Well not really, but she somehow was brought back to life to berate him for killing criminals while he kneeled in handcuffs, took all the funds he accumulated to fight bad guys and donated half to charity while keeping half for herself and left him. The icing on the cake was the bloodthirsty psycho Wolverine also joining in on chastising Frank for being a murderer.

Frank's wife claims she was going to divorce him for some reason, that's almost as bad as cucking him. And then he just anheros. What could even be the motivation to ruin a 40 or 50yo character so thoroughly? God I'm glad I stopped reading capeshit in the 2000s
Apparently it was because right wing hillbillies and policemen liked wearing the Punisher logo and that's a no-no for nu-Marvel. First they tried to change his symbol to a red devil skull instead, then they decided to just straight out emasculate and shelve him.

Based clip, OP. This movie is underrated. I suggest Dirty Laundry which is some fan-made thing with Thomas Jane as The Punisher.

Jane Punisher movies are made for kiddies garbage, the most accurate Punisher is War Zone with Ray Stevenson (rip)
