I'm not claiming that netflix is NOT enjoying better financials post crackdown, but it's important to remember that almost everyone is posting record profits now because of inflation.
netflix will never be profitable. ever. the billions spent will never be recouped. ever. yet everyone still invests in it and dump money into it. even the obamas, clintons, soros funnel money into it. its almost like propaganda has no price tag.
>yet everyone still invests in it and dump money into it
Doesn't that mean it's profitable and just that its target audience is investors and data thieves instead of individual consumers? I'm sick of this "___ has never made a profit" meme because it's always a blatant lie that corporate brainwashed morons parrot.
tax legislation pretty much everywhere means a company has the choice between paying ~20% to the state every year or funnelling that money into new plant, machinery or in netflixs case new shows that expand it's customer base. the system is designed to not be profitable but expansionary, although in practice it doesn't work.
Not that schizo (Netflix actually is profitable at the moment), but you'd be surprised how long investors can keep a company afloat despite making no profit. It's been a pattern started by tech companies in the early 2000's, where they willingly lose money to capture the entire market share, then start squeezing the blood out. They weren't consistently profitable until the 2010s, and even then it wasn't until the late 10s they finally started making big profits (over 1B per year).
Okay. I’d like to see the precise figures. Then i’d like to see how many additional leechers on average Netflix exclusive movies and shows have had on major torrent sites since the crackdown.
I wouldn’t know how to access those figures btw, because I deplore piracy in all its forms and love the law.
What service am I stealing? Netflix did not digitize the show, make the show, or create the files for the show that I'm downloading. I am not watching or downloading through Netflix's site or server. Your argument is that driving myself to work is stealing from Uber.
That would be far more believable if Netflix still had something to watch. I mean...
Stranger things is pretty much done and last season´s been in development hell for a while. Dark, arguably Netflix best show, dead. 1899 dead, Witcher super dead, Dragon Prince became meh after the time skip, Hilda is dead too, Daredevil and the like were taken by Disney, Altered Carbon total death, Dark Crystal was axed, Marco Polo? Axed, Godless? That´s dead too. The end of the fricking world? Also dead...
That kind of makes 3 body problem their one and only show right now. Honestly why would anyone be willing to pay double or even keep that service at this point?
Lol, out of those you mentioned, only ST and Witcher are even in their top ten. There are reasons they were axed. They didn't get the numbers. Other shit does, Bridgerton for one. And it does not even matter as long as subs don't start dropping. Who cares if they do only flavor of the month show and it gets axed right after. Remember Squid Game? Tiger King? Money Heist? Ozark? They will drown you in such shows and trash them immediately and without regret if they don't work.
A good show goes to shit? Ruined franchise? LOL here you have 10 new distractions for this week. Make use your subscription!
>development hell
They do this shit on purpose to string along morons who don't cancel their subscriptions. Did you really think 6 episodes of tv take 2 years? The bare minimum standard used to be 23 per year.
Fake news. It killed it here. Everyone uses illegal steaming sites now even thought hey nearly always have problems such as buffering icons every 10 minutes.
Das it mane. Lmao at journalists that have to report on israeliteflix being succesful and when they ask them for proof israeliteflix pr just goes "trust me bro"
may we see these numbers?
That's fricking antisemitic
Cool it with the conspiracy theories
w-well boycott [COMPANY] next time, I swear!
Yeah right
Correct.

It was for the people that use an old bf's account that they're no longer even in contact with, or like the old college roommate.

>yet everyone still invests in it and dump money into it

Isn't netflix the oldest streaming service?
If they never made profit wouldn't they be long gone?
>If they never made profit wouldn't they be long gone?
No. Stock dilution and debt keep them afloat.

Mate, they've been profitable for a year now. Very profitable actually. They are $1.3B in the green for Q1.
Okay. I’d like to see the precise figures. Then i’d like to see how many additional leechers on average Netflix exclusive movies and shows have had on major torrent sites since the crackdown.

Yeah normal people are pay-pigs, they will be abused to no end, just look at DLC's and that shit in gaming.
Personally I just torrent because I'm a good person and I steal from evil people.
>torrent
>stealing
You're just making a copy. If I make my own iPhone, am I stealing from Apple?
I'm not stealing a thing but a service
What service am I stealing? Netflix did not digitize the show, make the show, or create the files for the show that I'm downloading. I am not watching or downloading through Netflix's site or server. Your argument is that driving myself to work is stealing from Uber.
Isn’t netflix stealing from normalgays since all of this is free on torrent sites?
So if you take your own plate from the kitchen instead of getting a waiter to do it, are you stealing?
Who owns Netflix?
Still not watching, thanks.

You know The Gentlemen just released on Netflix right?
>Guy Ritchie
No, I didn't. And neither does anyone else.
>And neither does anyone else.
Literally one of the top searched IMDB shows, moron.
Literally never heard of it.

>we are making more money!
>uhh, well we lost more costumers and hiked the price but that correlates to us making more money today
Fricking inflation fetishes, man
they weren't customers if they weren't paying for the service you idiot. did you mean "audience share"?
Normie needs his fix, so it makes sense. But will he keep his subscription once the panic over missing out ebbs down?
Someone must have forgot to tell their investors.
Holy shit! down over 8 per. didn't I see this...what an opportunity lost to short sell.
Was there a crackdown though? All it did was ask for a code and I just set up my email to forward the code to the people I share my account with.
Theyve raised prices twice since the password sharing thing.
>lowering revenue expectations
>cease reporting subscriber metrics
>stock plunges 8% in one day
Yeah, sounds like everything is fine over at Netflix.
Das it mane. Lmao at journalists that have to report on israeliteflix being succesful and when they ask them for proof israeliteflix pr just goes "trust me bro"
>Profits soar
>Immediately invest them in six Hack Snyder flops
Tax write off.
