As a trans woman I really liked Amazon's Fallout
Did nobody do research how an explosion looks like?
How did nobody notice the flash?

Those aren’t nukes from the sixties, those are more advanced nukes from the 2070’s.
Might as well complain about how the robots fly around with mini jets somehow without burning things
>always loved the games
>hear about the new show
>realize it's going to be shit
>renewed interest in playing 3, 4, and NV again
>still not gonna watch it
Any other anons?
Yup, watched one episode, dropped it and reinstalled New Vegas.
I never liked Fallout to begin with
Will never watch it
morons are using this as evidence for the show being good.
>number of fallout players on steam goes up
>they must all be watching the dogshit show
Yes, the vast majority of the new players have watched the show. You have to be in turbo denial to not admit this.
>guys I'm part of a club now pretending to hate things damn I'm so popular now
>p.s does anyone sometimes forget to dilate lol oops hehe I'm such a woman
/pol/troony cope
(You) were already beaten to the punch and exposed as a troony. Your reply is to now call us trannies? Dilate pal.

>you don't like [thing] that is popular with trannies
>you must be a troony!
huh
Nah it's more you echo whatever anons say without having watched any of it. Kinda like brain-dead libs who do the same thing
lol you are all troonys like pic related
Based. Expose those Fallout troony shills. Let them seeth and dilate.
Stop replying to yourself lmao
The games have been dead since Fallout 4. Very few dedicated modders as well since that's what kept it alive in the past 10 years. Anyone who has played the games and dislikes or refuses to watch the Amazon slop is guaranteed to be genuine.
76 isn't dead lol
Everyone's jumped back into shitty 4 because of a 'next gen" update.
>my paypig model of a single player RPG isn't dead!
grim
Who are you quoting?
>I PLAY RESPECTFUL INDIE GAMES ON STEAM I AM A TRUE GAMER HEAR ME ROAR EPIC 1UP YAHOOO
>The games have been dead since Fallout 4
FO4 got an average of 20k daily players on Steam before the show, stop lying.
Was close to this, Brain worms and "friends" pushed me over the edge...
>always loved the games
[...]
>renewed interest in playing 3, 4, and NV again
The worst part about this "muh fallout" are that homosexuals like you only drool about fallout 3+ games, yes even new vegas sucked shit compared to fallout 1 and 2. I like the show, and not once I had hoped it would come anywhere near the tone, intelligent writing, characters, ideas, lore, concepts and humor of the first two games. I do not care if they faithfully adopted the newer games or not because they are fricking open world goyslop trash anyways. I want my fallout 1+2 kino, feels fricking bad man
Nobody under the age of 40 has ever played 1 & 2 and if you claim you have you're blatantly lying you homosexual redditor.
All of Fallout is shit
Was pozzed from the start
Nobody cares you mentally ill Black person. You'd start seeing trannies if you watched paint dry long enough.
Even the oldest millennials here never played it when it was originally released.
You are the mentally ill Black person troony
All of Fallout is shit you homosexual redditor.
37 here, I played the games. Never finished them. The fighting is shit and there's so much dialogue you might as well read a book. Console all the way baby!
>(you)

Cinemaphile is a wizard/boomer website now, piss off broccoli head
>damage controlling bethesda drones
That's an exaggeration. I'm 29 and I played the first one as a kid.
my broccoli hair lil guy never held a cd player in his entire miserable life
1 and 2 are literally unplayable unless you have diagnosed unironic autism
>that part in Fallout 1 where you have to diddle the rope item in a specific way with the hole in the ground to access the place where you need to go
1 and 2 are literally playable unless you are mentally hadicapped.
Nice exaggeration. Go play Fortnite.
you have to be 18 to post here
I’ll take my 1st person, thanks.
Didn’t watch the show and didn’t replay the games. I am fully demoralised.
I recently fapped to a fallout porn parody game
does that count?
loved the games
Don't worry, you'll like the show. It's probably less shitty than the games.
Or you're just a very stupid contrarian.
don't watch it
The show is just as bad as the games
Or you might be a based contrarian
Is this the new cope about everyone playing the games again due to the show?
