It wouldn't do T-51B.

>NCR is in, there are several flags visible in some of the promo material as well as troopers.
Only pics I've seen are from this article so I didn't see any, if they are present then I feel as if they should have a bigger presence since we'd be seeing them 15 years after NV. Also yeah this takes place long after 2.
>no mention of the NCR
It's probably doing a variant of the Fallout 1 storyline but inexplicably without any supermutants. And the BoS will be ten times more influential and powerful than they were in the games.
They said they're gonna do a wholly original story that's canon with the other games so I don't know if they'll just rehash FO1 but I wouldn't put it past them
>It takes place 9 years after the events of Fallout 4
That's moronic. Humanity is already on the upswing by then. There are full-fledged nation states like the NCR spanning entire US states, with complex economies and government structures. It's basically a post-apocalypse setting anymore.
Even New Vegas is as much a western as it is a post-apocalypse game.

Bit of a stretch to get another zeppelin (the one in the show has a different name than FO4's) and dozens of vertibirds distributed from one end of the country to another in less than a decade but maybe they'll come up with real answer since BoS probably jacked whatever tech the institute.

>They can never leave alone the enclave can they
Honestly, the sneedclave is my favorite faction in fallout, so I don't mind too much.
My problem is that they are always portrayed as le ebil nazi white men in lab coats and devil power armor.
The Enclave are far more nuanced than that. They could be done so much more justice by introducing some moral fiber into their characterization.
They are just evil for evil's sake. Colonel Autumn is a good example. If you look below the surface level of his characterization, you'll find a man who cares deeply about his country and fellow men, who despises the computer he must call president.
He wants to save the wasteland in his own way, he just doesn't see any way of doing it without the deaths of people he considers irradiated, mutant psychopaths.
Maybe his opinion would change once he's forced to live among the settlers of rivet city after you spare him.
originally they were supposed to be constructing a orbital generation ship to establish colonies off world. This is what the vault experiment thing was all about, stress testing enclosed populations in various realistic conflict tests the colonizers might encounter. As the vaults were never going to be able to even preserve 1% of the pre war population
Then the generation ship got retconned, enclave became about the final solution for those filthy mainlanders and vaults about populations where everybody was named Gary

>Then the generation ship got retconned
I wouldn't count on that.
All the rocket engines in Boston you see being transported via flatbeds were all heading to Poseidon facilities.
There are also records of Vertibirds stripping arcjet of supplies.
It's likely the Enclave are still a powerful faction in orbit or even possibly on the moon, waiting to return.

I'd like to see a fractured Enclave, personally.
Maybe a faction in Chicago that have given up on the whole 'purity' thing and have decided to resurrect the old U.S.A with what they have.
Keep the fascist aesthetic but with noble intentions.
Kind of like a less zealotry BoS.
And then you have the space Enclave who are all about human purity.
At least this way you can have a big bad evil enclave who must be destroyed, but you also get a sometimes kind of ass hole enclave who aren't always the bad guy and can actually be kind of good for the wasteland.
I think the Enclave are far to beloved of a faction to ever kill off permanently, anyway.

>vaults about populations where everybody was named Gary
The cloning vault was a missed opportunity, it would have been interesting see how a society develops when everyone ua just a clone of the same guy.
Instead they just run around screaming GARY over and over
“The games are about the culture of division and haves and have-nots that, unfortunately, have only gotten more and more acute in this country and around the world over the last decades,” >Lucy is nice, but Lucy is naive. In the Fallout universe, the human beings fortunate enough to ride out the apocalypse in underground communities only had that option available to them because they had money. >the end of the world offers a rich opportunity to comment on the real one.
uuuuuhhhhh
weren't the vault people all chosen as some kind of fricked up experiment?
They were still a bunch of "control" vaults that rode out the apocalypse and whose descendants later founded the main human settlements (Shady Sands, Vault City).
However that quote is dumb as most humans that live in the Wasteland are descended from vault-dwellers. It's just that some vaults opened 40 years after the bombs dropped, and others opened only 200 years later.
>Shady Sands >control vaults
You're a fricking idiot that didn't play the games. Vault 15's experiment was to create a bunch of racial mutts which is how it spawned all those fricking gangs and the horrifying to look at Aradesh
>that plot detail lacking any detail about Kyle MacLachlan's character >only one image of them inside the vault alongside woman
Kyle dies inside the vault, now it's adventures of woman vault dweller. Awesome and exciting.
Yes. A bunch of people bought their vault spots, only for the vault guys to use them all as social experiments, with varying degrees of extremities and some 'control vaults'. You generally play as people from fairly normal control vaults.
For example there's a vault with all females and one man, and another vault with all males and one female. Vaults where drink was spiked too, stuff like this.
>It was announced in July 2020 that a television adaptation of the video game franchise had received a series commitment from Amazon Studios developed by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.[1] Joy described the series as "a gonzo, crazy, funny, adventure, and mindfrick like none you’ve ever seen before"

lmao this looks like the next Halo. This'll flop so hard.
