I actually enjoyed the show, I've seen it twice. Eric and Vinny are insufferable, but I think that's the point. Drama, Turtle and Billy Walsh are based. It's refreshing to see guys objectifying women and saying words like gay in a TV show I guess.

I think Walsh was a bit of an exaggerated caricature, especially in S4. Their version of Harvey seemed pretty dead-on however.

The first 4-5 seasons are fun. Great mid 00s nostalgia. The series falls off a cliff after that though. Them trying to shill some tequila brand they had some stake in through the show was pretty grating.

It's an entertaining show geared for men, yet women seem to enjoy it as well. Lots of heart, insider secrets of the industry and filming process. Absolutely based and dudepilled. Highly recommend for anyone looking to find a new series for interested in movie sets, Hollywood or fraternity. Redpills you on the israelites - for instance how they higher super secret private investigators to dig up dirt and intimidate their rivals.
I used to like this show as a teenager, but now that I'm an adult, that shit is fricking lame. I mean, never 'working' again sounds cool, but the characters are fricking lame. It's an adolescent power fantasy, nothing more.

When hbo was primarily about showing movies, they needed shows to fill gaps in timeslots, so they slapped together some shitty half-hour shows that no one watched.
the friendship the guys had was endearing and when it started to crumble later in the seasons the show went downhill.
