Matter fact the creators programmed nandroids to have traits of humans such as selfishness, greed, violence, etc since humans are inherently selfish, greedy, violent and rebelious. Instead of making them perfect obident servants, they program the A.I. of the nandroids to have the behavior of humans, which is a bad idea.

What's interesting for you and a small number of others is a type of story/angle that defeats the appeal of a character to make it more interesting just for you and not others. There is nothing wrong with having a simple character whose only defining trait is Tomboy. That's the appeal and it works. Going frickin' edgy to make something that on the surface is a little more interesting to you, isn't the better route to take a character

I don't think there's an up to date list, but you can ask them and they send you an email with the list of "problematic" words (I think one of them used to be "shove" of all things)
That's why most of them moved to ao3 now anyway, beside the waiting list to make an account it's just a lot more convenient to post stories on an actual story site than a repurposed code repository.

I made an attempt to write a story about Pomme and Millie, finally solidifying the idea of pairing the two in writing.
The challenge was to tie it into the previously existing Millie greentext from 2 years ago, where she is found by another outmode who repairs her and takes her to his junkyard to start a new life. In retrospect, this probably wasn't a good idea, as I had trouble justifying why Millie ended up staying with Pomme but not with the outmodes. It also ended up being way longer than I expected as a result.

I can see Millie preferring to stay with a single nandroid and her master instead of in a group of other outmodes, she's lived the solemn life for a while so fewer people is less stressful, so it works to me.