It's funny how they wrote basic knowledge about resistors on the blackboard to pretend they are smart.
If you homosexuals actually read the article, they are using AI to generate the blackboard text then edit slightly because "no one wants such a tedious job" which is kinda based ngl
>they modelled the vault suit after a mod called the proto vault suit instead of modelling it on any of the actual vanilla vault suits
Why does this bother me?
This show is going to be shit, no doubt but the suit erks me.
I guess it's pretty cool for the guy that made the mod, though.
Oh shit.
I thought it was smoother than that without the ridges.
My bad I guess.
Seems moronic by I can enjoy it more now.
I still stand by the moronation of T-60 though.
Jonathan Nolan did Westworld which obviously looked great and had a great first season. As long as there's someone on hand to say "No, don't write that, that's shit" it mite b cool.
That's the problem. Writers want to write what they want to write. They don't like using source material. They use books and video games as bare canvas to actually do what they want..

Have they confirmed when the show takes place?
I've heard it takes place early in the timeline at a point in the lore when the NCR shouldn't exist.
Like 40 something years after the bombs dropped.
For it to make sense it needs to take place between fallout 1 and 2.
Before fallout 1 and the NCR presence doesn't make sense.
After fallout 2 and the Enclave presence doesn't make sense.
bethesda is doing an west coast story? this is going to be way worse than any of us can imagine, they maged to frick the lore of the original games from the other side of the country, God knows how they'll destroy it from up close.
>The ‘FALLOUT’ series is canon to the other games.
“A lot of pitches were, you know, ‘This is the movie of Fallout 3…’ I was like, ‘Yeah, we told that story.’ I don’t have a lot of interest seeing those translated,” says Todd Howard.
Everything in Fallout must now retroactively look like FO4/FO76, just like how everything in TES must now retroactively look like it does in Skyrim/ESO
In fairness the aesthetics of Oblivion are dated to say the least.
The aesthetics of Morrowind are dog shit, anyone who advocates for it are blinding by nostalgia vision.
Even Vanilla skyrim looks dated.
ESO feels like a stylized, updated oblivion look but it doesn't work.
TES 6 will most likely try a different aesthetic all together. I hope they don't go all stylized cartoony like they did with fallout 4.
ESO looks worse though what the frick are you talking about? It aims for higher fidelity, which only exposes the shortcomings more compared to Morrowind's stylised visuals

>Morrowind's stylised visuals
Which aren't realised due to limitations of the era.
ESO isn't great, but it does a better job at capturing morrowinds aesthetic purely by virtue of being more modern.
It could be done better in skyrim's engine.
But untill skywind comes out or whatever other vaporware is currently being worked on, ESO is the best version of Morrowind we have. whether you like it or not.

morrowind's aesthetic is much more realised in ESO due to modern tech.
It's all well and good drawing a pretty mushroom on a volcanic, ashen landscape but if your end result is dogshit, what does it matter?
Morrowind was an amazing game for it's time. Anyone who defends it as holding up in current year is deluded when the likes of ESO shits all over it, visually.
Besides, this is all moot. In response to the original poster, morrowinds aesthetic wouldn't translate well the hammerfell or high rock.
let me guess, will be the lover of the main character girl ? fricking amazon
what the frick is the obsession with the brotherhood of steel? they're the most generic group of dipshits in all of fallout, even in 1 and 2 they were so bland and uninteresting and yet everything fallout has to be centered around them.
Walton "Black person homosexual" Goggins is looking pretty alright at least. Shame he's not a Marked Man and is just a Ghoul, if he were this still would've actually gotten a strong reaction from me.
I think the Marked Man look is intentional. He's also got a cowboy outfit and is using a lever-action shotgun, dude's clearly a loud callback to New Vegas, and that's where the Marked Men are from.
Yeah, that looked great and there was no reason to be mad about it before it came out. The writing was confusing and worse in a variety of ways than the games, but it looked great.
>Halo show?
Show A has nothing to do about show B. Do you think every TV show is made by the same dozen or so people? Yeah yeah I know... Here is where you chud like mutter something about israelites as you munch on the chikn tendies mommy just made you
Halo was delayed for years, went through eight show runners, and switched networks almost as many times. It was a prostitute and only released because Spielberg got paid from the stipulations. The Boys, GoT, and Walking Dead are better comparisons.
>The vibe I’m getting here is that if you’re not a fan of the source material then you will enjoy it
Ah it’s so fun when your years of support of a franchise just leads to it being scraped to the bone by vultures, because it’s easier to adapt an established narrative/franchise than think of anything new or novel. What purpose do these things even serve? You may as well just go watch a letsplay of FO4 and skip all the combat. You’ll get the same effect. It’s not like adapting a book where you get to bring the world to life on screen. This is just sloppy fanfiction and cosplay.