>renewed interest in playing 3, 4, and NV again
Fricking zoomers. At least play the good games.
>tfw tried playing 3 again for the first time since like 2010
>mods are 100% required to play on modern system
>hardly any mods in general
>New Vegas has a mod for damn near anything you want on the other hand
I honestly expected Nexus F3 page to be on par with NV.
you have to achieve cult or coomer status to attract the freaks that make mods
try ttw. the script extender for 3 is shit and stopped updating, that's why nobody makes mod for it.
Nexus is filled with cuck and troony mods
>removing smut mods
>changing tos
https://www.gamewatcher.com/news/nexus-mods-policy-change-delete-mod-files
I don't use porn mods of any kind so this doesn't affect me. You can still get your rape mods elsewhere.
It made me play new vegas again, but i also actually liked the show
>Being a normie who knows nothing about Fallout, the show must be super confusing for them.
this would be a good thing, that the product is tailored for the enthusiast
Good, we don't want them in our secret club.
>the show must be super confusing for them
oh yeah anon thats why its so popular and the fallout games numbers are sky rocketing, because everyone is so confused!!!
Imagine being so moronic you can't even grasp "post apocolyptic world with some people living underground" within the first 10 minutes. Are you black or mexican?
>The Enclave STILL exist
How many times are they going to beat this horse?
He is all I see
>*Sigh* Somehow The Enclave returned
The Enclave and the Brotherhood of Steel are in this weird position, where storywise both should have been eradicated by now. But because they’re such iconic and badass parts of fallout, they always get brought back regardless of logic
As I recall
>Enclave is basically destroyed in fallout 2
>brotherhood of steel was never a sustainable organisation once actual major forces like the NCR, Caesars legion etc rose up. Having power armor and plasma guns is a major advantage but you will still get overrun by a hundred men with normal guns and decent training
>brotherhood of steel is shown declining in fallout 2, new vegas has them as a small remnant hiding in bunkers. Not even a real faction just an annoyance after the NCR fricked them up
The Enclave at least I guess you can always pull some mcguffin bullshit by saying they had secret vaults and cryogenically frozen people or even clones to rebuild. But the brotherhood generally has to adapt or die, and if it adapts it might as well not even be called the brotherhood of steel
The brotherhood in fallout 3 for example was a major divergence. In recruiting outsiders, in changing their mission from collecting tech and hoarding it away from others, to trying to protect the commonwealth and make drinkable water accessible etc
In fallout 4 they are now a weird mix of old and new brotherhood. Elder Arthur Masson is a pretty cool character I’d enjoy seeing in the show next season. They recruit outsiders, proactively seek out threats to humanity like the institute, while also sticking rigidly to this sense of order and duty over technology and being anti ghoul/supermutant/synth
The brotherhood of the show seems like the one of fallout 4. They recruited Maximus even though he was a random outsider kid. (Did they rename him maximus? Hardly seems like a normal wastelander name). Their order is more concerned with keeping advanced tech to themselves to impose order and prevent other groups causing problems.
My guess is Maximus will rise in the ranks and the brotherhood will be a major aid in fighting the enclave/vault etc once again.
I am a little confused over their giant airship thing. It looks just like the Prydwen from fallout 4, but they don’t seek to call it that. Also I’d assume the head of the brotherhood would be with it. But we don’t get to see him
Unless that old guy was the head and I missed it. But I assumed he was basically the regional leader of that specific chapter
It is the Prydwen... it's written on the side.
Ah, missed it. Assumed someone would have called it that out loud. Must be a big deal when it shows up
They'll probably introduce Maximus to Arthur Maxson next season. It will be maximum max.
Likewise with the Enclave, they are supposed to represent the worst aspects of the US government as they are the literal remnants of the US military and heads of government who hid in bunkers and various areas like the oil rig in fallout 2.
They or focus is entirely on remaking the world in the image of old America. A fundamentally moronic idea given how it ended but that’s why they’re the bad guys. Even though both the brotherhood and enclave hate ghouls and whatnot. The brotherhood is more just and noble, the enclave are scumbags.
