to this??...
Easy, scot Gimple. The show was pretty great, far better than The Walking Dead and actually watchable until he decided to come over and trash all plotlines to do a soft reboot making it just as shitty as the original show.
>scot Gimple
Correlation is not causation
If the correlation is 0.85 then it is statistically significant
Shitty writing.
is there any show that has Season 1 vibes that is good?
>small cast
>surviving an event like TWD or The Road
>tense and well written
>NOT just characters splitting up for a whole season and trying to find each other, which is every season of the TWD past S3
>actually sticking together and spending time with one another
no one, probably not even the op of this thread gives even a morsel of shit about this moronic bargin bin 2 ticket chuck e cheese prize piece of shit show, not at the beginning and certainly not now.
>not at the beginning and certainly not now.
False, the first three seasons were good. Then Gimple came in and turned it into the same trash as TWD.
Incorrect. S1 was trash. End of story.
Not true.
and
are right. It was really great in the beginning. The main problem both shows have is their cast size. As soon as either show got past its core group, it went to total shit.
The group in Atlanta with Rick Grimes, Shane "Muhaskyoosumminrigg" Walsh, Daryl, Merle, T-Dog, Dale, Chinaman, Carl, etc was pure kino. Cut forward to to a sprawling 3 or 4 community network, with the likes of Oceanside, which seems to be Lesbian Innsmouth, and Hilltop where people are just doing yardwork, to Alexandria which is Amish people with spears, and other shit locations.
FTWD is the same. Three families with their differences and conflicts. One has a junkie son, another has a murdering vigilante that had to flee El Salvador or wherever, and the third family is just the first kinda because it is the ex-wife and kid from the last marriage so they all hate each other. High drama. Now its weird cowboy larping and evil dictator Strand, and supply run supply run supply run supply run.
>affirmative action the show
I tried to watch a few eps but it was too woke, all white women saviors, all black sidekicks, all white male villains.
The guy in the op was the Mexican from Training Day and the other guy was the Mexican from Predator 2. Both are pretty based actors.
>the Mexican from Training Day
he's a maori who spent his career playing arab terrorists
He is kino
Victor (gay black guy) and Daniel (literal right wing death squad hitman from South America) are the most based characters in Fear.
>Victor
>based
No, he is a slimeball and I always hated his slick conman ways. He should have been shot after the dam blew up. The Hispanic is based though.
WHERE'S MY AXE?!
Frick, I have so much catching up to do with this series.
Seriously don't bother, unless you are like me, a completionist. I am watching ONLY because I have some compulsion too finish shows.
the last likeable character on the show
That's only because that actor is kino. Any other actor and the character would come off as cringe
Of course, Dillahunt is a charmer in everything I ever saw him in.
It's not his fault anon, he didn't write it. He was in a couple of seasons already before that moronic shit happened. Leave Dorie alone.
yeah it wasn't his fault
the axe splitting a bullet scene though...
I agree that the first 3 seasons were good, but the time jumping/moving to Mexico pissed me off. I want to see in exquisite detail the fall of the United States, simple as.
Watch Jericho.
I know I downloaded it some months ago, I should really give it a chance one of these days.
Show is sold as a prequel to the zombie apocalypse where we can watch the collapse but proceeds to speed run that and just turns into western TWD. Doubles down on that and like anon said turns into a soft reboot killing off all actual good original characters.
Rolling for Buzz Lightyear wizard
if you think this show is bad, wait till you watch that other TWD spinoff in manhattan
also rollin

The show had no direction and no budget so it just went after gay ass cosplay fans.
Gimple, executive meddling, actors leaving willingly, no real direction of understanding of what made people like the original seasons. I hope they can at least tie the loose ends in a way that doesn't suck.
That is the exact moment when we lost the show. Early on in season 4, Nick dies. That was the end.
It was such a lame death too same with travis and chris.
I literally cannot even remember their deaths. The show should have ended with Nick. The group is falling apart, Nick is lay dead, Alicia forges Charlie, and Morgan who has just turned up says "I know a safe place" and then they imply a journey to Alexandria.
>forges
forgives*
Where is Charlie? The wiki claims Alexa is still in, but Charlie was already on the verge of death 7 years prior to Season 8. I'm half expecting her to show up as a 20-year old irradiated skinless ghoul straight out of Fallout.
There is a 7 year skip from S7 to S8??
I am not caught up but I don't know how they will do that.
On the wiki, all but 4 or 5 characters are mentioned as "Fate Unknown"
The indian guy kept saying how much he hated guns during a zombie apocalypse
Who? The red Indians? They were packing. You mean the Maori.
He lived in the nogunz capital of America.
How walking dead shows are still beang made?
CORAL
Just FYI, half the cast (Alicia, Luciana, Charlie, truckers) is MIA, Morgan left the group in the mid-season finale to go back ot Virginia and Madison is currently leading an army of child soldiers to hopefully find new places to settle.
What about Strand? Did they kill him off yet?
Oh yeah, he's also MIA. Apparently wasn't even with the other rafts that arrived, so he likely strayed off course or returned for Alicia. We see Alicia's and Strand's items in the stinger, so probably the latter.
What is the reasoning behind this? Have all the other got better shit to do and asked to be written out or something?
>What is the reasoning behind this? Have all the other got better shit to do and asked to be written out or something?
I don't actually know. I think maybe they were trying to focus on half the characters (Morgan, Mo, Madison, June, Daniel, Dwight, Sherry) the first half of the season and they'll focus more on the other half the next one.
>Is this new Dead City thing any fricking good or what?
Yes, it's really fricking good so far.
>I don't actually know. I think maybe they were trying to focus on half the characters (Morgan, Mo, Madison, June, Daniel, Dwight, Sherry) the first half of the season and they'll focus more on the other half the next one.
That sounds moronic beyond belief. If they had just killed a bunch off in the last few episodes of the season and got down to 7 or 8 fan favourites it might work.
>That sounds moronic beyond belief. If they had just killed a bunch off in the last few episodes of the season and got down to 7 or 8 fan favourites it might work.
There's not actually that many. There's Morgan and Mo (who just left), Grace (who just got done in), Sherry and Dwight (whose arc is over), and what we're left with rn is Madison, Daniel and June as the main actors.
>Morgan and Mo (who just left),
Thank god, hate that fricker so much.
DEAD CHADS.....
Is this new Dead City thing any fricking good or what?
I've been enjoying it.
Nobody told me Alicia wasnt gonna be in the first half of this season, her booty shots are the only reason to watch
I hope that the sex video she has supposed to have filmed get leaked.
she's too pure for that
Morgan is back though.
>Morgan is back though.
He left mid-season, at most we'll see him in some stinger at the end.
Chris and Nick abruptly dying killed the show for me. Especially Nick since he was my favorite character in the entire WD cast.
yeah I loved him too. he dies in the 3rd epsiode of season 4 and the rest of the season should have been Morgan leading them back to Virginia or something. the show should have ended there and they should have been seen arriving on the road with a bunch of other survivors in TWD's finale, Morgan welcomed back by Ezekiel and given a place in the Commonwealth.
this whole franchise is literally a walking corpse now.
>11 seasons, 3 spinoffs with 3 more announced.
meanwhile everyone stopped giving a frick about the show after season 5-6
>"Rick, we really are The Walking Dead"
I forgot this show existed. I quit watching during whatever season Scott Gimple came in and turned everything on its head. Gonna have to read some summaries now to see just how dumb things got.
stopped watching FTWD before season 5. the first 3 seasons were fricking kino and then turned to shit when the old cast were reintroduced
smd frickl you