So here we have a homosexual who has an inflated self importance. Thinking that Hollywood writers have any leg to say "we understand the story better than the original writers" after a decade of numerous dogshit series failing because of said writers injecting modern day politics into everything
Yeah, that looked great and there was no reason to be mad about it before it came out. The writing was confusing and worse in a variety of ways than the games, but it looked great.
Here's the homosexual deflecting by saying "shut up it looked good at least" which is moving the goal post
>Halo show?
Show A has nothing to do about show B. Do you think every TV show is made by the same dozen or so people? Yeah yeah I know... Here is where you chud like mutter something about israelites as you munch on the chikn tendies mommy just made you
Another deflection, by thinking the industry doesn't have a poisonous culture of ignoring the original stories in favor of California pandering
Fallout is a robust setting that allows for very unique takes. Bethesda is just more creatively bankrupt than Disney and turned it into a meme property. It isn't "power armor, jumpsuit and radioactive ghouls". It's about America after a hard reset where our military complex ate itself and now we must survive our own creations of war that have come to bite us in the ass. It's about new societies being formed with new politics and cultures to survive. If you want to ignore all this and just make an empty story filled with nothing but hacky references then go ahead, eat your full of the slop
why do people keep falling for this shit. god damn. "m-maybe itll be kino this time" or "the first episode was good and now im hooked on the """""""""""mystery""""""""" that wont be resolved until the series finale" i hate you

I thought they were founded literally the day before the nukes fell when the Maxon guy revolted against the US government
The Brotherhood formed officially shortly after the bombs fell.
Maxon's group established itself in the days before the bombs dropped.
Several years after the Brotherhood established itself, they started sending out radio beacons to any military remnants.
Colonel Elizabeth Taggerty, who served with Maxon before the bombs dropped intercepted the radio transmissions, made contact and later joned the Brotherhood, creating the Appalachian chapter.
The brotherhood didn't have access to Vertibird tech until after the fall of the Enclave in fallout 2.
>Wait when did the brotherhood form?
shortly post war. Original core was US military detachment assigned to guard the Mariposa FEV vats military base. After they found out what the egg heads were doing they executed them and rebelled against US gov. not having any response they packed the base up with automated defences and migrated south to a abandoned government bunker which is the one the player sees in F1.
of course, this is what it originally was. no idea WTF todd has taken a shit on since then
>After the incendiary mushroom clouds, the story flashes forward 219 years. How did humanity fair over those blighted two centuries?
stated in the article
It's California so expect NCR, BoS remnants, Followers of the Apocalypse, maybe Jackals, Vipers and Super Mutant remnants from the Master. I don't know where the frick they expect to go with it. It's been lore established that California is pretty much back to civilized, even in fricking Kellogg's memories in FO4.
It will probably include a lot of factions and events from the earlier games if it takes place on the west coast. I don't see how any of the ones from FO4 could be in
Do you trust Bethesda to take a path that actually makes sense, or do you trust them to take a path that involves referencing Fallout 3
5 months ago
Anonymous
I don't trust Bethesda or fricking Amazon with shit. It's gonna be a lore nightmare, but the fact they pretty much dropped the Enclave in FO4 gives me the tiniest amount of hope that they won't make any more of an appearance than a reference to Navarro.
Daaaamn I didn’t know they got MacLachlan, going to be an overseer or what? I might be in. Gonna suck so bad. Would be nice if it was a hit and made bethesda stop squandering that 10/10 aesthetic.
I don't mind if she's hot which this one is and they don't have any over the top anti-male themes or dialogue which remains to be seen. So far just the fact that it's a young and attractive White person as the protagonist is a good sign.
2/3 of the premade characters are men. Canonically male in all cutscenes in the first two games. So naturally the protagonist must be a woman for the show.
They're going to disney wars the shit out of this, Vault woman is going to be the hyper competent girlboss and brotha'hood black guy is going to be her hypeman.
You're going to see twitter tards defending the girl being a mary sue because in the games you play as a vault dweller that can change the world on his own, but that kind of shit doesn't work on live-action.
>he didn't see the timeloop episode where the protagonist has a 6% chance to pass a speech check and wastes 45 minutes quicksaving and quickloading for 15 extra bottlecaps
Isn’t this the girl that got insanely robbed by homies and then was completely tiptoeing around it and not trying to blame anyone? Think nonwhites even came for her on social media for it, for getting robbed.
man whoever it was on this site that told me the industry is panicking and desperately (and far too late) trying to chase down the popularity of games
i fricking kneel
bethesda is doing an west coast story? this is going to be way worse than any of us can imagine, they maged to frick the lore of the original games from the other side of the country, God knows how they'll destroy it from up close.
>TV show is confirmed canon to the game's storyline
So the west coast Brothehood got their vertibirds where exactly? it's canon in NV that the New California Republic got the enclaves fleet and the brothehood got fricked 5 ways from sunday.
You give the brotherhood the vertibird plans in FO2. Not too far fetched to say that a tech cult could produce a few once they had accurate plans to work with.
