Who is gonna die first?
I'm having a hard time imagining anyone biting it, the season is strangely slow. But not in a bad way.
My money is on Gator.
i know he's not a main character, but Indira's husband has to be a goner
Probably gonna get a golf club to the head.
Bump btw
tumble her in the hidey hole
Is he Dougie Jones'd or not, bros?
HE IS HE IS DOUGIE JONES'D
Episode 4 was amazeballs. The whole pancake monologue made me lol.
This but unironically.
Highlights and explains munchs view of survival, freedom and debt perfectly, and also has a nice nod to the movie 🙂
>tfw you will never go to pancakes house with gaear grimsrud
weakest bait i've ever seen in my life
>It's a Lorraine episode
Wtf? Is that Josto Fadda?
who is the narrator?
Jason Scwartzmann
Is season 5 worth watching
I got burned out after season 3
Guy my cream soda tastes funny, should I keep drinking it?
didn't even know a new season was out. the trailer looks pretty bad tbh. normally love fargo.
any good so far?
Too early to say but I think it's on par with the first two seasons, depends if it shits the bed going forward.
alright. sounds good enough then. will snag some torrents .
its better than 3 and 4 so far in my opinion
So..Dot CAN see the future then?
no, that was tactical analysis, she was trying to work out the best way to get out of that situation
>What a day
Cant pester the lester
I know we b***h about this every week but Fargo is the only show I watch on network/cable and the the commercials have been absolutely outrageous
It kills me. Only show i still watch on network. It's worth it though.
It's $50 extra to stick it up a Tijuana hooker's ass btw.
It's crazy how Hamm plays Roy as being so righteous while also being such a fricking shithead
people who think they're righteous are the biggest shitheads on the planet
also, glad that all of the scenes from the episode teaser are already over. makes me excited for the rest of the ep
Something tells me Lorraine is gonna get merc'd. Which is sad because JJL is getting me hard every scene she's in.
Jennifer Jason Leigh is serving c**t! *hands clapping emoji*
its succulent
You guys think Danish and Lorraine are frickin'
Probably more of a foot licking situation.
oh my
Gehardt theme remix? Lets go
Are the FBI agents this seasons version of the sidekicks like the twins from season 2 or Wrench & Numbers? I kinda like the change up but they have absolutely zero charisma or charm
feels like we're finally kicking off baby! great segment
feels like Key and Peele from S1 but less charisma and more competent
Eh, not really. They strike me as more of a similar theme to Key and Peele in S1, funnily enough also Fargo office FBI.
I think Munch and Donny where the duo stand in- just cut short in ep1.
I don't think S4 even had a duo. Did it?
The lesbian bank robbers, who were the shittiest part of that entire wash of a season
Oh frick you're right. Must be a repressed memory. Dyke kissing and farting jokes.
Ask and you shall recieve
I think Gator & his rotating unit of cop buddies are the “duos” of this season. He had that fat cop that Munch killed, the two who went with him to take Dot back, and now he’s got the black guy Roy assigned to him
I feel like we're supposed to regard them as naive. All of their comments are inane authoritarian jingoism about enforcing the law no matter what like its a religion. That said in the modern world where Hollywood is increasingly trying to sell us on an increasingly authoritarian Democratic party maybe they are supposed to be the good guys.
I'm really not clear on the degree to which Dem party orthodoxy has destroyed Noah Hawley's creativity. Fargo season 1 through 3 all had a degree of nuance to them that generally avoided anything as ham fisted as labeling any particular voting bloc "the bad guys" with the possible exception of Bruce Campbell's Reagan cameo. But then season 4 went woke pretty hard to the extent that I gave up on it by episode 4 and now in season 5 we've got a Christian conservative sheriff and an undefined right wing/libertarian militia set up as the antagonists. So who knows.
And to clarify I'm alright with the conservatives being the bad guys even if it is beating a dead horse so long as there is some nuance to it. The Sheriff's hot tub speech to the feds which I almost completely agreed with gave me some hope that Hawley isn't going to go full propaganda and tell me I should love Feds, spooks and the Federal government and fear the evil white men conspiring to overthrow our beloved authorities; but time will tell.
stream nao please and thanks
Need more of that mystery meat lady cop. She is hot.
What the frick, season 5 is already airing??
How is this season compared to the previous seasons?
1>3=2>5>major gap>4
So far I would put it about the same as season 3.
So personally i like it more than season 1 and less than season 2
Lorraine letting her pretentious accent slip was a nice little bit there at the end
Do you guys have any theories as to why discussion of thos show is pretty much dead on Cinemaphile?
Season 1 and 2 had hella threads, 3 was a bit more calm. And 4 threads where full of bumplimit shitposting threads.
But 5 only gets 1 livethread every week.
It’s not like it’s a yearly show.
I can't tell ya, but every thread it seems 3 or 4 new people realize the season has already started
yes, precious victories like:
>burning her house down
>causing her husband serious neurological damage
>having the tillmans, the fbi and t he real cops out to get her
i havent really been here for awhile but Cinemaphile 6-9 years ago was different too
Season 1 and 2 were great tv. Season 3 was solid but generally more divisive and less appreciated. Season 4 was pretty blatantly woke which inspired the normal sort of shit posting you get from the usual suspects on both sides.
And now season 5 is less blatantly woke; but also not of the same quality as season 1 and 2 so you're looking at a divisive season of debatable quality like season 3 after a season that alienated much of the audience with woke proselytizing. Its neither blatantly horrible or woke enough to generate mass shit posting like season 4 nor pure kino like season 1 and 2 so naturally the enthusiasm has been curbed.
Well said. What a shame. A part of me likes that it's underground, still feels like a little secret club i can enjoy once a week every few years.
Another lart of me feels it's absolutely moronic that it doesn't have more buzz.
Oh well.
See you fellas next week.
Dot's continued victories are getting annoying, even Malvo had occasional setbacks
17 when she married the sheriff, left after 2 years of marriage, sherrif said she was missing for 7 years, thus she is 26??
she was missing for longer than that, maybe 10 years. 7 years is what lorraine said was how long it takes a missing person to be considered dead
also, great ep but
>no Munch
>still nothing for Witt
they better be front and center next ep (they won't be)
Big immortal munch episode next week looks like
Was not expecting Jason Schwartzman. I love when they bring back old actors for narration. We need David Thewlis or Yuri next.
>movie theme in episode 5
Is that supposed to mean this is like a spiritual finale ?
>Jon Hamms character is a pedophile conservative Christian who took a young virgin bride at 15
How did I know
Only in america.
This was the best way they could’ve done it. It made no sense why he would go to such lengths to bring an ex wife back to him, now with him going for office it does
She can snitch him out for being a pedo who trafficked her to be his bride. He’s trying to tie up loose ends
he's going for reelection so he's already in the position for a huge scandal to drop. i think it's more likely he was truthful with Lorraine. He very simply sees Dot as his property and wants her back.
I definitely didn't see Dot trusting indira like that coming. Interesting twist.
Music is great this season.
This episode in particular had a great score. Almost present constantly throughout every scene. It was unusual.
Liking it more or less but something about it feels really familiar and not just that it's 1/3 Sleeping With The Enemy. I mean I feel like I've seen almost this exact plot right down to most of the beats sans the side characters.
