Never finished season 2. Just had no reason to care but likely would have finished it and gave S3 a chance. Pretty obvious the show was going to fall apart without the mac miller wigger though. I think this is proof that Euphoria is what its critics always said it was -- degeneracy for the sake of degeneracy. It's NC-17 Degrassi. There's no deeper meaning to it. If there was then Sam Levinson would've outlined a cohesive storyline. But after season 2 he had no idea what to do with the show and its characters and now it may not even continue.
The original script revolved around Rue killing Nate and the show would be a what-happened-that-summer recollection of why she did it. You can still see elements of this overarching narrative in season 1, it almost feels like the story's going somewhere. But they obviously had no idea where to go without it.
