Tarantula is weird because that wasn't her primary objective in the first place.
She originally was an FBI agent who was pissed off that people who needed to go to prison weren't going to prison and wanted to become a vigilante to punish/kill wrongdoers, who just happened to have a crush on Dick.
Then after Dick stopped trying to train her due to her more violent streak Devin dropped her OG MO and just made her a crazy stalker instead.
Also here's just a generic list of DC villainnesses wanting to frick the hero, starred is ones with main motive
Batman - Catwoman, Talia
Superman - Maxima*, Obsession*
Alan Green Lantern - Harlequin I (Molly)*
Hal Green Lantern - Star Sapphire
John Green Lantern - Fatality* (wasn't main motive until it was until it wasn't again)
Green Arrow - Cupid*
Nightwing - Tarantula* (wasn't main motive until it was)
Arsenal - Cheshire
Garth - Siren (a literally who who isn't Mera's sister)
Obsidian - Harlequin II (Marcie)
Captain Atom - Plastique
Superboy - Knockout* (was main motive until it wasn't)
>Obsidian - Harlequin II (Marcie)
This one wins simply because she tried to kiss him disguised as his sister, and then killed the leader of his team because she was mad he dumped her.
Molly was barely around before that. Her last major appearance was during Underworld Unleashed.

It’s honestly frustrating what Devin Grayson ended up doing with Tarantula because the early set up for her character was actually quite good! There was a real chance of her becoming a true dark mirror to Dick. As you said she was an FBI agent who was pissed off that people weren’t going to prison but she was also sick of the classism and racism of the system and knew being a vigilante would be a way to bypass that in addition to punishing the people she thought needed to go to prison. I don’t think Grayson went into her childhood that much but if had she made her poorer and having to climb her way to the top it would’ve contrasted nicely against Dick who was poorer until he suddenly wasn’t by happenchance and had opportunities fall into his lap as a result.

NOOOO MOLLY WAS SUPER IMPORTANT EVERY TIME ALAN SHOWED UP
That's what I thought, but it seems like an obvious question. Based on the premiere, it looks like they're taking Allan Scott to iceman/america chavez/apollo/midnighter levels of gay, so his wife that he has kids with might have SOMETHING to say about it.
I don't think they have the balls to have her go full villan over it.
If you're gonna pretend to be a big fan of or care about Alan a lot then maybe learn who the mother of his kids are. Because it's not Molly.

LOL. Don't be such a b***h anon. I didn't claim a thing. I'm not that up to date on his recent shit, or I wouldn't have asked. And as anon noted, it's been long enough since Molly last showed up that those comics could have bachelors degrees by now. I'm not a big fan, but I've read years of his shit.
That just means there're two people who might have something interesting to say about gay scott. So, if you know his shit, would you care to make a prediction on their respective reactions?

Well Rose has been dead for almost 40 years, since the issue that introduced her and Alan's relationship, so she'll have no reaction. And Molly has also been implied to be dead now, as when talking about women he married Alan talked in the past tense. And that's assuming their relationship is still a thing because his profile in the book of pride, if it's canon and not just some person misremembering a bunch of peoples' backstories/interests/etc, implies Rose is the only woman he married as Molly is not mentioned.

Dead isn't really what its' cracked up to be. Especially if you're friends with the specter, or people who can frick with time, like some of the Hourmen or Flash.
Alan, Jay, Ted, and Carter are the only ones with a reason for extended lifespan, and Jay's isn't a good reason.

Yes, Kwannon. But apart from that not much. Jubilee is both Asian and a mother, but she has the body of a 12 year old boy so no one counts her as an Asian MILF

Daredevil - Typhoid Mary, Elektra

Tarantula is weird because she did it all to show Dick she was good enough to be trained as a superhero despite: A.)already being a FBI agent, B.)running circles around Dick and everyone else in Bludhaven, and C.)more or less wiped out the power structure of Bludhaven organized crime when her plans started falling through. If anything Dick should have been asking her for pointers.
How is she supposed to attempt to make babies with Superman then?
They reintroduced OG Maxima who was evil because she was straight.

NOOOO MOLLY WAS SUPER IMPORTANT EVERY TIME ALAN SHOWED UP
Grayson was basically screwed over because her storyline about Tarantula was derailed by being forced to do tie-ins to a Batman crossover after all despite having been told she wouldn’t have to participate, iirc. Hence why it becomes super awkward around that time when she can’t dump the subplot but has to somehow force a tie-in story into it
This was never her main motive, it was a side benefit. Also anyone notice how Gail Simone turned her into a full card carrying villain before killing her in Secret Six?
Tarantula was a good character she deserves rehab and a redemption.
yeah, hothouse, that issue and poison ivy #1 (1997) are some of my favorite poison ivy stories. know what they all have in common? batman and ivy have the hots for each other. know why there hasn't been a classic ivy story in years? because dc had to defang her in order to pair her with harley

