gay
That's a brapper.
wrong board idiot
Cinemaphile relevant enough now?
Gonna need the names of 2 and 3 anon
>tifa
>a filthy degenerate poo
KYS!
> She is of White-Caucasian ethnicity
She's lebbo
>wrong board idi-OH NO, NOT AGAIN
PITS
Ass
Keep em coming boys
Man, I wouldn’t mind overpowering and raping her, if you catch my meaning.
I want to ravage that ass with my dick, if you know what I mean.
>bare feet
A little too lewd and nude for a blue board
isn't she like 4'10"?
STAHP!
I want to literally cum inside her anus, if you catch my drift.
Damn, ok.
>blonde hair
>black eyebrows
Explain. How is this possible?
It's called genetics. Also that isn't black.
It's weird that part of me likes her VA and other parts of me want to strangle her.
this guy are sick
Hi ESL!
God you're moronic. Shit like this is why I'm distancing myself from rightwingers.
Shut the frick up you turd world homosexual.
Someone hasn't played the original
ESLs in the AGP thread? I won’t believe it.
Shame she's an obnoxious pro-trans SJW, though that's to be expected from a Californian girl.
It makes me sad that i'll never have a white woman of this caliber in my life
>caliber
She has no breasts and is an annoying liberal attention prostitute.
I prefer big breasts but little ones are fine too. Also most women are attention prostitutes it's in their nature especially the ones who act. As for being liberal i don't care because i'm a centrist but a strong personality and some good dick can cure that.
>no breasts
She has perfectly acceptable C cup breasts you mindbroken, porn-addicted coomerbrain
Her VA is fine, I don't know why people wanna b***h and moan about it for. Also it's still the same chick in Rebirth and it will stay that way. Now if you really wanna complain about a shit voice actor, Zack's is fricking dogshit.
She's extremely bubbly and self-righteous that rubs me the wrong way, almost like a brat who acts cheeky to get "punished", except her character is dead serious about her feminine new age "feel good" convictions.
Who the frick is Aerith? You mean Aeris? Do you have a lisp?
Its always been Aerith, even in side material for FF7 back in the 90s they had it as Aerith in Japan. The only place it isn't Aerith is the localized versions of FF7. I suppose Earth sounds like you have a lisp too, might as well start saying Ears. Get over it.
>in Japan
Who cares? We're not in Japan.
>back in the 90s they had it as Aerith in Japan
Well seeing how the "th" sound doesn't even exist in Japanese that's pretty fricking interesting. Probably the fault of the moronic Jap who was told to find the correct Romaji for エアリス and just winged it with this dumbass spelling. Japanese people who say her name pronounce it with a clear "s" sound.
Funny enough, Japanese people basically pronounce Earth as Ass because of this
, no th sound. Either way, it's pretty clear that it's supposed to be a Th, but Japanese vocab is weird when it comes to that and most older games translated things pretty literally.
Regardless of what it's supposed to be, you are correct, it's been Aerith in more material and way longer than it has been Aeris.
It's Aeris in the American release of FF7 and that's the only thing that matters. This is an American website. Frick off with your globalist moronation.
Nah you're a gay baby, it was a mistranslation and it has been Aerith in every iteration ever since
Aerith is a mistake, it should've been Aeris from day one but the jap moron who transliterated it fricked it up
>Transliterated
Your grasp on English is the same as the understanding of Japanese from the translator that called her aeris
look up the definition of "transliterate" right now you ESL moron. I used it accurately.
What do you mean "it's supposed to be a th" when the whole concept of the sound a th represents is alien to Japanese people? The localization had it right, spelling it Aeris, because what the frick kind of names end in "th" anyway? Unless it was deliberately chosen because it looks and sounds moronic in English, and they were making some kind of statement or something.
You're either trolling or moronic, it's supposed to sound like Earth because of her whole gimmick
it doesn't sound remotely like "Earth", not in English or Japanese.
>what the frick kind of names end in "th" anyway?
Elizabeth
Gwyneth
Keith
Kenneth
Seth
...
If you say Aerith it's because you are either a zoomy that didn't play the og FF7 on PSX or a weeb.
I will never understand this lisp logic. Tons of words and names end in th, it's not hard to say.
Yes, lots of words and names end in -th, but Aeris isn't one of them, so you would have to have a lisp to make it sound that way.
Except it is Aerith, it's been that way for 20 years my dude.
And it's been Aeris for 26. You lose.
>KH series
>AC
>DoC
>CC
>FF7Remake
>FF7Rebirth
>literally every single FF7 related content that has come out since FF7 has had it as Aerith
It's Aerith now, again, it's been 20 years, time to move on.
It's Aeris in the original source material now and forevermore. Ports and adaptations getting it wrong will never change that. Do you think that when a movie adaptation of a book changes something that means the book is wrong?
And it's been changed, again, move on. Also your analogy is poor because that implies that someone outside of the original creation of the book changed it. The original creators of FF7 have all agreed it's Aerith for the last 20 years. Time to move on anon.