They seem to be merging the enclave and vault etc even more in this show, which makes some sense storywise. The enclave always had the info about vault locations for a reason, and since they only accepted completely unmutated humans, recruiting from vaults was their main option
Plus vault Tec was heavily ingrained in the US a government which the enclave is the descendant of. The government funded most of those faults as I recall
>My guess is Maximus will rise in the ranks and the brotherhood will be a major aid in fighting the enclave/vault etc once again.
Maximus clearly didn't want anything to do wit Brotherhood of Steel at the end of season though. Dane assumed that he killed Moldaver who was shot off-screen (as deserving of character of her complexity) and declared him a knight and it was anything but a happy ending for him since he already settled his simple mind on going back to Vault 33 with Lucy and abandoning his life's goal for Lucy to make his wiener explode. So, what I actually think will happen is that his BoS's chapter's elder Quintus will try to Palpatine him and maybe have plan to power 1000 of his Liberty Primes he built on planet Exegol with cold fusion to do some stupid shit which will be a cause for Brotherhood of Steel civil war between Quintus who thinks Brotherhood of Steel should rule the galaxy and normal Brotherhood of Steel who just want to preserve cold fusion from the wasteland itself.
All while Maximus will be just trying to leave but continue to fail upwards as it's his only consistent character trait.
Lucy seems to be the lawful good character
Ghoul the murder hobo
Maximus the neutral one
I think the idea was to try and represent the basic paths players pick via the different main characters.
Maximus remaining in the brotherhood makes more sense to me. Especially as the brotherhood is going to wage war against the enclave/vault tec. And they’re the ones who nuked Shady Sands and killed his whole family.
I don’t think Maximus will be some zealot for the brotherhood and believe all their dogma but he will stick with them because they’re the better option in his view.
Likewise, we already saw both
>knight titus somehow rose to rank of knight with power armor and was a complete tool who didn’t care about the mission at all
>Maximus is morally conflicted and does both good and bad things. Mainly letting his knight die out of spite, trying to murder the squire for trying to report back to base etc. he is not morally focused
>the head of the brotherhood actively acknowledging the brotherhood has decayed and wanting to rebuild things with people like Maximus as the new leaders seems like a tempting pitch to Maximus imo
Also why I want to see Elder Maxson in the show. Be interesting to see his beliefs and personality in contrast to others like Maximus.
The morons who wrote the script didn’t think about any of this and you know it.
>My guess is Maximus will rise in the ranks
It's like you have the superpower of watching the last episode!
is basically destroyed in fallout 2
Wasted jackpot.
The Enclave is shown IN FALLOUT 2 as having dozens of bases worldwide. Not across America, WORLDWIDE.
The surest way to know someone never played Fallout 2.
They b***h about 'still using the Enclave' or 'the Enclave were destroyed, how are they still around'?
Only people who never played Fallout 2 ask this. Anyone who did has seen the map.
How are they in Russia? I thought they were remnants of prewar us military/government and used their old bases and bunkers mostly
Russia was still communist in fallout
IDK, how did the US have Gitmo in Cuba during the Cold War?
Mothership Zeta confirms they're more like the Illuminati than some US project. Ironically, the only reason the are so American and the remnants of the American government is purely because they had so heavily infiltrated the US government. It would be nice to explain more about the Enclave's origins since it is, apparently, an old pre-war organization and only the branches seen so far are the remnants of the US government.
It's not as if there is no way to reconcil this. Go the 'muh freemasons' angle and it works.
I don’t think it makes sense to compare gitmo. A coastal base on a small island nation just next to America. To a base that’s supposed to be in the middle of Russia. A major military and nuclear power.
If the Cubans could get the Americans out of gitmo they would. The Russians absolutely could wipe some attempt to build an American military base in the middle of Russia off the map
So they are just dual citizenship israelis then?
Endlessly. After the oil rig exploded, the Enclave scattered to the winds; they probably burrowed into NCR institutions like Communists in Hollywood
if I see another thread about this show that uses this fricking poster again I'm gonna do something really bad
My mom liked it and her only, only complain was they showed the dog training and being there like it was going to do something important and just didn't
>Being a normie who knows nothing about Fallout, the show must be super confusing for them.
