I agree, it was nice to have an X-men movie that didn't feel like it had to tone things down. I just wish they had cast someone bigger and more physically imposing as Apocalypse.
They don't remember shit. Any consequence of Apocalypse doing his autistic shit weren't shown in Dark Phoenix, therefore there weren't any lasting consequences. If it's not shown on screen it didn't fricking happen. The MCU did a terrible job of showing the long-term consequences of Thanos and his autism, but at least they actually tried.
I had the Apocolypse marvel card from back in the 90s. I memorized all them shits. Power levels, everything. I didn't know much of him, but after Doctor Doom, his quote was the most kino: >"I am as far beyond mutants, as they are beyond man. Look upon me and despair!"
I kinda plagiarized it up above.
Doctor Doom's quote: >"Pain? What is pain to Doom? It is like love. Like compassion. Only a thing for lesser men."
It's fricked up Doctor Doom and Apocalypse never teamed up.
X-Men has to be the most forgettable yet successful franchise slop of the last 20 years. Every movie is the exact same >villain: humans le fear and hate us >hero: yes but we must be le better >villain: no we must le kill them >fight >wow this is just like heckin racism irl
garbage
>Apocalypse's advantage is he is ancient and has seen thousands of years of human history, and augmented himself with technology over time >in this film, actually he was sealed away in ancient Egypt where he was born originally and only reemerges in this film with a quick wiki walk catchup, then dies at the end of the film after like a day of generic doomsday attempting
How fricking lame.
>put Oscar Isaac in a hilariously uncomfortable and restrictive costume that causes him to be unrecognizable, have trouble moving around in scenes, and require all his dialogue to be ADR'd anyway because of the noise of the fans in the outfit and the constant creaking and squeaking it all made, and worst of all, the end result looks like crap so all the effort is pointless >Josh Brolin wears a mocap suit, easiest thing to wear and move around in, gives a clear performance with the other actors, and the results of the long in gestation digital effects look excellent
Yeah, I'm all for practical when it can do something, and the limits of that should always be pursued first, but sometimes something just can't be done properly with practical effects, and that's when you need to go digital. Apoc done with CG could have been accurate to the comics look and convey Isaac's performance better to boot.
>Apocalypse...that was excruciating. I didn’t know when I said yes that that was what was going to be happening, that I was going to be encased in glue and latex, and then a 40 pound suit that I had to wear a cooling mechanism in at all times. I couldn’t really move my head ever. >I was like, ‘Oh I get to work with all of these actors I like so much!’ but I couldn’t even see them because I couldn’t move my head. I had to like sit on a specially designed saddle, because that’s the only thing I could really sit on, and I would be rolled into a cooling tank in between takes, so I just wouldn’t ever talk to anybody. I couldn’t really move, I was just kinda sitting and sweating inside the mask and the helmet. >And then I was also in high heels inside of a boot, so that was very difficult to move at all, and every time I moved it was like rubber and plastic squeaking, so everything I said had to be dubbed later as well. And then getting it off was the worst part, because they had to kinda scrape it off for hours and hours. So...that was X-Men: Apocalypse.
I read that he's like Syler(?) from Heroes, he just steals people's powers. But that's Super Skrull homosexualry. I never saw Apocalypse use Cyclopses or Storms powers.
poccy was my og fav villain from xmen. missed out on the appearances in comics except the one in xmen omega.. went back and bought some xfactor ones.. I still have the toy biz series 4 action figure ..he jobs so much in the media but as an action figure he always came out on top in my battles.
This one actually felt like an X-Men comic, so I liked it.
I agree, it was nice to have an X-men movie that didn't feel like it had to tone things down. I just wish they had cast someone bigger and more physically imposing as Apocalypse.
This. I hated the actor but this is probably my favorite """"X-Men""""" movie.
YOU CAN FIRE YOUR ARROWS FROM THE TOWER OF BABEL
BUT YOU CAN
NEVER
STRIKE
GOD!!!
He accomplished none of these goals. Cringe villain with zero consequences. He died like a b***h.
he literally had global consequences
people in the x-me nuniverse remember apocalypse day like it was 9/11 or 1/6