The original creators of FF7 are all Japanese with no comprehension of how English works. It's not Aerith in the original Japanese version either, it's エアリス
see
Nope, an incorrect adaptation isn't a "change."
>The original creators of FF7 have all agreed it's Aerith for the last 20 years.
They're wrong. I have already posted evidence disproving their false belief.
And here is an original Japanese source material.
Yeah because Japanese are known for their excellent understanding of English, right...
Guess what, English doesn't fricking matter. It's a Japanese game, it's Aerith. They couldn't give a flying frick how it sounds in English.
it doesn't sound like "Aerith" in Japanese, you idiot. Because once again, Japanese has no "th" sound. It sounds like "Aeris". And you obviously don't know anything about how either language works. If you're going to use her "official name" or whatever than by that logic spell it in fricking katakana. Her name is officially エアリス.
No one cares you fricking dork, your fantasies final.
This pic right here should end every single debate. Only localizations say Aeris, Japanese says Aerith. It's always been Aerith, always will be.
I'm not Japanese and I don't live in Japan so I don't care, this is irrelevant. The original source material for future American ports and adaptations is the first American version of the PS1 game.
>Im not Japanese
Then your opinion on a Japanese game, made by Japanese people does not matter. The Japanese version is the original source material, period.
I'm referencing only the American versions of both FF7 and FF7R. We're not talking about Japanese games here.
FF7 is literally a Japanese game.
There's a Japanese version, yes. I'm only talking about the American version.
in the Japanese version it's spelled エアリス not Aerith
Actually it's EARISU
Anon you're free to call her Aeris till the day you die. But meanwhile literally everyone else will call her Aerith, so you'll just kind of look silly
You are citing a localization as the original source material? You probably enjoy the Faulconer DBZ score. You people make me sick.
Yes, that's the first American version so it's the original source for future American versions.
>because new means it's better!
FF7 is the only one of these games that matters. It's Aeris in that. And Aeris sounds a million times better than "Aerith". Why are you fricking homosexuals so obsessed over making a nice sounding same sound like dogshit?
It's a 30 year old meme.
My daughter
>Aerith
>Not Aeris
dumbass
Chill, his daughter has a speech impediment. Don't be rude.
The head canon of some translator that barely passed their niponese community college course isn't accurate
Aeris sounds much more natural than Aerith for everyday use. That anon's daughter is gonna get bullied hard.
I knew a guy named Aeris but it was a middle aged black guy so I had to prevent myself from grinning every time I heard his name because I would think of the character and the contrast amused me
Aerith > Tifa
>Great breeding hips that will never birth white children
Such a shame
mutt's law etc
stop taking bait etc
Yuffie > both
how old is she supposed to be?
Aerith is 21 or 22 if I recall correctly.
Seriously, I'd like to see Tifa's VA in the Remake and how does she look like and compare. Because Tifa might be more popular than Aerith, but Brianna mogs everyone there so far.
I'm curious, but to do voice actors record this stuff from home with their own gear these days?
A lot of them do, yes. It's why there are so many performances that are bad anymore, because they have nobody to direct them on how a character is supposed to act or the tones.
Her voice acting make my ears bleed. And is even worse when everyone else are so much better than her.
Why is an ESL playing the game in English to begin with? Why aren't you playing in your native language?
Oh that reminds me also they re-casted Ada Wong for Resident Evil 4 in order to pick an Asian to voice an Asian and she's so awful. Ada Wong was already perfect and they ruined her because an Asian must voice an Asian. Absolutely moronic.
I still think she did great, I like srs Ada a lot more.
>people are still caring about this stupid ass Aeris/Aerith shit 25 years later
Holy shit, who gives a frick, say what you want. Touch grass homosexuals.
I fricking hate Final Fantasy, doesn't Aierhththththth die anyway or some stupid shit like that, and then the Fantasies Final
The remake is changing the story. Part one already kept several characters who were supposed to die alive.
Prior to the naming screen her name is actually spelled Aerith even in the original FF7. It's only at the naming screen that it's mistranslated as Aeris and it stays that way obviously for the rest of the game. It's the ONLY instance of it being mistranslated. Same as Cloud was called Ex-Soldier, it was Aerith, then the name screen happens.
It's Aerith.
She sold "flowers", I bet she was a little submissive anal bawd.
I guess it's supposed to be Sephiros then too.
It's supposed to be whatever the localization team chose, and in FF7 it's Aeris and Sephiroth, because that's what they chose because that's what sounds natural.
I'm going to start calling Keith's, Keis, Seths will be Ses, Earth will be Ears, birth as birs. It just sounds natural in english. 🙂
well seeing as you clearly aren't a native English speaker do whatever you want because you'll be butchering the language regardless.
I'm sorry, I'm American. Clearly I'm just going off logic that if it sounds like it has a Th and a lisp, then it should actually end in an S. Just like Aeris, just like Earth. Oh I'm sorry, just like Ears. Localized it, didn't want it to sound too crazy for our English ears after all.
