Why do the demons in these posession movies like the exorcist never do anything besides spit at and insult people, or make weird noises and seethe at priests/family members. It feels more like he is a heckler at a comedy club than an actual violent threat.
Cause unlike what these crazy nonconformist rebel Christians believe Demons aren't real but it's "based" on things we consider mental illness now. So while it would be cooler if they did some Anime Villain shit, the majority of exorcism fans want someone who is just upset and saying frick god in a creepy voice cause that's what real demons seemed like before it was just Bipolar kids who hate playing religion
Is the movie any good?
No
just got back from the kinoplex
this shit sucked ass
I got in for free with a membership and I still feel ripped off. one star.
what was the fricking point of the kid at the beginning in the family photo session
why was the demon there
When you first see the kids in the classroom for some reason they've got details about plot structure on the whiteboard. I don't know if that's just meta shit or if David Gordon Green thought he was being clever making a movie that subverts expectations. Like the kid in the photo shoot, the "protection" ritual which served no purpose why there were 2 kids possessed instead of just one none of it had any point.
What snacks did you get
met at restaurant before and got chicken nachos and some beers
small popcorn and water during the movie
overall spent about $60 on this mid movie night
No JigC popcorn bucket?
Didn’t think it was that bad actually. Also had 3 shots and a mushroom bar but didn’t hate it.
Why was that neighbor guy with the glasses always around? Who the frick was he?
Pointless fricking characters.
Holy fricking shit it was ridiculous. It's like a joke how many people are at the exorcism at the end
>2 possessed girls
>both of the white one's parents
>their priest
>the father of the black girl
>the former nun next door
>some random priest
>some voodoo woman
>the black father's fat friend from across the road!
And don't forget we have to keep cutting back to the blinded mother from the first film since we paid her a shit load of money for a cameo
the voodoo lady didnt even do anything
the main character is literally useless
I liked how white dad was made to look like an obvious jackass for denigrating the homeless, but then black dad goes to talk to a homeless guy who turns out to be a disgusting creep.
What the frick am I supposed to take away from this, movie?
Nothing it really was just a collection of random scenes strung together with no clear theme.
Halloween 2018 was only OK because it's just a shitty slasher franchise. I don't know why the frick they thought the Pineapple Express director could make another trilogy of follow ups to The Exorcist
They are all copies or the original book and movie. This was ‘70s. Seeing a little girl saying and doing disgusting shit was unheard of and horrifying. Today, people are such degenerates can see worse on tiktok.
Tbh senpai that’s crazy on god
Demons are weak and bound at the moment, they’ll be buffed during end times
Is all the stuff true. Black person lives. No actual priests or exorcism. Voodoo shit. Le catholic bad?
The bigger question is why priests don't film the process or anything when it's literal proof the Bible and its events are real? Like, you have this demon quoting scripture, being harmed by holy water, taking the Lord's name in vain, and literally dying from a guy talking about Christ to them yet they're like "No one will believe us, we have to keep this hidden".
I suspect that the Catholic church doesn't actually believe in exorcisms hence why they try to cancel them all the time in these movies.
Because they'd probably get charged for murder if something goes "wrong".
Yeah, but if it goes right they have proof. If it goes wrong just throw the tape away, if it goes right you now have proof this is a real thing, Christianity is objectively the truth, Christian teachings are the only way to get demons to be banished, and literally every priest in existence gets to go "I told you so" while basically everyone doesn't have to fear death anymore. It's nothing but wins.
Well, what do you think would happen IRL? People would say it's staged/faked/special effects.
Sure, until the cases started piling up and skeptics are allowed to be part of the ceremony. At some point it becomes fact and reality.
Those same skeptics would say it's just placebo effect because the supposedly possessed person is just mentally ill and that the priest is most likely just larping.
>skeptics are allowed to be part of the ceremony
you mean the exorcism? they can't, only the priests have the means necesary to be in presence and battle the demon, the average guy coud probaby get killed
The dad suddenly going from being a skeptic, to being a believer felt completely unearned.
Why did DGG say that the demon in this movie is NOT Pazuzu, but a different demon, when there's nothing in the movie that makes that apparent?