They're probably very confused but literally turn their brain off and don't think about it and let the action and pretty colors entertain them. I've met multiple people who a) didn't know radiation was real and b) didn't understand the concept of retro-futurism and in both cases they loved and adored Fallout 3 and 4. As a teenager I thought most people were thoughtless morons who go along with popular things, as a young adult I thought people were more nuanced, and as an adult I understand most people are thoughtless morons who go along with popular things.
I've noticed that a lot of people out themselves as moronic by the media they watch. Not because what they watch is stupid or anything like that, but because it demonstrates their ignorance and lack of critical thinking or imagination. While watching movies and stuff I have similarly heard people who could not parse the idea humans living on other planets, who don't understand how politics work, who don't understand the concept of a world that is not the present here and now, things like that. Very concerning.
why is thaddeus not in that pic? thaddeus is so sexy hot.
Can we all just take a moment to acknowledge that the first victims of nuclear war were all those poor walkable cities that Vault Tec nuked in the beginning?
I've never played fallout game and there was nothing confusing about the show.
So you didn't find the plot completely nonsensical?
>big evil corporation nukes the world for profit
Is just plain stupid, not nonsensical
No, then again: my IQ has been set at 168. So a lot of stuff comes easy to me.
Why did he kill his colleagues after finishing cold fusion? Shouldn't he have been high fiving them instead?
The Enclave is shown to kill weakling puppies; as soon as he finishes his work he's no longer useful and destined for a furnace also. It's not laid out clearly but I can only guess that's what the writers were going for.
Wouldn't finishing cold fusion reactor make you super useful though?
>as soon as he finishes his work he's no longer useful and destined for a furnace also.
I have a song recommendation for these feelings
>Why did he kill his colleagues after finishing cold fusion?
its still very unclear to me what exactly happened
Apparently Wilzig worked on cold fusion in secret fron Enclave and no one ever questioned if it was suspicious that Wilzig had a device to make it happen for years until at the wrong time and place someone spotted him fininshing cold fusion mcguffin and getting angry that he built the device he's been building for years that he never even hid unlike his dog.
I think he fled because his illegal dog killed his coworker
>I think he fled because his illegal dog killed his coworker
but why did it escalate? I don't see why him having that dog there warrants pulling the literal alarm
The dog killed coworker because she thought Wilzig was in danger and his scientist bro either had tough case of resting b***h face or he was German when he was announcing how happy he was Wilzig finally finished his project he never even attempted to hide.
He probably saw them as inhumane subhumans obsessed with progress at any cost. He got the job done but hoped he could deliver the technology to more humble groups in the wasteland.
>He probably saw them as inhumane subhumans obsessed with progress at any cost.
What? That's literally Moldaver though, the one person Wilzig thought should get her hands on his mcguffin, she literally b***hed about how Vault-Tec (and maybe to some extent Enclave) kept shelving her cold fusion project to keep Resource War going. So, if Wilzig had any relationship with Moldaver, he would think she's subhuman if that was the case and if he didn't he wouldnt' have worked on Cold Fusion regardless in agreement with Vault-Tec scientists and overall people who decided cold fusion isn't a priority when scarcity is more profitable (I know that sounds moronic, but that is the point Moldaver made to Goggins in the church)
Because it’s written by crazy leftists who think they can write stories about crazy right wingers. This is literally just a normal Tuesday in the Soviet Union if think about it
amogus
>Nooo, the show merely suggests that Vault-Tec could've dropped the nukes, it doesn't mean that they in fact did!
>Also, Moldaver, in the same show: "That's how Vault-Tec deals with competition, just like they did 200 years ago"
why would the black woman's daughter be out and about when the nukes dropped if they were the ones who did it
and even if you were willing to sacrifice family, the employees were not given heads up and many died and their posts were left unmanned
My guess is that because in mere months between first flashback (of Coop getting nuked) and discovering that Barb suggested the nuking at the end of the season 1, because they were divorced Barb didn't manage to include her family or even daughter into the list of people for the good Vault or Vault-Tec didn't deem them to be a priority, so they did emergency nuking of the world preserving only their employees which Barb wasn't in charge of and couldn't do anything about.