Atp I'd pay for a Cinemaphile where every thread is about great shows and kino and anons maintain a pretend timeline and everything is white enough and attractive
my main concern is them overblowing how big the BoS is and the overall adherence to the repulsive fo4 art design which just is awful. It’s Flanderized to the extreme. Everything in the fo4 art direction is a bastardized version of Adamowicz’s take on Fo1 art. He is the reason fo3 is visually very true to fo1 in spirit despite some changes. Whereas fo4 tried to be superficially similar to fo1 but its spirit is gumdrop bubblegum candy cane and overdesigned. Look at the fo3 assault rifle compared to 4. Or the t45, which showed a scrappy underfunded brotherhood using police tier power armor to the t60, which was meant to be t45 but was overdesigned so much they said frick it its its own thing and also existed before the war.
The secret service power armor is cool. It looks like what frank horrigan had. But otherwise my point being is fo4 art design is ugly and overdesigned. Fo1 art is utilitarian and good. Even the clip of the show where theyre walking looks awful. It has no weight to it. Just dudes having a stroll. Compared to this dude S0daz who makes fallout machinamas where every movement of the armor feels powerful.
Its also annoying that these morons even have a role in the story at all. They were turned into al qaeda cave monkeys by the NCR and now we have to watch as these gays make them the Main Character of the series
>overdesigned
its not even overdesign its just straight up moron designed. look at pic related, ignoring all of the 90 degree armor for maximum penetration and tell me, can the turret turn without clipping those fuel tank thingies on its side
The Brotherhood is at their best when they are a small group of schitzo tech hoarders.
For whatever reason Todd seems to be obsessed with making them the wasteland police.
The NCR are clearly the best faction for that role.
>NCR realizes that it's kind of dumb to discriminate against ghouls because they probably have more scientific ke technical knowledge than most other morons living in the wastes >instantly becomes foremost power in the West
It's that easy, huh? Vault City chuds still seething.
what the frick is the obsession with the brotherhood of steel? they're the most generic group of dipshits in all of fallout, even in 1 and 2 they were so bland and uninteresting and yet everything fallout has to be centered around them.
Bethesda is creativly bankrupt >DUDE WHOLE WORLD USES BOTTLE CAPS >DUDE PEOPLE STILL LIVE LIKE THE BOMBS HIT YESTERDAY >DUUDE BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL OMG EPIC KNIGHTS IN ARMOR
Man this shit is half worrying and half decent at the same time.
>The main character is cute, but she's female which is the worst option for any fallout protag >It's East Coast which is garbage, but it's post-Lyons so it's slightly fricking better >Obvious love interest is a Black person, but it might be balanced by fricking Goggins as a ghoul
I don't even fricking know what to think
>It's set in "Los Angeles" (guess Boneyard got retconned lol lmao)
Idk, Boneyard used to be LA Boneyard so it's not entirely lore incorrect, but no one would call it Los Angeles outside of pre-war ghouls probably like Raoul with Two Sun.
there is no story in fallout games, you just stumble from one place to the next looking for a mcguffin. sometimes it just happens to be a relative, or some guy who shot you in the head, it doesnt matter, point is the universe is basically a blank slate as far as writing for tv goes.
This is only true in Bethesda fallout. It's designed for people who only pay video games for half an hour and can't follow a narrative between sessions. This it's just a loose collections of random quests with no tether to each other.
But in the actually good fallout games there's a richer narrative. It's about new societies and ancient weapons and technologies that are basically magic to the people of the future. Conflicts are more nuanced than just fallout licensed Spartans.
Many times, oddly enough fallout never seemed to lean into the fact that their universe would've been 90 % white. The Fallout universe is a vision of the future seen through 50's eyes so why would that vision only extend to technology?

At least this way you can have a big bad evil enclave who must be destroyed, but you also get a sometimes kind of ass hole enclave who aren't always the bad guy and can actually be kind of good for the wasteland.
I think the Enclave are far to beloved of a faction to ever kill off permanently, anyway.
>vaults about populations where everybody was named Gary
The cloning vault was a missed opportunity, it would have been interesting see how a society develops when everyone ua just a clone of the same guy.
Instead they just run around screaming GARY over and over
“The games are about the culture of division and haves and have-nots that, unfortunately, have only gotten more and more acute in this country and around the world over the last decades,”
>Lucy is nice, but Lucy is naive.
And California already had Vault 8 (Vault City) as control. 13 was meant to be never opened.
>Shady Sands
>control vaults
You're a fricking idiot that didn't play the games. Vault 15's experiment was to create a bunch of racial mutts which is how it spawned all those fricking gangs and the horrifying to look at Aradesh
>that plot detail lacking any detail about Kyle MacLachlan's character
>only one image of them inside the vault alongside woman
Kyle dies inside the vault, now it's adventures of woman vault dweller. Awesome and exciting.
Did you seriously think a 60 year old white man was going to be the main character?
This is such a weird thing to kvetch about, he's obviously the father of the main character, why would be come along for the ride
The vault suit trim is supposed to be golden lining for heat dispersion. Fricking cheap hacks.
