Does ENA has clussy? the real answer is that ENA is too high art/experimental for most audiences. 90% of people are going to watch it once to see whats up, find it not to their taste and move on, compared to digital circus which parental guidance addled children will just watch on loop

      >ENA is too high art

Jesus Christ, do you also smell your own farts while you jerk off to ENA art? The real reason is ENA is falling off, from an interesting idea and concept it has slowly turned into a "Heres a new type of art i learned, so here it is" nonsense
Visually cool but with a non-existent narrative, even Xavier Renegade Angel did a better job at presenting a plot.

Xavier Renegade Angel is a professionally made network TV series, so yes it would have more structure compared to a web animation.
But also ENA is more popular than Xavier was when it aired

What are you two frickers talking about, the first 2 ENA episodes were just a bunch of random scenes about completely random skteches Joel made up for fun, last episode in the other hand was Joel moving into lore and character development with ENA trying to remember some traumatic experience while also trying to understand her own emotions so she can be happy. It started as randumb and now is trying to be artsy.

    A few reasons:
    >Glitch and Gooseworx both have audiences from their respective previous works, while ENA was the first time Joel G gained a lot of traction
    >TADC's retro-game aesthetic is much more inviting and eye-catching, while ENA's looks more like an art exhibit
    >ENA is more oblique, while Digital Circus is more straight-forward
    >Digital Circus pilot uploaded on October 13th, 2023; 10 + 13 = 23

Goose’s previous works had little to no influence on TADC’s popularity. Plenty of artists find success in one series and the next thing they put out completely flops. I remember watching little runmo, but I had no idea it was by the same person.

Both Goose's and Glitch's channels were no more popular than Joel G prior to TADC. Why are people suggesting otherwise?

Glitch was getting 10 million views per episode for Murder Drones prior to TADC. What are you talking about? A big chunk of TADC's initial viewership just before it blew up would have been from Glitch's regular viewers. Before Murder Drones Glitch's viewership was irrelevant, yes, but in the year since it grew to a definitely not insignificant size.

Ena is also in that 10 million view range

If TADC actually had a retro game aesthetic I'd respect it. Instead it looks and feels like Miraculous Ladybug. They should have stuck with the low poly cgi style briefly seen in the beginning.

It's less like the actual graphics of a retro game and more like promotional art made on a high-end workstation of the time.

it's more obvious in promotional art posted on glitch's social media, they don't try to fully imitate 90s cgi in the actual show by their own admission

ENA was only noticeably popular on places like Cinemaphile and reddit, while Digital Circus is more mainstream and The Hispanic fans latched in to it like it was Loud house x ben10 crossover.

    In resume, ENA is niche.

You guys are so out of touch with media logistics.

Most TV shows are lucky if they get a million viewers for an episode. Generally the median for this stuff is a few hundred thousand views, and that'll usually get you a decent payout if it's consistent.

The only media that gets the kind of numbers that digital circus gets are fricking cocomelon baby stim videos. It's a fluke that it got so big because the algorithm legitimately lumped it in with stuff for kids. You can look it up, it's not some hidden thing, and all the bootleg shit backs it up.

You got it backwards. There are bootlegs and finger families of Digital Circus because it's popular. TADC got inside of YouTube's algo-vomit because:
      >Cute, female, easy to draw, round head, round eyes, unique aesthetic (clown) protagonist
      >Protag is filled with anxiety, relatable to the target demographic
      >Sexyman bait rabbit and ringmaster teeth guy
      >Somewhat original theme (circus)
      >Gooseworx's pre-existing fame help boost this up

Of course, Goose also got good RNG with this.

Literally the only thing that put it in the algorithm was that it was a colorful 3d cartoon.

I don't know ow if you've noticed, but even mid student films done in 3d will outperform 2d stuff, especially if it's family friendly. It's been a trend since youtube existed, there are so many examples of 3d cartoons that mog the frick out of every classic viral 2d cartoon, it's just that nobody talks about them because the audience that watches that doesn't post on forums like this.

Not true, otherwise they would be dominating the indie animation web series market, however most of the active and recent +10 million views series are 2D: Helluva Boss, Spooky Month, Mystery Skulls, Confinement, Salad Fingers, Annoying Orange and Lackadaisy Cat.

Your argument is only correct if you include animation for toddlers and youtube shorts and in this case you will be crushed by those clickbait studios and even those 3D studios are starting to lose a lot of views to Elsagate which is mostly 2D nowadays

    Normies love digital circus
ENA is perfect for enthusiasts and patricians with superb tastes, Normies are far to moronic to ever get it nor should they be welcomed as they would shit up the place with the absolutely pure homosexualry such as what has occurred with TADC and the countless comic dubbed homosexualry occurring on youtube
Fan work of ENA is made with SOVL meanwhile TADC is plagued with absolutely cringe homosexualry and leechers trying to ride the wave

  13. 4 months ago

First comparing anything to TADC is stupid. We don't even know if it will be ever possible for any indie series to ever reach those numbers again, maybe they won the algorythm lottery. It's so much bigger than the other 2 big series Helluva Boss and Spooky Month no one even knew it was possible to reach those numbers

Second Joel G kinda killed the hype with his long ass hiatus while not even telling people if last episode was the ending, we don't even know if the current episode will be the last one. People want consitency, they want to know if they will have more.

I don't think bots are likely, they have way too many likes and comments and nor youtube nor any drama channel or company managed to find any evidence of bots, and most of all Elsagate is investing massively on parody videos of it, there is a reason why there are no elsagate videos about Johny Johny yes papa and other nursery songs, they know when the views are legit, they are experts on bots.

Upload a youtube video how MrB suck ass you get his bot army commenting on you. Also 300,000 $ per episode for something look like made in SFM. Nice projections, EUROs and Weebs are laughing.

We've been over this. Bright colors and primitive shapes got it in to the kids' algorithm and the kids took care of it from there.

ENA is too weird and has a nonsensical plot, if any. Also the development of the game has taken too long, so hype has died.

To be fair how do you even animate a let's say a 8 episode series if every single episode is about literally nothing, at some point just looking at weird backgrounds and goofy characters doing nothing would get unbearable.