Even then Cooper weirdly suggests that Hank should know where his b***h wife and irradiated daughter are, even though he himself became a ghoul. Who knows at this point.
>so they did emergency nuking of the world preserving only their employees
in the games its shown that nearly none of the people who were intended to be in vaults as part of their jobs made it
>in the games
yeah, contingency plans go unfulfilled, large installations remain unmanned, rusting, waiting for someone to show up to do their job
I don't see how some games are related to this TV show though.
ok so you're the person with nothing to say
I mean, like, genuinely, this TV show is ridiculously inconsistent with the games, there's no reason to believe it wouldn't overrule games on a whim or that it doesn't understand it's directly contradicting them.
For example, none of the people who were intended to be in vaults as part of their jobs made it, but you see Bud's Buds, Hank is a Vault-Tec employee who clearly is part of the vault as part of his job. It's not that I don't have anything to say, this show is just that far removed from the games that using games lore or logic should be just accepted a moot point entirely divorced from the show. It's like just saying that Master Chief doesn't remove his helmet in the games so he doesn't in the TV show and ignore what the show actually is.
>Hank is a Vault-Tec employee who clearly is part of the vault as part of his job.
and you can tell the plan has failed
What plan? What? No, I am saying that since Hank, a Vault-Tec employee has clearly been preserved in a Vault as a Vault-Tec employee, presumably still working for the Vault-Tec for Bud's brain on a roomba, the notion that Vault-Tec employees weren't preserved on merit of being Vault-Tec employees is directly refuted by the show. This show is so incapable of imagining Fallout universe moving forward that it filled it to the brim with 200+ years old people.
>What plan?
the very thing they talk about on the TV show, did you even watch it?
I just don't see what you are trying to dig at it, I am just saying that Barb's daughter getting nuked is not proof that any plans failed or succeeded and Barb's daughter got nuked because Cooper divorced her.
Let me walk you through again why you shouldn't take Barb's daughter as a proof of anything.
>Scenario A: Vault-Tec nuked the world, of which Barb wasn't aware of and maybe even was kidnapped. Vault-Tec took only their essential personnel and legally speaking Cooper and his daughter no longer had any affiliation with her after the divorce (probably Cooper retained custody of the child considering she was working with him in the first flashback).
>Scenario B: China nuked America, Vault-Tec haphazardly responds and takes whoever it can grab, which is proven to plausible because Hank and Bud's Buds are present in the show regardless of if Scenario A or Scenario B are true as the Bud's Buds are a concrete element of the show that is chiseled in its story, they will be present in Season 1 whether it confirms that Vault-Tec nuked the world or America was nuked by China, making it plausible that Barb just got the same treatment and since she was divorced from Coop his family was left behind by the Vault-Tec possibly without her knowing, again.
you're the one bringing the girl up, I am talking about the state of Vault-Tec's operations and nothing else
And I am saying the show already has definitive proof that Vault-Tec employees survive whether they nuke the world or they got nuked with the world. So appealing to the games goes out of window. You are just arguing for the sake of it at this point.
in the show their position is helpless, the contingency plans have failed
>in the show their position is helpless
>also they nuked Shady Sands
yes, the triple silo vault complex are very weak faction, having nukes doesn't make you strong in fallout universe, my character can order ballistic nuclear missile attacks at will as well
We don't exactly know how Shady Sands ended up nuked. BoS seems to have been involved since they were right there.
You are reading too much into it.
Moldaver literally confirms it. She literally said it's the same thing they did 200 years ago, the show couldn't be even more obvious about it.
>literally literally literally
Use your brain, moron. Hank may have been involved, but obviously he didn't do it all by himself. The Brotherhood at the very least was involved, and probably House too since that's where Hank decided to escape to.
>Hank may have been involved, but obviously he didn't do it all by himself.
Which changes what, actually, I am tired, tell me what this point you think is going to help you accomplish, which isn't even a point I've ever made, I specifically said
>also THEY nuked Shady Sands
>She literally said it's the same thing THEY did 200 years ago
What are these non-existing straws you are hoping to grasp here, what do you not understand, the show clearly hammers in home that Vault-Tec is very much alive and they nuked Shady Sands. How, why? We don't fricking know because of the way the show is written. What do you not understand, where do we disagree and have you even seen the show?