>Dark Phoenix
Fricking hell I totally forgot about that movie dont think I even ever watched it
>They don't remember shit. Any consequence of Apocalypse doing his autistic shit weren't shown in Dark Phoenix,
Phoenix was the consequence
Phoenix had sweet frick all to do with Apocalypse.
see
Which plays no role in the next film whatsoever. The Phoenix is just a space entity that possesses Jean.
What happened on the first of june?
I've never seen that but I've watched the RLM so many times I recognize these lines.
Kino
>I've watched the RLM so many times
Leave this board. You're not welcome here.
Why do 2018 newBlack person Pajeet capeshitters think that they are an authority Cinemaphile?
>RLM consooming midwit goes for lowest hanging fruit
Shocking. You have no authority because you look like pic rel.
Saar why bloody basterd not consoom capekino?
Zip it, reddit-literate midwit.
Bloody benchods I rape for based snyder blasphemy
>recycling the playbook of Star Wars prequel fans like it's supposed to work for every shitty film you claim is good
lol
This is the same playbook again. You brought up RLM, no one else.
>You brought up RLM, no one else.
see
>I've watched the RLM so many times
People that disagree with me all seem really dumb.
Go back newbie redditor

Don't care. You're done. Just like that. You've been conquered.
Actually insane how less bad Cinemaphile was
If you like how it was back then, you should really go check out that website r*ddit, it's totally your speed.
yes, I am. I haven't had pizza rolls in so long.
I wish they had gone with his Pharaoh design from the animated series than his cringe dark black metal look.
Some kind of variation of that would've been cool. Robo/Celestial armor looks good in 2D, but doesn't work so well in "real" world 3D.
too afraid to be canceled for appropriation at least Psylocke got her comic outfit more or less
>actually, Magneto became truly evil after his moronic daughter got herself and her mom killed
is this canon in the comics?
That was extra lame. Just introduce a random new family and kill them five minutes later.
And only to get him back to where he was, not completely send him over the edge like would've happened to a guy who lost his family twice.
This dude was cool.
He went out like a b***h
That scene was kino though.
That entire scene is trash.
>t. low-T midwit
mogged brutally by animated Apocalypse, the best version of the character to date, including the actual comics
He's also an assman.
Rogue breast size ranges from C to D
>A mutant!?
>I am as far beyond mutants as they are beyond you.

don't forget that Magneto is constantly doing that whole "I wanna kill humans real bad but fricking Charles won't let me"
2 changed it up with Stryker
My favorite part
>Magneto: muh holocaust
>Also Magneto: brb gonna commit global genocide
its probably the highest creativity to cash ratio of all franchises
no more super powers
This movie was forgotten like a day after release.
Your meth addict mom forgot you at the hospital
xmen is about israelites destroying goym?
I thought that was a picture of this guy for a seconf.
What a terrible film.
But enough about you, what about the movie?
I'm not a film. Your response makes no sense.
We're all films in one way or another.
>Apocalypse's advantage is he is ancient and has seen thousands of years of human history, and augmented himself with technology over time

good opening and then everything went to shit
why they made him a manlet instead of cgi like thanos? the tecnology was right there
>put Oscar Isaac in a hilariously uncomfortable and restrictive costume that causes him to be unrecognizable, have trouble moving around in scenes, and require all his dialogue to be ADR'd anyway because of the noise of the fans in the outfit and the constant creaking and squeaking it all made, and worst of all, the end result looks like crap so all the effort is pointless

The costume makes the movie more memorable. That's a fact.
Yeah, in a bad way, because he looks like Ivan Ooze instead of Apocalypse.
Nah, it's fine and will age fine.
>Apocalypse...that was excruciating. I didn’t know when I said yes that that was what was going to be happening, that I was going to be encased in glue and latex, and then a 40 pound suit that I had to wear a cooling mechanism in at all times. I couldn’t really move my head ever.

OP is a homosexual.
>"Look upon thee butthole... and despair!"
>no you can't do what Sabretooth did in X-Men to Storm!
>cast Jubilee definitively at last instead of just an extra
>barely feature her in the movie
Holy shit. Her hapa babies will be well fed.
What's Apocalypse's power again?
I read that he's like Syler(?) from Heroes, he just steals people's powers. But that's Super Skrull homosexualry. I never saw Apocalypse use Cyclopses or Storms powers.
In the movie I think he can take powers but he can also give powers like how he creates his 4 horsemen
So he's just All for One? Lame.
>Build Back Better!
why did they change the voice multiple times?
Either undecided or to fit the tone of the respective trailer.

This was kino as frick and hate that no one recognizes that.
Motherfricker sounded like Alice the Goon from Popeye
