Sorry sweetie, the plot of the original Eva made sense and had a degree of internal logic to it. There's some that's unexplained and you're left to fill in the gaps but it's there. NGE+EoE can be enjoyed from multiple angles like the meta-narrative, the thought provoking characters, the freudian themes, or the kabbalah spiritualism. It's all there. Rebuild had almost nothing but the meta-narrative and that sucks butt compared to a complete package like NGE.