>The Brotherhood at the very least was involved
You realize that Brotherhood of Steel had no reason to be in that territory even by that time because NCR completely pushed them away from their territory during NCR/BoS war. That is, if you take the game into account, which was my original point, that you can and should throw the games out of window and this point that you are trying to make makes your stance even worse, because your original point was that no Vault-Tec employees weren't secured in the games, which show contradicts directly.
What are you hoping to accomplish here, you are wrong if you take the show at face value and you are wrong if you apply logic of the games to the show.
>the show clearly hammers in home that Vault-Tec is very much alive
it doesn't, they're still the weakest faction in play, they have mere dozens of personnel
Calm down troony. My point was articulated very clearly the first time around, and I am not repeating myself.
Moldaver is so fricking moronic she lost custody of her kid to her washed up hick husband. Her opinions are pretty dumb
the raider/claimed NCR successor leader says Hank did the bombing
Huh?
Her father admitted to doing it though
Yes but why did he do it brainlet?
Was it a personal chimpout at his wife, or was he ordered by some higher ups and begrudgingly did it?
There's obviously some unanswered questions anon
>why did he do it
>let’s start our own government with its own economy
Gee, I wonder why
Jews.
He did it because he was mad that his wife left him for Moldaver
What happens to Coop and his daughter after the prologue has yet to be revealed, but obviously they got seperated at some point.
My presumption for season 2 based on typical TV drama tropes, is that it's revealed Barb and Vault-tec goons kidnap the daughter off Coop in the immediate aftermath of the nuking after he tried to access a vault, and they're currently frozen while he got left behind. Maybe the daughter is an early stage ghoul and is kept frozen for extra drama.
>What happens to Coop and his daughter after the prologue has yet to be revealed, but obviously they got seperated at some point.
Not only that, but Coop was confident that Hank knows what happened to them and that Barbara and daughter are together (he didn't ask where is his daughter or Barbara, he specifically asked Hank where is his family).
Here are couple of problems, first things first, as I mentioned before, Goggins is looking both for Barbara and his daughter, he probably already has a reason to assume that they are together. So they definitely got separated and Barbara and daughter are most likely together, which I think gives no favors to Barbara because very likely scenario is that Goggins reached Barbs's Vault and did convince Vault-Tec to take her in and they were safe in the Vault and Barb both knew she was nuking her daughter and Goggins had to beg her to take her daughter in as nukes were being dropped and she left Goggins behind. Here's another problem, I don't think they are going to freeze her daughter because her actress has already aged, if they are going to make his daughter a supporting character or even a ghoul, then she will definitely age up no matter how you look at it, unless they recast a different 6 years old in hopes that no one would notice, which is plausible too, but much harder if they plan to keep using her.
So, no matter how you slice it, Barbara either nuked her daughter and husband, or left her husband behind after she nuked her daughter, unless she picked up her daughter after the nukes dropped and still left Goggins behind who would have no reason to let his daughter go
Maybe I have too much faith in the writers but I’m pretty sure vault tec didn’t get the chance to enact their plan to nuke first. Rather they were caught off guard because China or America nuked first
Otherwise it makes a lot things confusing. Why would Robert house order the platinum chip to arrive JUST before he knew vault tec would be dropping the nukes to start a nuke war?
Why were so many vault tec vaults unable to fill on time because nobody expected the bombs to fall? Kind of makes it pointless to have a bunch of experiments and control vaults planned without ensuring you get the people in first
Likewise. Why would vault tec lady leave her daughter with goggins on the day they planned to start WW3? Just make sure she is with you that day. Makes no sense for her to actually start it while not having her daughter with her
I’ve been saying this since it aired but I’m always attacked by the zealots doubling down on “reeeee they ruined New Vegas” or, the even worse crowd, “it goes against the entire spirit of the games”. Literally fricking doesn’t, you fat fricking spastics
They are part of the same canon, moron.
How much of a frickup do you need to he to lose custody of your child to your rodeo clown ex-husband?
