The leaks said they travel back in time to the 1930s and 1930s Indy dies. That’s far too big a change for reshoots since they only travel back to the Siege of Syracuse in in 212 BC. For the leaked ending to be real, they would have had to change two thirds of the movie instead of just the ending.

Given the reshoots and comments by Ford and williams, no doubt there were multiple endings at one point. It doesn't even have to involve time travel and can just be Phoebe leaving Indiana behind and taking his place against current day Nazis in the present.

If Indy gets erased from history, and she travels to a time period before raiders of the lost ark, then she can absolutely foil the plans of each Indiana Jones villain in iconic moments from the franchise because Indiana Jones already did it all the first time without any time travel. Once she goes far back enough she never has to travel through time again if she can accept living in the past
I do think it's likely the movie originally ended with Indy dying but when Iger came back he saw what they were doing and freaked out, probably saying "I will not have another Last Jedi on my hands!" hence the bafflingly abrupt ending.

Elemental only has good legs relative to its opening because its opening weekend was awful. These third week numbers would normally be awful, its just that the terrible opening weekend lowered expectations.

I saw it but didn't think it was that bad. However, it's plagued by some of the shit that most modern movies have like not being able to understand what some characters are saying at times because the audio is fricked. Also, in some of the nighttime action scenes I felt like I couldn't see shit at all. I also don't think it was necessary to show an 80 year old man shirtless at the beginning of the movie.

The leaks said they travel back in time to the 1930s and 1930s Indy dies. That’s far too big a change for reshoots since they only travel back to the Siege of Syracuse in in 212 BC. For the leaked ending to be real, they would have had to change two thirds of the movie instead of just the ending.

Given the reshoots and comments by Ford and williams, no doubt there were multiple endings at one point. The original ending was Phoebe replacing Indiana which is why mangold got so upset, but it had to change once they realized the consequences of such an ending. It doesn't even have to involve time travel and can just be Phoebe leaving Indiana behind and taking his place against current day Nazis in the present.

If Indy gets erased from history, and she travels to a time period before raiders of the lost ark, then she can absolutely foil the plans of each Indiana Jones villain in iconic moments from the franchise because Indiana Jones already did it all the first time without any time travel. Once she goes far back enough she never has to travel through time again if she can accept living in the past
I do think it's likely the movie originally ended with Indy dying but when Iger came back he saw what they were doing and freaked out, probably saying "I will not have another Last Jedi on my hands!" hence the bafflingly abrupt ending.

People are speculating they needed many reshoots because the original ideas weren’t working out. Given KK’s track record (i think we are at 10 cancelled projects?) it kind of makes sense. Either they were making it in a way she didn’t like so she demanded they turn the ship around, or she was leading it in a crappy way and execs panicked and demanded they turn the ship around. Or both.
True, TFA and Rogue One had moderate reshoots while Solo and TROS were totally overhauled and rewritten, the latter probably numerous times.

Nothing explained, he just gets there on a shock treatment. Also, he want's Nazis to win the war, so he decides to kill Hitler. That's all there is to him. He's barely evil at all, at one point he asks Indy to join him; "since they are the last of their kind."

However, it's plagued by some of the shit that most modern movies have like not being able to understand what some characters are saying at times because the audio is fricked. Also, in some of the nighttime action scenes I felt like I couldn't see shit at all. I also don't think it was necessary to show an 80 year old man shirtless at the beginning of the movie.
