buff alex ross characters look the best. i never liked how sometimes he depicted heroes with average every-day bodies. it's better for comics to kind of embrace the absurd things that they are.
I would say 90s Batman hits the sweet spot for me, but that might be because those were the first comics I read when i actually got into the hobby. knightfall and no man's land were the first comic book 'events' i ever read.
Same here. I actually skipped Knightfall and ended up with Knightquest as the first Batman story I ever read, and while most of it are 90s excesses, I still love those stories and Jean-Paul Azrael to this day, and the general early-mid 90s depiction of Batman is the first thing I think of when I think of the character.
interesting that such interesting things in comics were happening when I was born. then I had to spend about 25 years being interested in other stuff before I finally get obsessed with comics.
Spawn started in 1992 when I was born. gives me this weird connection that only now i appreciate.
In general, 80's- early 2000's was the best time for most of these characters. As a teenager int he 2000's I spent a lot of time catching up with cheap backissues when you could get them for a quarter. 1970's-2000's feels like there's progress
It's why I feel if they ever make an attempt at following comics linearly in animation, they should just follow Batman from post crisis until the Morrison run.
What the hell is this garbage?
is this a legit bot on Cinemaphile never thought I would see the day where people shitpost like this on here the way they do on /b/