Does it not look metallic to you? It looks metallic to me.
Shut up, nerd!
So, what kind of experiment is the vault going to be about? Wasn't there a vault that was just one guy stuck with thousands of chickens?
>For example there's a vault with all females and one man
Sounds like hell haha, I'd hate to be that guy
Hey I didn't know they were having a cute girl. I always have cute girl characters so this is very immersive for me.
How’s the transition going
>
did they cast the black woman with a giant afro who will lecture the viewer about racism while bluntly drawing parallels to how they treat ghouls?
This will become so shitty and you know it
No, it will just start shitty
oH shit homie, it be that eye bugged b***h playing in this shit?
It looks like a porn parody
Now that I would watch
Why don't these israelite studios just drop the mask and make everything into porn like they want to?
jacky from that 2200s show
Is it going to be fun?
honestly it does seem like it might be fun
>It was announced in July 2020 that a television adaptation of the video game franchise had received a series commitment from Amazon Studios developed by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.[1] Joy described the series as "a gonzo, crazy, funny, adventure, and mindfrick like none you’ve ever seen before"
>Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy
>the Black folk who did Westworld
lmao RIP once again Toddcels
>the Black folk who did Westworld
First season was good.
Did they create the three shitty seasons though?
>a gonzo, crazy, funny, adventure, and mindfrick
Is this supposed to be appealing? Sounds like they don't know what it is.
Sounds like Fallout 2 except for the mindfrick tbh. I guess the mindfrick refers to the vaulttech secrets.
lmao this looks like the next Halo. This'll flop so hard.
Quest driven RPGs are hard to do as a TV show. See Witcher. It looks like it's taking heavy inspiration from FO4. Carefully optimistic.
Article says they wanted to make it fun, so maybe
that just means it's just going to have that shitty joss whedon quippy dialogue
It's funny how they wrote basic knowledge about resistors on the blackboard to pretend they are smart.
I studied that shit in trade school.
Where did YOU learn that information anon?
high school
Where are you from?
OK, and where was it written down
Its funny how anon comments on the information on the blackboard to pretend they are smart
If you homosexuals actually read the article, they are using AI to generate the blackboard text then edit slightly because "no one wants such a tedious job" which is kinda based ngl
>"kinda based ngl"
t. moronic baiter every time some does something worthy of contempt*
whoah lynchian
is that teh broad from yellowjackets?
She was terrible in that zack snyder zombie movie
>zack snyder zombie movie
yes
>Kyle Maclachlan
Ok ill try it
I managed to not watch their lord of the rings shitty adaptation but I must admit I wont be able to restrain myself from watching it... pray for me
>they modelled the vault suit after a mod called the proto vault suit instead of modelling it on any of the actual vanilla vault suits
Why does this bother me?
This show is going to be shit, no doubt but the suit erks me.
I guess it's pretty cool for the guy that made the mod, though.
Isn't that just a regular FO4 suit?
Oh shit.
I thought it was smoother than that without the ridges.
My bad I guess.
Seems moronic by I can enjoy it more now.
I still stand by the moronation of T-60 though.
no? explain yourself
It should be directed by Raimi or del Toro, otherwise it will be trash just like their stupid as rings series
last look for me
>girlboss shit
I'm good
This is what happens with every project Lisa Joy takes control of from her cucked husband
Anyone who thinks this will be good is a fool.
he's gonna carry the show
Ghouls don't have ears, same reason they don't have noses, how did no one notice?
Why don't they use Fallout 1-era ghouls? The new designs are so lazy and uninspired.
Harold isn't a ghoul.
He isn't? Isn't ghoul the umbrella term for all irradiated humans that are now immortal?
Ghouls are product of radiation in the environment
Harold mutated after being exposed to the fev virus so he is a mutant just not a super mutant
Oh right, I forgot he was one of the Master's buddies in another life.
He's the result of a unique FEV mutation that merged him with a tree.
Ghouls or purely a product of radiation from a nuclear explosion.
if you want to *akshually* post then harold is basically an fev reject but in practical reality he is just a ghoul.
Harold its a FEV mutant he was with the Master when he became a mutant
To conform with current brand standards.
Herold is a mutant
But the other anon is right ghouls don't have ears
Just a man with no nose. Need to be more repulsive.
The marked man are not that repulsive
So he's not the m.c. protag? Dammit. Was excited to see him in sci-fi as the lead.
>homosexual SMOOTHSKIN SON
In which Fallout does this character appear?
>The ‘FALLOUT’ series is canon to the other games.
“A lot of pitches were, you know, ‘This is the movie of Fallout 3…’ I was like, ‘Yeah, we told that story.’ I don’t have a lot of interest seeing those translated,” says Todd Howard.
Is he going to say the line?
THE ghoul?
Look around you. Men caused this. Men destroyed the world. It's up to us to make things right.
oh no no no not the goofy ass looking guns from f4
What's the emblem on the chest? Just standard Paladin of the Brotherhood?
The rank is on his left sleeve
Standard design, but usually it's yellow, not red.