And why was he paying alimony if she had a better job and no custody?
I figured that she didn't want custody and let him have it so she could work on her career. He might have earned more when the divorce was final, then he lost his gig, never had enough money to go back to court to fight the alimony demand
Or he was so desperate to get his kid out of that situation, he let b***h wife have whatever she wanted (alimony)
>I figured that she didn't want custody and let him have it so she could work on her career.
homie she literally says multiple times in the show that everything she does is for her daughter.
>Anon falls for marketing speech during a CEO meeting
KEK
Oh, yeah, she did a marketing speech for her husband a couple times too.
That's what she "says" but her actions are different. Because you see her telling Howard how she sat by and waited for him while he was in the military, now she wants to improve her career and gain more power
People always use kids as an excuse to do batshit crazy things
I dont think the implication is that Vault-tec literally set off any bombs, rather that they are part of a military-industrial complex with the US government and it was inevitable the bombs would drop because it was in the interest of higher-ups in government to do so.
Vault-tec didn't have direct control over the outbreak but they had lobbying influence to guarantee that the ball is rolling in that direction.
Someone at work did try to talk to me about this show and did in fact say that they didn't understand anything at all but still enjoyed it. They talked about "the zombie guy" and "the knight guy" and couldn't actually explain the plot to me at all and were hoping I could tell them the plot since I play games. I'm not going to watch it but I'm going to assume it's riding entirely off style and has zero substance.
The plot makes even less sense if you've played the games. But playing the games doesn't help you with walking plot hole that is Lee Moldaver, the writing is genuinely incomprehensible.
The style is incredibly sharp and is the only good thing about the show (except for qt main character and Goggins)
It has nothing to do with the games except for the visuals which are all taken from fo4 and fo76
The plot is simplistic you can’t explain it
90% of the show is basically side quests
The “main story” is just everybody chasing plot macguffin that isn’t even revealed what it actually is or does until the last ten minutes of the finale. So there’s no impact for the viewer
wasteland's golden rule: thou shalt always get sidetracked by bullshit
Wait I might have missed it, but is Betty the new 32 overseer, the same person as the Vault tec secretary who asks Cooper if he'd meet her boss? Not just because they're both black people.
Yes.
Normal people don’t even “watch” shows. They just do stuff on their phone while it’s playing.
I knew about the games but never played any of them and watched the show anyways.
I agree the plot was moronic but the world building wasn't super confusing, at least not in an annoying way, I'm glad they didn't explain everything.
Still had fun watching the show though.
>one guy from the vault comes out to the surface
>changes the world in some way
>literally every time
You know, maybe Vault-Tec were right.
Glad NV didn't have a vault dweller protagonist.

>Jackals

Yeah no
because the only people enjoying this shitslop
are either people who don't really require to understand what they are watching
as long as it's entertaining in some way "if it makes boom and has bunch of zombies i'm happy"
or franchise suckers who consume anything belonging to something that they like
like star wars drones
>like star wars drones
when I watch the new disney star wars movies it feels like simulated disjointed fever dream stroke, in comparison fallouts perfectly watchable, thought theres room for improvement
even my mom couldnt stand this boring shit had to to turn it off for her at the second episode cause it was just someone walking the for 15 minutes
>Being a normie who knows nothing about Fallout
Fallout is a normie video game series so it's ok. Literally the most mainstream RPG game to play
Or maybe you're just moronic that can't make simple deductions on your own and require handholding at all times.
i thought the main girl was really hot but then i saw a leaked picture of her HORRIBLE breasts!!!!!!! it's not fair bros she would be a 10 if they were even ok now she's completely unfrickable and should transition
seek help
I’ve never played the games nor knowledgeable about the lore and I dropped it after 2 episodes. Didn’t hold my interest at all.
I honestly don't know what is there to improve upon in season 1, if season 2 wants to be good its only course of action is to just not even try to explain literal gibberish that is season 1.