there were actually a couple of other instances of ivy showcasing that same ability. i'll post them because i think the art is neat (though i don't think most people would say ivy looks plain here)
The problem with Ivy is they tried turning her into muh relatable lesbian. In reality, she should still be a villain, but the way she treats Batman and the way she treats Harley - with constant seduction and manipulation, should be one and the same
There's two now. The New 52 one is the "original" that's a lesbian and the straight one is after the lesbian one and assumes her name for reasons. I think they appear in Wonder Woman but I didn't read that.
DC are such homosexuals. They turned modern Catwoman into a thot whose afraid of commitment when she should be obsessed with Batman and his number one supporter
she's not exactly afraid of commitment she just thought she would hurt him by being with him, and now there is even more manufactured drama. as always the problem is mainly editorial.
Spider-Verse antagonist ignited something like Loki or Edward Cullen did. I haven't social media this ragged over a fictional character in years, and some of it is quite concerning.
Between that and being voiced by Grey Delisle, it didn't help the comparisons people were making to Catwoman. Which sucks, since she was pretty faithful to the comics otherwise and the backstory they added just explained her madness. Batwoman had a genuine Catwoman rip-off, but no one b***hed about that.
>Obsidian - Harlequin II (Marcie)
This one wins simply because she tried to kiss him disguised as his sister, and then killed the leader of his team because she was mad he dumped her.
Spider-Man had two of them in the span of two years, Spider Queen and Miss Arrow. No idea why they showed up back-to-back like that.
Well, Miss Arrow technically wanted to kill Spider-Man more than she wanted to mate with him, but she was still obsessed with mating, just with a different guy, and she did try to lay eggs in Spidey regardless.
There's plenty of villains who've expressed interest in seducing the heroine, but none of them have that as their primary motivation except maybe Whirlwind, and he is indeed a creep.
Are there any examples where the hero wants to sleep with villain but, the villain is oblivious or simply not into it. So no romance like Catwoman or Black Cat.
Lesbo Maxima is cute and her getting friendzoned by Kara continues the tradition of her predecessor. Now we need a bisexual one that bags Conner and Power Girl and the other two get jealous.
When it comes to Batman's primary love interests, in the grand scheme of his mythos, we are really only talking about Selina Kyle and Talia al Ghul. His other love interests are either not firmly-tied/coupled to his mythos (e.g. Wonder Woman, Zatanna) or are ultimately minor characters/romances (e.g. Silver St. Cloud) within the mythos. If we are not being wild and insane, you can probably have three distinctly Superman characters as love interests for Clark/Superman: >1) Lois Lane

Make her an anti-villain who semi-regularly fights alongside Superman. Whilst she is still drawn to Superman as a mate, in the process of fighting alongside him they both develop feelings for the other. You could do something about Clark being unsure if these feelings are romantic or just sexual.
Superman is a perfect man and would never cheat of have bastard children. Even though every nation on Earth and even several alien races he has helped would gladly toss women at hi to help rebuild a new kryption.
Tarantula is weird because that wasn't her primary objective in the first place.

Inhuman haunted Sentinels?
You could say the same of Cyclops and the Phoenix Five era. Obviously every now and then some writer is going to pull some shit, but it's temporary.
For Iron Man there was also Kathy Dare.
She wasn't exactly a villain but she came as close to killing Tony as anyone ever has

I wish that Molly had been more important. Seems like a missed opportunity given the mentorship angle of the JSA to not have a villain's perspective.

Tarantula was a good character she deserves rehab and a redemption.
I would love for her to come back, but that will never happen. Probably not even as a villain. She's pretty permanently tainted.
Is she the same female villain who stock Green Arrow and replaced Harley Quinn in the TV show?
Yeah. Kreisberg really wanted to push his OC out there, yet not as shamelessly as Eric Wallace did with Allegra.
Shame they made her a lesbian when they did new 52
How is she supposed to attempt to make babies with Superman then?
probably not as obsessive as maxima, but i do miss when ivy was a love interest for batman before they turned her into a lesbian
Not really a love interest since it's one side.
eh, you know what i meant
you can tell it's year one/two Batman because he's drawn as sort of athletic/lithe. Instead of his standard Sprang circus strongman look
Peak batman if you ask me

I love Maxima
It's funny how Maxima gets off to gladiator Superman and Lois is getting banged by him in his Warworld costume.
Maxima has superior genetics to Lois in everywhere, it’s actually insane Clark didn’t choose her
kek
Some versions of the Amazons want to rape dudes, as a eugenic to have stronger children.
Anyone's got that rape scene from Invincible?
This obviously doesn't go the other way, does it? If a villain's primary motive is to seduce the heroine, he's just kind of a creep usually.
I think there's a practical good guy of the Joker called The Creeper who has a crush on Harley Quinn who's not mentioned in a few bigger continuities.
wasn't New 52 Maxima changed into a lesbian and wanted Supergirl
That's the new one. The other is still around.
How many of these "that wasn't Character, real Character was me all along" are there now?
It's a surprisingly old trope. Usually used to bring back a character or give the identity to someone new. Xorn and Nubo come to mind.
Nu52 really made that a necessity
Of course it would have been easier to say "this wasn't the real universe all along"
What a ham-fisted retcon that sort of thing is.
Lesbo Maxima is cute and her getting friendzoned by Kara continues the tradition of her predecessor. Now we need a bisexual one that bags Conner and Power Girl and the other two get jealous.
Should Superman just frick Maxima?
Only if Lois Lane watches.
>no one's drawn a good Superman harem porn comic
Superman being devoted to Lois is the worst thing that happened to him, he should be having harems even more then Batman
>he should be having harems even more then Batman
Who should be in it?
Batman
When it comes to Batman's primary love interests, in the grand scheme of his mythos, we are really only talking about Selina Kyle and Talia al Ghul. This, despite every single women being willing to jump on the Superdick, he sticks to his true love.
I liked that one latina thief who overtly flirted with Superman just to fluster him. Encantadora I think?
>cool female villain for Superman
>becomes a hero
>then never used again
will this happen to Silver Banshee too?
Silver Banshee has been "reformed" before, just wait for the next continuity reboot and she'll be back to trying to kill Supergirl.
I count Terry Long, aka Marv Wolfman. He basically 4th Wall Purple Man'd Wonder Girl.
