Kyle Carrozza, yeah. I'll give him some credit for being what essentially amounts to a nonstop fountain of ideas, but the problem amounts to that a great deal of his ideas are either god fricking awful or directly ripping off a pre-existing property. Even the show he finally managed to get greenlit has main characters who are just lowkey references to Lina Inverse and Gourry Gabriev from Slayers.
Fathead from Oh Yeah! Cartoons
Trick Moon
That one pilot that was on the What a Cartoon Show that was some spaceship pilot trying to get spare parts for his ship or something and had to deal with these guys with big elongated foreheads, i can't remember wtf it was called.
That's all i can remember that i wish would've been greenlit.
Judging by the "Bluey" homosexuals, 101 Dalmations gays and all the other doggay spam on Cinemaphile, to say nothing of the horrorshow that is Cinemaphile, canids seem to attract the absolute lowest common denominator of actual genuine zoophile.
>the style didn't age well and felt dated
It looks better than 99% of animated shows being released today. It definitely has a Y2K feel to it but people would've eaten that shit up, I've seen a revival of early 2000's aesthetics that's been going on the past few years.

I think that more stems from dogs being the most common archetype for animal characters, plus none of those fanbases come close to rivaling Horsehomosexuals in their heyday
It helps that the animation and design in 3 Dog Band is really well thought out. Fricking love the exaggerated comic sound effects. I recall reading somewhere that each dog was designed to be indicative of a different era and genre of music. Could just be blowing smoke up the short's ass with that one though, I'll be the first to admit that Sly and Loubie fit into that way better than Rux does.
what the actual frick are you on about? id argue even the least liked cartoons from that era are infinitely more rewatchable than any of the shit we have nowadays. frick Im old enough to remember when people would complain about imported canadian programming being of a lesser quality than american offerings. nowadays Id choose any of those canadian cartoons hand over fist than watch a series to have come out in the last 8 years. on all levels your generic late 1990s or 2000's cartoon is leagues better than modern shit on the merits of not being a soapbox and having an aesthetic quality greater than a two year old.
its certainly one of my favorites. the art style and music alone demanded the greenlight in my opinion. other favorites of mine are quickly derided for whatever reason. i was genuinely taken by modifyers and the zone parody saddens me greatly. like mlaatr it seems like most people just like it for the porn.
Always wished AJ infinite summer became a full show. Would’ve been nice for a regular show but instead of stoner loosers. It would be about adhd zoomers.
Yeah, Rob Renzetti confirmed it on Twitter. The pilot is fairly innocent but the execs did not feel comfortable with a little girl hanging out with a grown man.
>the culture has changed way too much.
lol, lmao
Being a nerd went from "knowing everything about your favorite media" to "hating everything about your ex-favorite media."
I agree. At the very least someone would want it heavily sanitized. Also, pop culture makes way too money to shit on it and the people that enjoy it too much, probably limit it to light ribbing at the most with a lot of off limits stuff like woke shit or trying to get more women into comics.
Had the series got the green light, what do you think would've happened to Zesty? Would he go back to normal, stay the hot female alien girl, or would the pilot be non canon?
the pilot would have likely been noncanon. frankly I would have preferred zesty as a hot alien girl. the good looks would have balanced out his insufferable personality and voice. Also kudos anon, King Crab is an excellent pick. Im pretty fond of the He-Hog pilot personally. Everyone is all too aware of John K's infamy by now but alot of his later show pitches were really good. I ate up Ripping Friends aswell.
>Constant Payne >all of Lauren Faust's unmade series >all of Rob Renzetti's unmade series >Maximum Horsepower >Youngblood TAS >Captain America TAS >Wonder Woman TAS >Micronauts TAS
its painful how wrong you are
I'm kind of sorry that this never got made into a series. Maybe it would've been bad, but the pilot had this very Zelda-like setting and story progress. It got me into looking at all the different Amethyst storylines, at least.
honestly we could float this entire thread on everything in the running for a full series on DC nation. Plastic Man, thr DJW TTG, Creature Commandos, and Doom Patrol being my personal favorites.
Blackford Manor, not sure if counts as a pilot since it's by an animation channel but I'm a sucker for spooky cartoons and the mc is prime waifu potential. It was made by Jiwook Kim, who is Patrick McHale's wife, the guy who made OTGW. At least it got a novel out of it that I heard was good.
Isn't this the dude known for pitching ideas every other day of the week? Most of which are boring and samey?
he is our generation's Hanna-Barbera
>he is our generation's Hanna-Barbera
No the frick he ain't
99% of Hanna Barbera shows are exactly like his. Because I've never seen them
dumb avatargay
you do not have 110 "bruh" reaction images

