And no I’m not exaggerating EVERY fight is ended with the league member on their back and shot in the head, HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WENT INTO THIS GAME, they had the ability to make ANYTHING they imagine come to life in the latest graphic engine and THATS how they kill EVERY SINGLE ONE!

It’s not a reboot, it ends with being told by Luther (who presumably baited braniac to earth in that universe) telling them “alright this game is a live service streaming game, so do it 12 more times” which is funny because braniac doesn’t HAVE a unique boss fight. He’s literally just the flashes fight with a few other powers thrown in.
The writing just seems to be done by AI honestly, no one sounds like a person in this game. They just sound like pastiches of popular tropes. I’m not even offended by the deaths, it’s just ALL of them just dying by being shot is pathetic, they have animators don’t they? Did NO ONE have fun or creative ideas to end these scenes?
To me it feels like it shares writers with Saints Row 2022. Very similar cringe writing and completely unsatisfying antagonist defeats.
I may actually check IMDB to make sure if there is some overlap between Volition and Rocksteady.

The whole "was Joel right to possibly doom humanity to save Ellie" thing was a smokescreen for the actual issue: that the Fireflies went full moron and reneged on their deal, took all of Joel's supplies, took Ellie without providing payment, then sent him off to presumably die in the wilderness. Even if Ellie didn't exist at all, Joel would have been in the absolute moral right to extract payment from them by force and the Fireflies deserved exactly the retribution they received for their abject stupidity in the face of what was an absolutely gargantuan undertaking on the part of a mere paid mercenary.

For me, I don't even care if Batman gets shot. I mean he got his back broken by Bane for God's sake. It's the fact that this was apparently the most beloved voice of that character's final role before his passing away. Imagine that, you put a lot into this role before you die, and the last thing released to your legacy ends with that character getting fricking shot by what seems to be the bad guys.

I know this is a bait thread, but Rocksteady obviously did not know Kevin Conroy was going to die before the game came out when they offered him the role, and they were never going to scrap their planned story and all of their design and animation work after he did.