>usually it's yellow
*if you only play New Vegas
Everything in Fallout must now retroactively look like FO4/FO76, just like how everything in TES must now retroactively look like it does in Skyrim/ESO
TES???
In fairness the aesthetics of Oblivion are dated to say the least.
The aesthetics of Morrowind are dog shit, anyone who advocates for it are blinding by nostalgia vision.
Even Vanilla skyrim looks dated.
ESO feels like a stylized, updated oblivion look but it doesn't work.
TES 6 will most likely try a different aesthetic all together. I hope they don't go all stylized cartoony like they did with fallout 4.
>I hope they don't go all stylized cartoony like they did with fallout 4.
Leave that to Obsidian (Avowed).
>The aesthetics of Morrowind are dog shit, anyone who advocates for it are blinding by nostalgia vision.
Dogshit taste
Allow me to remove
your nostalgia goggles
ESO looks worse though what the frick are you talking about? It aims for higher fidelity, which only exposes the shortcomings more compared to Morrowind's stylised visuals
>Morrowind's stylised visuals
Which aren't realised due to limitations of the era.
ESO isn't great, but it does a better job at capturing morrowinds aesthetic purely by virtue of being more modern.
It could be done better in skyrim's engine.
But untill skywind comes out or whatever other vaporware is currently being worked on, ESO is the best version of Morrowind we have. whether you like it or not.
>Which aren't realised due to limitations of the era.
They're realised pretty fricking well because they're designed around the technical constraints
>but it does a better job at capturing morrowinds aesthetic purely by virtue of being more modern.
>newerer is betterer
moron alert
It doesn't matter how new it is or how much more complex the engine is if everything is having its visual identity and design language homogenised into grey soup
Morrowind does not look good. I'm sorry to say.
You only think that looks good because you are stricken with nostalgia.
The pic you posted looks like dog shit.
Even Tel Mithrin in skyrim looks like dog shit now.
I remember being in awe of it when I first seen it.
>t. grafixpleb
there's no need to read this guy's posts
>beaten in argument
>throw random insults
No really, enjoy playing your 21 year old game with dog shit visuals because you're too much of a contrarian to admit there are games that better portray the morrowind aesthetic.
>The aesthetics of Morrowind are dog shit,
I am revoking your opinion licence, as you are clearly not capable of using it responsibly.
The art design is fantastic but in game it doesn't look all that good.
>20 year old game doesn't look all that good
kys
Not hating, just saying the style doesn't work that well in game.
You said "aesthetics". You were shitting on the art design and not the graphics quality. Nice try moving the goal post.
That wasn't me.
It was me.
and as i said here
morrowind's aesthetic is much more realised in ESO due to modern tech.
In response to the original poster, morrowinds aesthetic wouldn't translate well the hammerfell or high rock.
please refer to
and
Except for person on the right this looks based. Of course it'll be shit because of Oded Yinon Plan, but production values aren't lacking.
I don't mind the big ass gun as long it's only being carried by PA wearers.
great, that fricking frogs eyes girl
let me guess, will be the lover of the main character girl ? fricking amazon
shut up Todd and go and fix Starfield
Walton "Black person homosexual" Goggins is looking pretty alright at least. Shame he's not a Marked Man and is just a Ghoul, if he were this still would've actually gotten a strong reaction from me.
I think the Marked Man look is intentional. He's also got a cowboy outfit and is using a lever-action shotgun, dude's clearly a loud callback to New Vegas, and that's where the Marked Men are from.
>Goggins is in it
Okay, kino incoming. Wasn't going to watch it but I might give it a try
This is a kino image and I will watch it for Uncle Baby Billy
The vibe I'm getting here is that if you're not a Cinemaphile autist looking for something to be mad about so you can feel special it looks great
like the excellent and critically acclaimed Halo show?
More like Shitcher and RoP(e)
It looks promising from the article
Here's the homosexual deflecting by saying "shut up it looked good at least" which is moving the goal post
Looks good but these are just pics, need a trailer or teaser
>Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy
>images look decent
Maybe it won't be a total dumpster fire.
why do people keep falling for this shit. god damn. "m-maybe itll be kino this time" or "the first episode was good and now im hooked on the """""""""""mystery""""""""" that wont be resolved until the series finale" i hate you
Amazon is mostly shit but they've made Terminal List. And unlike trash like Rings of Power this does have a decent enough writer's team behind it.
Wait when did the brotherhood form? Didn't 76 say in Appalachia sometime after the bombs fell? Where is so going to be located?
So it takes place after fallout 4?
That's interesting.
What factions will likely be present then?
It's California so expect NCR, BoS remnants, Followers of the Apocalypse, maybe Jackals, Vipers and Super Mutant remnants from the Master. I don't know where the frick they expect to go with it. It's been lore established that California is pretty much back to civilized, even in fricking Kellogg's memories in FO4.