How did Hank hike all the way from LA (which is where the Griffith Observatory is) to Vegas? The jets don't take you that far and deplete the fusion core rapidly
We don't even know how come Moldaver didn't just stumble upon or cross paths with Wilzig on her way out of Vault 33 or if Moldaver kidnapped Hank because Wilzig finished cold fusion and how close Enclave are to Vault 33 to make it happen so that Lucy could stumble upon Wilzig, but Moldaver didn't, unless she had a vertibird, which we didn't see in Griffith observatory.
Basically, logistics and passage of time in the show are merely a suggestion.
only thing he needs is few water refills, the fusion core in suit will last for years
thats pretty clearly been retconned in modern fallouts
in episode 5 his HUD shows that his fusion core is nearly empty, even before Thaddeus takes it out with his key
>thats pretty clearly been retconned in modern fallouts
nah, the cores being drained fast is just a scarcity mechanic to keep you hunting for more, not lore
coincidentally one of the reasons I pick fallout 4 over 76 ten times out of ten, you have mods
>bro casually hiked 246 miles with no way to get more food or clean water
He used fast travel.
requires discovering the location first
Probably travelled there even before the war.
I went back to episode 2 to see the start and it looks like his fusion core was ALWAYS empty
they just fricked up
Amazon trans shills are out in full force
Bezos is sending out all the trans sisters to shill this show
as a boomer who only likes Fallout 1, I find it amusing that zooms are complaining about the show messing with canon.
they fricked with fo1 lore too though by swapping The Boneyard and Shady Sands
they even moved the foundation forward because you cant make a farming community at ground 0 only 20 after the bombs fell, since thered still be nearly half the amount of radioactive isotopes present
*20 years
I haven't watched the show
Why come everyone keeps on saying Fallout is a neo-western?
it has cowboys and indians
Because Chad Vegas is.
Most of the environment is desert and arid wasteland
Shootouts with outlaws
Raiders instead of indians
i just paused the show to say WHY THE FRICK ARE THEY GETTING NAKED AND GOING SHHHHHHHHHHH?????????? WHAT IS FALLOUT NOW?!?
I fast forwarded through that, it was stupid and not important
why nuke america? looked pretty comfy. obedient wives and could smoke indoors
profits were falling
>why nuke america?
americans launched successful counter-offensive on Chinese mainland
I’m still convinced the Chinese nuked first and vault tec fricked up by not predicting it would happen so soon. If vault tec did nuke first why do they even still have nukes 200 years later? They really building them with the limited resources they have?
The Americans were clearly fwinning the war with their power armor and has major advances into mainland China. Meanwhile America was safe. Had annexed Canada. And only real threat was Chinese spies and Chinese stealth subs that could nuke them while undetected off the coast
in my opinion biggest indicator for vault tec not triggering the exchange is the fact their contingency plans very much fell through, the vaults were left to their own devices without planned support and centralized oversight
>I’m still convinced the Chinese nuked first and vault tec fricked up by not predicting it would happen so soon. If vault tec did nuke first why do they even still have nukes 200 years later?
If Vault tec didn't nuke first then why do they have nukes at all?
all the nuclear weapons US government possesses were made by private corporations
West-Tec was the military contractor. They also were the ones who developed FEV until Bethesda decided to give it to Vault-Tec for some moronic reason in Fallout 3.
Because
A) vault tec built everything. Including nukes. They’d have access to some that didn’t launch for one reason or another
B) they DID plan to nuke first. Built nukes specifically for this. But didn’t get the chance to do so before the major powers started firing nukes.
>B) they DID plan to nuke first. Built nukes specifically for this. But didn’t get the chance to do so before the major powers started firing nukes.
double funny if vault tecs preparations were detected by China and taken as intent by US and pre-emptively struck before vault tec was ready
Honestly would work because China was very successful in terms of espionage in America. Plus they had advanced stealth tech.
So the Chinese finding info about an American company planning to fire nukes first would set off alarms. Especially since they’re commies and would conflate an independent company with the US government because capitalism evil or whatever
Amazon troony shills and reddit troony shills love Fallout.
real question.
why didn't lucy get naked at the ritual. she seems very eager to frick. this could have been a fun night for her
Its a known fact that CEO of Amazon Jeff Bezos sends his well funded army of Amazon troony shills to shill Fallout on every major site on the internet.
