Tony met her in high school, he wasn't a murderer back then.

He most definitely was. I don't remember which one says it but they reminisce teenage tony as a savage that could do everything. His family was involved in the mob and involved him pretty early so she definitely met him as a mob initiate and loved that.

The ep when Tony and Paulie goes on the lamb states that tony got his bones for his first killing in 1983, roughly when Tony was in his 20's.

But he didn't get into that life the night before. He was a very serious player and the son of a well known wise guy. Guy who saw his potential when tony was nothing but a toddler. If he was not killing in his teens he was at least robbing like the card game ralphie talks about. It's clear she liked him exactly because he was a bad boy and not despite it

          >a very serious player

His dad put him early in the business. If ralphie story is true he was robbing mob games in his very youth. What do you think a mob leader was doing in his early teens, homework? Everybody that knew him in his youth talks about a feared guy around the block

I'm not the moronic homosexual who thinks Tony was killing people as a teenager.

            >If ralphie story is true he was robbing mob games in his very youth
It was never implied they were highschool kids. Probably more like 20 or 21. Seeing as Ralph says that was what put them on the fast track to being made, and with Tony making his first kill a couple of years later, that makes sense.

21 is two years behind 19 man. If they had the audacity to rob some made man's game they were at least robbing people daily. Whatever age carmella met tony he wasn't being a good boy. homosexual

Your point being what, junior? Tony's mickey mouse "crew" were just young trouble makers selling dope and doing petty robberies at best. There's a big difference between that and the highschool hit man you seem to think he was.

                Anonymous

He was up to no good is my point. And carmella loved it. Maybe if she just fancied him as a petty robber and then left him when he became a more serious criminal she'd have an excuse but she stuck with a man that was becoming worse daily. Had kids with him. She loved tony being a mafia dude and especially liked that he was the leader of it all. That's my point

He was the same guy he just hadn't made his bones yet. They mention several times how young Carm got horny off seeing Tony perform feats of strength and aggression (beating what's his face in the parking lot, lifting her up). She's always enjoyed the perks of being the wife of a mob-type guy, as a young girl it was the image, as an older woman it was the money.
Carm b***hes constantly but she had plenty of time to walk away, and when she does she comes back. She always looked through her fingers at Tony's business, trying to delude herself into thinking she was a victim of it rather than his accomplice.

One of the themes of the show is Italian catholic success being very different from traditional WASP success and how the descendants of South Euro immigrants were negatively judged for their ostentation.

I manage a bunch of commercial properties and have to pay each plow business like $2500 a month each site. The sooner you start the contract (I start them in August) the higher priority you get.

Well that was the facade. That she was some kind of trad white. In reality she absolutely loved tony's power and she knew it and he knew she knew. If tony were a salesman they would never even dated because tony's life of crime started in his teenage years.
Basically she's a narcissistic person who needs the best of both worlds. The power and respect of being a mob wife AND the feeling of being an exemplar catholic family within the community. If you watch the other mob wife are much more grounded to reality.

Shes an Italian woman. Italians, especially Italian Americans, are amongst the dumbest people on the planet, now imagine how bad it is when you throw a woman into the mix?
They can literally justify themselves as being a good person despite profiting off of murder, stealing, kidnapping, money lending, drugs, because they gave $20 to the collection plate that week so they are good with god.
Never underestimate the absorbed lengths an Italian can go with reasoning why half the shit they commit is "Not that bad."
