It is absolutely hilarious how Didio let the book live in relative peace for like 14 issues and then just did fricking everything at once.
>giving Donna another existential crisis >making the Titans the JLs' b***hes >killing Roy >HICing Wally >making Donna one of BWL's b***hes >making Donna an alcoholic >forcing the book to tie into the JL's bullshit >all of the above forcing a random team member change >and then Ric forcing the leader of their team off the team
And speaking of Didio, Taylor's Titans book will officially be the first Titans book since Graduation Day (2003!) to not have his grubby fingerprints on it, as even though he left before Teen Titans Academy came out in full, he still was around for the creation of the idea and Future State TT (the thing Academy was supposed to be building towards) reeked of him.
Didio is a petty frick. It's consistently the same strategy he always uses to make himself relevant
-fricks up big time (Countdown to Final Crisis, Convergence&DCYou)
-has a someone else to clean up his mess (Blackest Night&Brightest Day and Rebirth)
-waits it out for a year and play good boi
-preps to smash everything again to make himself the king of the hill again (New 52, Bendis is Coming 5G)
Not to mention Garth literally falling to earth from the stratosphere and presumably either breaking every bone in his body or fricking dying and yet there was never any confirmation
That run started with so much potential but editorial fricked it in regards to Wally and Donna and Dick

Abnett's run was garbage from the start. I don't know what you are talking about. I don't think he wrote any of the characters well from the beginning though him having the League "ground" them.
>Raven and Beast Boy as the token power couple due to Taylor pushing Dick and Babs >Wally being written like shit as the only thing Taylor has read of Wally is probably that one panel from NTT that gets passed around comic twitter every month >Taylor continuing to suck off Dick >Taylor continuing to write social issues and doing it poorly
I am however extremely curious about how Taylor is going to write Dick and if he's going to use the batfamily fanon personality he's been writing in the Nightwing book. Dick has historically been written differently in team books than he has Batman books due to the team books following NTT and the supposed need for a Batman of the group.
It was said in another thread but an anon said something along the lines of >It's really sad when the best thing a franchise can hope for is a bland, forgettable run
Even though it's true
Yes because we have 15+ years of an editorial philosophy revolving around constant character, creative and writer churn. The same is true for Superman and Wonder Woman. TPTB just kept screwing shit up for the sake of it.
I hope it's good but because it's Taylor I have a feeling it will just be heavily fan servicy. The way he writes Dick wouldn't gel well on a team book. He needs to give him back he post crisis edge that he used to have. Again I really and I mean REALLY hope it's good. I want a decent Titans book more than anything but Taylor needs to stop relaying on nostalgia.
Yes but Taylor treats Babs' paralysis with disdain and wrote Risk like shit before killing him. He'll go three for three on disabled characters, maybe four for four if Jericho shows up.
Terra's still alive(brief cameo at the end of Dark Crisis). A cameo in Dark Crisis is probably for the best since it did no favors for anyone involved.
Not sure why Williamson didn't use her in Shadow War, since it dealt with the aftermath of her country's genocide and Geo Force played a role(he did nothing wrong)
Kory's suit feels like she's coordinating with Dick, he should put the discowing costume back on so they can color match better. That Cyborg is truly atrocious and probably his worst look since the original tin foil Black, even the live action versions look better. He looks like a bad cosplay of Marvel's Destroyer. Wally should have his silver lightning that shit was dope. Donna and Raven are fine I guess. Beast Boy is Cringer.
Unlike the abnett run , at least is going to have synergy with the Nightwing run and sadly, NW is selling well.
My answer is none and I'm scare with how bad he is going to write Starfire, Wally , BB and Dona
Irrelevant in a year
Lasting a year would be pretty good for them
Low
Who gay, who bi, who trans?
Starfire turns gay, cyborg bi, and I know certain animals can change sex so BB is already trans if you really strech the meaning.
Why are they called Teen Titan if they are all young adults?
They're called Titans dummy
They pretty much gave up on teen titans after the mediocre 2016 run, didnt they?

And no Berganza too since he was fricking up all the Titans books post-Wolfman.

My expectations are super low given nobody really cares about the Titans.
Literally a negress
She's never been hotter.
Calm down, Nicola Scott is drawing the book and she is drawn with Nicola's sameface in the cover/promo she put out

gay
Low stakes, minimal angst, and no characters getting killed off for shock value. Basically, what the franchise needs.

Found this on twitter and it seems pretty accurate to what will probably happen
Isn't Cyborg losing limbs a given for any run he's in?
Yes but Taylor treats Babs' paralysis with disdain and wrote Risk like shit before killing him. He'll go three for three on disabled characters, maybe four for four if Jericho shows up.
>We're a family
Tom's Nightwing is just nonstop WITH MY FRIENDS I CAN DO EVERYTHING
Emo raven
Cyborg losing
Is a titan stable
My prediction
Shock Value Death seems unlikely based on how Taylor writes Nightwing and Jon.
Traitor arc real or fake is also unlikely with this roster.
Jon and Jay showing up will probably happen.
>Nightwing ass jokes
Well it's drawn by Nicola Scott. How can we expect anything different?
Isn't this board forgetting something. Or is she dead.... again?

Judging by the Starfire, disappointment
ehhhh.
Theres alot of Taylor books I've liked in the past but I think his recent work has been pretty meh.
I think theres a chance though. I'm just also not that interested in this lineup of the titans anymore either.

So far what I've seen of Kory under Tom's pen, its not that bad. Hell I'd say she's doing pretty good because she's not Dick's onahole.
They'll get another animated show when Amazon buys WBD at a bargain rate.
They seem to old for Slade, so Im guessing he's not showing up.
Uhm excuse me the correct term is actually ephebophile 🙂
Nicola Scott being replaced by issue 5
Considering it’s written by Taylor I expect it to be filled with boring inconsistently bad stories peppered with postable bait panels for Twitter
Opinions on Nightwing?
His one claim to fame isn't even that much of a claim.
On average most characters in superhero comics are drawn with nice butts.
It's true
Unlike the abnett run , at least is going to have synergy with the Nightwing run and sadly, NW is selling well.

I'm always scared for Donna because it feels like she's constantly on the edge of everybody just throwing their hands up and wallpapering her forever
Imagine still reading DC comics in 2023
