interviews were always my least favorite part of late night shows. i always would tune in for monologues and then watch something else when they called out the guest (except letterman, i'd watch his interviews semi-regularly). why would anyone want to watch conan but without the actual good parts of his show. he should have done the opposite and done a show that was just man on the street segments, that's where he excelled anyway