Yeh, he doesn’t really have the best ideas but at least he can draw hot knight girls like vambre
I liked the Plastic Man and Amethyst ones
Frick Kyle and what he did to Ang
I guess that explains why he and Katara didn't have more kids. He was never going to pass, transitioning that late in life.
who?
QRD?
Birchy suddenly defends pedophiles because he wants to frick her shitty drawn avatar
Nobody Cares, Anon.
oh
and i thought birchy will spreg over the bird girl from moobeard -_-

Danny Antonucci's SnotRocket would've been fun, but the last decade of TV animation hasn't been kind to his type of cartoon,

I don't think it is any funny, but the animation style is quite interesting
He should've gotten a nokia.
Second episode draft had him being a major douche to the monkey guy for no reason, and just getting away with it. Kinda turned me off.
If this show got released today it would have a disgustingly rabid (and obnoxious) fan-base
>dog furries
Yeah this would have been the worst
I wasn't aware dog furries were particularly a nuisance compared to other furries
Judging by the "Bluey" homosexuals, 101 Dalmations gays and all the other doggay spam on Cinemaphile, to say nothing of the horrorshow that is Cinemaphile, canids seem to attract the absolute lowest common denominator of actual genuine zoophile.
Do you ever feel that some things have just too much style to the point it becomes annoying?
Yes, and this one is kind of teetering on the edge of that.
I unironically love this shit. Would've been a nightmare to keep as an active show though.
It could have worked quite well as a segment of a main program.
Like Pith Possum from Shnookums and Meat
THAT, I could absolutely see. Short in betweens or something, focusing the segments around songs or something.
I don't know what
is talking about, this seems like just the right amount of style.
>posts a double
>in worse quality
The thread isn't even remotely long yet anon, c'mon.
Reminds me of that whiny troony's comics.
>that whiny troony's comics
I vaguely remember hearing some rumor that Kitty Bobo makes a cameo in this but for the life of me I am not seeing it
I can honestly see this show airing on Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, circa 2001.
It probably would've been forgotten like the rest since the style didn't age well and felt dated.

Bottom's Butte, either the CN one or the Adult Swim version.
Oh god no, I remember the story boards.
>”pedophilic undertones”
Is that the reason it didn't get picked up?
Yeah, Rob Renzetti confirmed it on Twitter. The pilot is fairly innocent but the execs did not feel comfortable with a little girl hanging out with a grown man.
That's a shame, I really enjoyed those shorts.
i dont think this could be made today. the culture has changed way too much.
What is this? And I'm interested on how the culture changed, though I have an idea on that.
Welcome to Eltingville.
the pilot was released in 2002.
Even the pilot is pretty tame in comparison to the comic.
>the culture has changed way too much.
lol, lmao
Being a nerd went from "knowing everything about your favorite media" to "hating everything about your ex-favorite media."
I found the pilot pretty unpleasant tbh, not too shocked it didn’t go anywhere.
I agree. At the very least someone would want it heavily sanitized. Also, pop culture makes way too money to shit on it and the people that enjoy it too much, probably limit it to light ribbing at the most with a lot of off limits stuff like woke shit or trying to get more women into comics.
atleast we had venture bros in its abscence

WE'RE GONNA ZAP YOUR BODY SO YOU CAN ROCK THIS PARTY
Had the series got the green light, what do you think would've happened to Zesty? Would he go back to normal, stay the hot female alien girl, or would the pilot be non canon?
>Would he go back to normal
Probably. That's how these shows typically worked.
Higher quality…
animation is the only medium which can make pajeet women genuinely attractive
the pilot would have likely been noncanon. frankly I would have preferred zesty as a hot alien girl. the good looks would have balanced out his insufferable personality and voice. Anyone remember the name of the pilot that featured a bat and I believe a pink dragon.
The only good shows that failed to get picked up after pilots:
- Korgoth of Barbaria
- Periwinkle Around the World
- Danger Planet
Everything else is too old and wouldn't stand the test of time, or is just plain terrible. It goes to show that most ideas are not great.
How is Modifyers terrible?
>Constant Payne
>all of Lauren Faust's unmade series

I hate her.
Arthur Filloy’s Dundherheads would’ve been a good middle segment to LUcky Lydia if either show had been greenlit.
http://arthurfilloy.blogspot.com/2008/08/dunderheads_23.html
Wasn't this guy from Cinemaphile or Cinemaphile?
Always liked the gator and their dynamic as a kid.
Do shorts marketed as anthology one-offs really count?
Back to Backspace.
I wanted to find out the mystery behind the girl ending up in a virtual world.
Would have been interesting
It's basically just Chalkzone, innit?

I know it became a show as Problem Solverz but it feels nothing like the pilot.
It seems like a common sentiment to hate this shows artstyle, but it looks straight out of a 14 year old's geocities site and I love it
>PFFR produced this
no wonder the pilot had soul that the final product just couldn't replicate