Maybe the Courier canonically nuked the NCR in Lonesome Road
It will probably include a lot of factions and events from the earlier games if it takes place on the west coast. I don't see how any of the ones from FO4 could be in
>Enclave
>BoS
>epic Fallout 1/2 reference faction (it's our time to shine Shibros)
>OC minor faction(s) that control one small town each
>Enclave
The last enclave remnants would've died of old age by the time this shit is supposed to take place.
Do you trust Bethesda to take a path that actually makes sense, or do you trust them to take a path that involves referencing Fallout 3
I don't trust Bethesda or fricking Amazon with shit. It's gonna be a lore nightmare, but the fact they pretty much dropped the Enclave in FO4 gives me the tiniest amount of hope that they won't make any more of an appearance than a reference to Navarro.
Leaks show Enclave scientists.
They are definitely in it.
>It's another "writers have no idea how long 200 years actually is" episode
For frick's sake
>Kyle MacLachlan and Walton Goggins will bring everything under control
Daaaamn I didn’t know they got MacLachlan, going to be an overseer or what? I might be in. Gonna suck so bad. Would be nice if it was a hit and made bethesda stop squandering that 10/10 aesthetic.
Who's the better writer Jonathan or Chris?
She's hot. Wonder why I never heard of her.
She was in Sneeder's zombie flick (which I never finished because it made my eyes hurt).
Ella Purnell big eyes, sad breasts
>sad breasts
In what way?
She should have massaged them more when she was younger to make them grow
>granny breasts
oof
Jonathan, just look at Tenet to see what happens when he isn’t around
but didn't he write later seasons of Westworld?
they just cant fricking help themselves, can they?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 33 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
frick off moron
I don't get it.
King-Kill/33
take your meds pronto
Of course they might end up using the obvious eye illumanti sign in photos.
You're obviously a freemason anon, stay mad. :p
FROG QUEEN HOT
Is that the sassy girrlboss that's gonna save humanity?
>checked the show thread on Cinemaphile
>Cinemaphileirgins are seetheting because protag is a woman
>coming from the same people who always play Fallout 4 as a woman due to coomer mods
Embarassing.
So naturally the protagonist must be a woman for the show.
>westworld
DROPPED HARD
Will they also have the goody stuff like regrowing a new limb?
Todd lost
Chris avellone won
Good Vault Meat there.
They're going to disney wars the shit out of this, Vault woman is going to be the hyper competent girlboss and brotha'hood black guy is going to be her hypeman.
You're going to see twitter tards defending the girl being a mary sue because in the games you play as a vault dweller that can change the world on his own, but that kind of shit doesn't work on live-action.
>he didn't see the timeloop episode where the protagonist has a 6% chance to pass a speech check and wastes 45 minutes quicksaving and quickloading for 15 extra bottlecaps
>google eva purnell
hey she cute
cute!
>crude prison tier tattoo
dropped
Isn’t this the girl that got insanely robbed by homies and then was completely tiptoeing around it and not trying to blame anyone? Think nonwhites even came for her on social media for it, for getting robbed.
Don't google her breasts.
man whoever it was on this site that told me the industry is panicking and desperately (and far too late) trying to chase down the popularity of games
i fricking kneel
I won’t watch the Black person show.
frogfu!!! frick yeah
How much DEI BIPOC LGBTQPB2%8+ representation will be in it?
>TV show is confirmed canon to the game's storyline in the reveal article
>it takes place in California
So there is a chance we might see this in a future season, right?
and the Legion
Depend of the setting of the show like, what year is it?
bethesda is doing an west coast story? this is going to be way worse than any of us can imagine, they maged to frick the lore of the original games from the other side of the country, God knows how they'll destroy it from up close.
bethesda is not really doing anything with this show
because people want to see fo3/4/nv stuff
>TV show is confirmed canon to the game's storyline
So the west coast Brothehood got their vertibirds where exactly? it's canon in NV that the New California Republic got the enclaves fleet and the brothehood got fricked 5 ways from sunday.
>the brothehood got fricked 5 ways from sunday
uwu, my bussy is tingly
Found 'em. In a big uh cave. That's where they were.
You give the brotherhood the vertibird plans in FO2. Not too far fetched to say that a tech cult could produce a few once they had accurate plans to work with.
What are the odds the MC is both a girl boss and a lesbian?
looks lame and safe
enjoy your slop
Atp I'd pay for a Cinemaphile where every thread is about great shows and kino and anons maintain a pretend timeline and everything is white enough and attractive
>10 images
>1 Black person
Promising.
my main concern is them overblowing how big the BoS is and the overall adherence to the repulsive fo4 art design which just is awful. Or the t45, which showed a scrappy underfunded brotherhood using police tier power armor to the t60, which was meant to be t45 but was overdesigned so much they said frick it its its own thing and also existed before the war.
>muh t45
>muh t60
n o b o d y
c a r e s
Plenty of people do they just don’t know the names of them autistically. This power armor is ugly and gay. The old one is menacing and cool. Simple as
Do we dare speak of the PA added by Fallout 76?
I swear to frick, if we ever see fricking hellcat power armor again.
