Writers had noo idea what to do with her honestly, she baited everyone at the start to think she was some kind of Mary Sue and then loses every important fight of the series unless everybody is helping her.
Pretty much nothing Korra did throughout her show was of either her own strength, physical or mental, or otherwise done with the help of the friends she made of her own accord
Everything was kinda just tossed at her and she got shit done by having it done for her either by people who just decided she's cool so they gotta stick around her despite her hardly caring back for them or forming any real relationships, complete randos, people in power, people who don't even know her, sometimes they fricking universe itself, or even straight up past avatars coming in like "sup b***h lemme getchu sorted"
Huh, then I guess this really was avatar for women then. Because that tends to be how a lot of their fiction goes. Everything happens to and around them and problems are solved by other people they have relationships with
you'll start noticing it again and again
wish fulfillment for men is usually the opportunity to BECOME stronger or wiser or better and test said strength
wish fulfillment for women is usually to be proven to already be strong, wise, better, special or different somehow, to learn you had something unique about you all along and show the world that thats the case
>wish fulfillment for women is usually to be proven to already be strong, wise, better, special or different somehow, to learn you had something unique about you all along and show the world that thats the case
Oh, women's fiction is fascinating in that regard. They want to be both special and not special at the same time. A bland nothing person that is neither hot nor ugly that is the star princess goddess secretly. And powerful (but less powerful than mc) ultimately solve her problems.
Most of it is like that. The friends see her secret high value and then just solve the problems.
From sailor moon to the hunger games to twilight.
One interesting difference between men and women's fiction in the West is that most male relationships are pre-existing before the movie or show while the making of friends is a big part of the first few chapters. Japan is different and usually has men also making friends, which could partly explain why action anime is more popular with women than American actions shows
She is physically and technically gifted but spiritually and mentally deficient-that's the characters the writers were trying to give us. There is obviously some kind of universal appeal with Korra and they did something right, otherwise she wouldn't have the most talked about show in Cinemaphile history, and /aco/ wouldn't have had to be created to contain all the Korra smut talk and art. In fact, years after her show came out, Korra is still the face of /aco/. Perhaps the show and character being imperfect is why Korra has such a hold over all of us.
She is a tall muscular tomboy.
She's always going to be popular.
Really the problem is that writing a dumb protagonist can kill a story that is trying to have a big message.
Like you can have a dumb protagonist in a story that isn't trying to say something. So them being dumb is either funny, or just part of the experience.
But Korra the Show tried to be intellectual, but Korra the Character is too dumb and ignorant to interface with any of it in an interesting way.
She can just lose fights and arguments she should have won so she can get thrown down to rock bottom and rebuild herself, only for it all to happen again, later.
i just think it could have worked better if the first problems she could have resolved them without the spiritual/mental thing, and not for the moment one
She’s hot, that’s pretty much it. People on here are extremely horny and that tends to block critical thinking and make them ignore faults and flaws.
Pretty much this. I'm a gay and even then I'd still say she was the second hottest character on the show. I don't think I could frick her but I'd absolutely touch her muscles if she let me.
She's the kinda girl that makes me wish I went both ways.
I hate each and every show named after the MC yet he/she is a b***h and always needs friends to rescue them every fricking time. shit like the avatar and mandalorian drove me nuts
Huh, then I guess this really was avatar for women then. Because that tends to be how a lot of their fiction goes. Everything happens to and around them and problems are solved by other people they have relationships with
The fantasy is to be special, not competent or powerful.
>The fantasy is to be special, not competent or powerful.
That's true. That is the fantasy.
But it makes as much sense irl as some dude having a love harem
Like...what do women think makes them special? Like actually being worthy of being considered special must be like kryptonite to women because the main women is almost always a durpy idiot who knows plenty of other women more special than her.
And the fans know it because most of them like the side characters more.
>Actually her whole team wanted to frick her and that’s pretty funny. Poor Bolin. At least Mako got to tap that.
>Woman succeeds by amassing a bunch of talented friends that really just want to frick her
Huh, Nick put here being super honest with teen girls. I wonder if any women watched this and actually figured out why they have so many male friends they depend on
I often walked in on her changing, and despite the fact that I was extremely horny as a teenager usually just felt annoyed. It was like "oh breasts","frick it is you."
t. has a sister and is still an incestgay
you have to separate reality from desire anon. I used to think like you but now I love good old sibling love. I still would never do it with my sister, I feel no attraction towards her
>You pin Korra's ankles next to her ears, having already torn her outfit to shreds >She looks at you with fear >"P-please, it's too big!"
Your response?
People say this but realistically it's not that tough of a sell to say atla took place during the mid 1800s. The fire nation were very obviously well into an industrial revolution so the math all works out. Much of the world (including parts of Asia and Native lands) we're still just as primitive as their counterparts in atla.
They didn’t make those until 25 unfortunately and only used them for agricultural purposes, until WWII came and they were deemed to expensive and subsequently scrapped to make tanks, ships, and munitions.
Evil spirits were already finding their way over and stealing faces and shit even with the portals closed.
Reopening the portals just evens the playing field by letting us repay the favor.
they literally never gave her character or had her do anything noteworthy, Appa was an actual character
Naga is a cute design but not vital to the story ever
She was in dire need of anal correction.
God I wish that were me
Writers had noo idea what to do with her honestly, she baited everyone at the start to think she was some kind of Mary Sue and then loses every important fight of the series unless everybody is helping her.

