He's only stuck with Emmy this long because he wants to draw her and hoped the comic would take off. If there's little money to be made I can't see him continuing much longer, as living in New York isn't cheap, especially if it's true he's putting 30+ hours a week into the strips.
Considering Emmy-Pilled's speed of progress that would not surprise me, in some ways it could be the swan song of the fanbase
Even if Dominic did quit at some point, the best gesture would be to post all of his sketches/notes/writing and see what the fanbase can come up with. How mad would it be to try and finish the comic ourselves? Pretty hard work, but a few in the discords would jump at such an opportunity, I'm sure
It would be more like the beginning of the comic, which is a big reason I started reading it, but the story was always meant to be about Emmy and her struggle being outmoded, per the concept art. I personally like the way it's going now

I like how this was an idea for months if not years but in the past raising that idea at all, taking a break, was called "concern trolling" when it's turned out to be the only viable option to keeping any sort of threads going on Cinemaphile. The current problem now is that you have people who are going to make garbage spam-tier Saturday threads like this one anyways because people are so adjusted to it so any deviation from that norm is impossible.

No, but you can take away what he feeds on by not engaging with this garbage and letting the threads die when they're supposed to and saging them when they won't die. Way, way back when when the early thread spammer was shitting things up (Fall 2020 and before) by making threads at the ass-early hours of the morning, the OP then solved it by subverting him by making an even earlier thread (once) with an actual comic, and that stopped the early-shitter dead in his tracks and basically established the pattern we have, or had, until now. The solution to what we have now is effectively the same- starve the shitters of their attention. But with Emmy threads that is far easier said than done since every anon needs to engage with every piece of nantales moment or discord shitter bait as if they're the Emmy internet defense force. Which is how we get to where we are here.