>NCR realizes that it's kind of dumb to discriminate against ghouls because they probably have more scientific ke technical knowledge than most other morons living in the wastes
>instantly becomes foremost power in the West
It's that easy, huh? Vault City chuds still seething.
Meanwhile, in reality
how w*ke is it going to be
No
YOU GOTTA DO BETTER, OVERSEER
What the frick was his problem?
too fricking based for this world
>creates hippies
vault dweller a cute. CUTE
shut your prostitute mouth, you wanker. randall clark not only did nothing wrong, he was one of the few bona fide heroes of the wasteland
>a throwaway backstory in an undercooked DLC is one of the best in the series
Pure kino.
His problem is being one of the best stories in Fallout despite being just a random old npc
We're so back
>the girls bathroom
ah yes the olden days
Because when I think 1950s retrofuture, I think ethnically ambiguous mystery meat woman.
She's Bri*ish.
the Wayside youtube series NukaBreak had better makeup and props 15 years ago on a youtube budget than Amazon has?
Well, you see, the Wayside youtube series NukaBreak wasn't a money laundering operation.
>female protagonist
>Mediocre show that will inevitably get worse
>morons will still pay to watch it in the hopes that it will get better
>"Why is it getting shittier?"
what the frick is the obsession with the brotherhood of steel? they're the most generic group of dipshits in all of fallout, even in 1 and 2 they were so bland and uninteresting and yet everything fallout has to be centered around them.
because they are cool, everyone want to wear the armor and rape the wasteland
Go back to your English class
not an argument dreamboy
>I want to wear the armor and rape the wasteland
that is what the enclave is there for. they look way more stylish too at that
nooo you have to be a troony and wear skirts like the caesar legion!
the clue is at one of the very first promo materials released for f3. It started describing BoS as the "steel knights of the wasteland"
just like super muties became the green orcs and ghouls more or less generic zombies you talked to from time to time
Bethesda is creativly bankrupt
>DUDE WHOLE WORLD USES BOTTLE CAPS
>DUDE PEOPLE STILL LIVE LIKE THE BOMBS HIT YESTERDAY
>DUUDE BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL OMG EPIC KNIGHTS IN ARMOR
So the vault dweller is a b***h?
Yeah I'm out.
Looks like it's taking itself way too seriously
Its a chick, is she gay and lame?
haha memes! am I right? haha
I'm worried the Elder Scrolls series will be a bigger shitshow than The Witcher
The dweller is a woman? ..at least she looks good. I want to frick this protagonist finally.
I hope Michael Dorn gets a cameo
>cute girl MC
Alright I'll pirate the first episode at least
Dumb frogposter
XBAX INSTALL NUDE MOD
Are stream piggies incapable of feeling embarrassment for the slop they help fund or something
Not interested unless the main girl has an interracial romance.
maybe it won't be total trash
>boring brown haired female protag
>Black person sidekick
Man this shit is half worrying and half decent at the same time.
>The main character is cute, but she's female which is the worst option for any fallout protag
>It's East Coast which is garbage, but it's post-Lyons so it's slightly fricking better
>Obvious love interest is a Black person, but it might be balanced by fricking Goggins as a ghoul
I don't even fricking know what to think
>>It's East Coast
It's set in "Los Angeles" (guess Boneyard got retconned lol lmao)
>It's set in "Los Angeles" (guess Boneyard got retconned lol lmao)
Idk, Boneyard used to be LA Boneyard so it's not entirely lore incorrect, but no one would call it Los Angeles outside of pre-war ghouls probably like Raoul with Two Sun.
it looks so fricking tacky
The fact that Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan are married yet her name isn't Lisa Nolan is all I need to know honestly.
looks kinda shit
hope it's good for ella's sake, she's an underrated actress that deserves a breakout role
SMOOTHSKIN WITH A homosexual SMOOTHSKIN SON
FROG QUEEN
I want to watch the seethe from casual fans when the show portrays the Brotherhood as elitist tech buttholes
FO4 already did that
oh
I never played FO4
Didn't 3 do that?
>female lead
not interested and thank god that rumored TES show never got made.
If this does well you can bet your britches TES is next
do you think the actress is aware of all the vault meat mods and fanarts haha just wondering
>Adapting a fallout 4 story into a series
Do these amazon boomers realize people do not play fallout for the story?
there is no story in fallout games, you just stumble from one place to the next looking for a mcguffin. sometimes it just happens to be a relative, or some guy who shot you in the head, it doesnt matter, point is the universe is basically a blank slate as far as writing for tv goes.
>This is only true in Bethesda fallout.
*if you only play New Vegas
>
the main question is
how often am I going to ring my bell?
Many times, oddly enough fallout never seemed to lean into the fact that their universe would've been 90 % white. The Fallout universe is a vision of the future seen through 50's eyes so why would that vision only extend to technology?
I can't believe a single vault wouldn't have ethnically cleansed all the undesirables to ensure a better chance at rebuilding society.
>Female protag