That's why Korra has the ultimate appeal. She is so hot but also so dumb and annoying that hatefricking the shit out of her is the hottest thing.

it's more fun to ship hot underage guys together than old actors
the show wants to convince you she's a capable individual from the start, mastering the elements in young age, the training etc.
She is physically and technically gifted but spiritually and mentally deficient-that's the characters the writers were trying to give us. korranal
thing about anal with korra is even if you're topping you're still getting fricked like a b***h
Stop projecting you fetishes onto characters

She's not tall at all
5'7" / 5'8"? Not like "mommy step on me" fetish level tall but noteworthy enough to remember
i just think it could have worked better if the first problems she could have resolved them without the spiritual/mental thing, and not for the moment one

She's the kinda girl that makes me wish I went both ways.
My issue is that more people aren’t honest like you. They try to come up with excuses when saying you want to do the frick with her would suffice.
He's right you know
I hate each and every show named after the MC yet he/she is a b***h and always needs friends to rescue them every fricking time. shit like the avatar and mandalorian drove me nuts

No one likes Korra but everyone finds her attractive at least
I like her.
Shes pretty much a god she can be the biggest bawd she wants to be its her privilege, modestry is for mortals.
Sex deprivation
She didn’t frick Bo Lin but honestly that’s a good thing he’s too good for her.
But he's just perfect for Opal's chastity cage :^)
<Bolin strangled sobs>
He got a pity frick offscreen. It was horrible for all parties involved
aside of your shitty bait, I found pretty sad this series was nothing but a teen drama
Actually her whole team wanted to frick her and that’s pretty funny. Poor Bolin. At least Mako got to tap that.

>Inb4 that one anon talks about cuminflating this character until she bursts
Describe Korra's anus in as much detail as you can
prolapsed
I was hoping for descriptions of color, smell and taste, too
by?
Too overdone by the katara(korra)cuck, let's go with old man zuko, zaheer and tonraq so it's an union of the elementa.
still missing an earthbender
Polar bear dogs
Meelo
Pristine, hairless, and cute.
Gaped
Sexual desire from her past incarnation where Aang never got the chance to frick Sokka, Toph, and Zuko.
>female princess
>fricks her entire bloodline
What was her problem?
>ensured that her lineage will always be on the throne
Azula won.
Based and sisterpilled.
It was always the goal from the start.
Damn I wish I had a sister so I could not frick her, but be eternally tormented by the desire.
Damn I wish I hadn't a sister so I could be like you and find the idea of incest hot.
You never snuck a peek or borrowed her panties or anything?
I often walked in on her changing, and despite the fact that I was extremely horny as a teenager usually just felt annoyed. It was like "oh breasts","frick it is you."
t. has a sister and is still an incestgay

>You pin Korra's ankles next to her ears, having already torn her outfit to shreds
>She looks at you with fear
>"P-please, it's too big!"
Your response?
>''You gotta deal with it!''
>that is how you make more avatars
>more avatars more better
that is how you make more avatars
more avatars more better
KORRA SEXO
they look like they have relationships with women and sex with men
If it was a guy avatar would you care if that happened?
The Aang fricked only one team member and a lot of people are still satly about it.
Those are people that wanted her with Zuko
Aang would do it
He must frick the dudes too 😉
>took Kai's virginity because Jinora wouldn't put out
>Turns the avatar gay
Way to go dude.
What underwear does she normally have on? I'm thinking probably a sports bra and boyshorts
>keys and a car.
I haven't watched korra, what the actual frick?
she's snowcoon, no bras, just wrappings and nopan
it's set like 100 years later in ~1920's analogue....
it's really lame, she fights giant mecha too
they should have set it to the ~Victorian times at least, horse & carriage with just steam power... if at all, one of the may mistakes in the show
>she fights giant mecha too
Sounds incredibly stupid.
It is, but because the writing is shit, it could have been moron kino... it was not.
People say this but realistically it's not that tough of a sell to say atla took place during the mid 1800s. The fire nation were very obviously well into an industrial revolution so the math all works out. The mecha are very dumb tho yes.
The basic worldbuilding of Korra is fine. It's the characters and plots that are a trainwreck.
>not shown: giant walking mecha
They didn’t make those until 25 unfortunately and only used them for agricultural purposes, until WWII came and they were deemed to expensive and subsequently scrapped to make tanks, ships, and munitions.
kek
Why is Azula in a water tribe clothes?
>water bender
>never drinks any of it
>water bender
> in Africa
talk about wasted potential
The mecha was dumb; the 1920s setting, on its own merits, was not.
We need a another time skip to 2050.
Gender-fluid Avatar... in SPACE~!
Korra absolutely doesn't wear a bra
>Female avatar
>Literally releases a plague of evil spirits who used to hunt humans and kill them for fun
Is she literally the worst avatar ever?
Canonically, yes.
Evil spirits were already finding their way over and stealing faces and shit even with the portals closed.
Reopening the portals just evens the playing field by letting us repay the favor.
At least her and the show look good
hot
she didn't frick enough people, honestly
Are there any likeable characters in Korra? Only ones that come to mind are Lin and Tenzin, and to lesser extents Bumi and Bolin.
likeable people or compelling characters?
More compelling than likeable, but both can work. Most people aside from the ones I listed aren’t compelling or likeable.
only one
Not even the dog was likeable.
they literally never gave her character or had her do anything noteworthy, Appa was an actual character
Naga is a cute design but not vital to the story ever
avatar
you just answered your own question
Imagine Mako losing his virginity to Korra
probably came in like 2 seconds
Swamp Korra best Korra
>imagine the smell
It's a water avatar problem, kuruk apparently fricked everyone too in his time
>fricked countless women from every nation
>slayed evil spirits
>died early
my man
