I always liked Pixar movies more as a kid. I think I just missed out on the Disney Renaissance period but on the other hand I got to experience the golden age of Pixar as it was happening which was cool. Oh, and I'm an adult so I don't need to go see a movie for little girls.
This and Indy flopping makes me legit happy. All of the other shit Disney has done doesn't matter to me. They can let it all be as subversive and "progressive" as they want as I checked out years ago, but Indy and TLM felt personal. Especially TLM.
Did Indy actually flop as badly as Cinemaphile expected early on? With the exception of its release week, I never see any threads about that movie at all here and that indifference and apathy usually indicates that a movie did not do nearly good enough to where the lefty trolls can post their smug pepe memes but also didn't flop bad enough to where the rest of Cinemaphile can be satisfied to mock its box office.

The breakeven is 625m because of the 250m budget. Mayyybe doing a lot of it domestic could ease up on the breakeven point but it's definetly a failure for disney. They don't make 250m movies to gain a little bit of change (if even that)

How do you figure? I thought that the formula was advertising budget is 1/2 production budget, so if the production budget is $250 million, the advertising is $125 million, so the total is $375 million. Meaning it's already more than "broken even" and has made $175 million in profits.

I was going to in theaters, but then it occurred to me that I wasn't exactly a massive fan of the original movie, and that the only thing I'd be watching it for would be Ursula, as she's possibly my favorite Disney villain and "Poor Unfortunate Souls" is definitely my favorite Disney villain song. But that wasn't enough of a reason on its own.
Is it on Disney+ yet? If so then the reason why I still haven't seen it is laziness. Might get around to it at some point.