I should've expected an American to be this dumb. Your examples are all native English words and names, using native English spelling. "Aeris" and "Aerith" are both attempts and localizing a name invented by Japanese people using Japanese phonics. エアリス is that name. In English it sounds like E A RI SU. That's why a localization team has to make it more natural, dummy. "Aeris" sounds pretty good, closer to the original. "Aerith" sounds awful, and not close to the original.
A localization's team is to translate properly, not "make it sound like the original" you bumbling frickwit. By that logic Kuraudo shouldn't be Cloud, it should be Claude.
クラウド sounds like Cloud in English, doesn't sound like "Claude" at all. You don't know English and you sure as shit no nothing about Japanese.
Aerisu sounds like Earth if you say it too, what's your point. Japanese people don't have a Th sound and if you say it like a Japanese person you sure as shit can get Aerith/Earth out of it. Also that's the theme, Cloud, Earth, Sephirot(h) Tree. It's the whole fricking point, it's a game about the planet, lifestream, etc.
Also how the frick can you people think it sounds like a lisp, do you think Elizabeth sounds like a lisp? What about Earth? Depth? Booth? Cloth? Corinth? Learn how to fricking talk.
Aeris sounds nothing like Earth. エアリス also sounds nothing like アース. This is all retconned bullshit used to explain one original Japanese idiot thinking エアリス should be spelled "Aerith" and everyone trying to cover his frick up.
Have you ever heard a Japanese person actually pronounce Aerisu? It definitely sounds like fricking Earth.
Yes I have, many times. And no it does not. You have no understanding of Japanese pronunciation evidently.
And you have no ears apparently, I'm sorry. You have no aeris apparently. Just like the translation, they don't have an aeris either, convenient. No wonder you fit together.
Do you also mald over Terra being "Tina" in Japanese FFVI?
He probably malds even harder, screaming into the void, about MUH AMERICAN ENGLISH in his japanese anime games
No one calls her "Tina" in the US, but all you nerds insist it's "Aeriththththth" for some reason.
It is Tina though, just like it's Aerith.
Not in the 90s it wasn't.
Well it's not the 90s anymore old man.
yet you still obsess over shit that was made in the 90s, because games, movies, and music made since then can't hold a candle to that decade.
>old man has become his old man
Back in my day rock and roll was the new hit, not this new age punk, grunge, and pop and deathrow rap, back in my day we played hide and seek and went outside, didnt sit in front of a tv screen and play video games, etc.
Damn, the old man has become the very thing he swore to never be like, his own father, the millennials have become the boomers.
it'll happen to you, provided you haven't killed yourself by then
Except I'm a millennial too anon, born in 1990. Grow up and leave the past behind.
It's not about leaving the past behind, it's about refusing to accept moronic changes to a name to make it sound more awful. If the changed it to make it something better I'd be fine with it.
Sounds like a personal problem, sounds fine to me old man.
sure, enjoy your stupid localization of the ff7 remake or whatever and I'll enjoy my localization of the ff7 original game which calls her Aeris
There wasn't a dedicated localization team for FFVII, that didn't become a thing until FFVIII. In fact, the reason for them getting a dedicated team for it is because of the FFVII mistranslations. Also see
, her name is also spelled Aerith in the original FFVII. It just happened to be mistranslated on the worst possible outcome and people have stubbornly stuck to it for decades. On top of that, Square has made it very clear over the years that it's meant to be Aerith. Whether you like it or not is irrelevant, whether the non-Japanese versions like it or not is irrelevant, it's what it is supposed to be, and always has been. As the one anon said, it's only mistranslated once in official source material, and it only stuck around because of said mistranslation being the worst possible offender it could be.
>Tifa's supposed to be Jennifer Connely
Oh wow, no one ever noticed that not even one time wow. What a game!
Some pajeet I work with is friends with her would not stop bringing it up it was even on his “about me” page on the company profiles
>nobody acts like this over Tina/Terra in FF6
>people flip their minds over Aeris/Aerith even though it's a clear mistranslation and has been fixed in every subsequent iteration of the character and is even like that in some parts in FF7 prior to the naming screen
You morons should be more mad at FF6, because that's a straight botchery to "appease Americans".
inb4 replies of "nobody played FF6 though"
Appeasing Americans is good when it's a localization. The original Japanese names were stupid. The localized ones were better.
That's like saying the riceball change in Pokemon to Donut is good because it "appeases Americans" and "riceballs are dumb, donuts are better". Or any of the 4kidz changes to things are good because it "appeases Americans". There is a reason localization teams stopped doing that shit, because it's fricking stupid and is unfaithful to the original source material and their intended meanings (before you start arguing about the original Katakane). It's very clear that her name was meant to be Aerith and has been fixed. Just as Terra has been fixed in subsequent releases for FF6 as well (and yet nobody bats an eye about still wanting to call her Tina).
Terra was originally ティーナ (Tina) in the original Japanese FF6. She was always Terra in the US version. Is she called Terra in the Japanese one now too? That's the opposite of the ff7 Aeris Aeirth thing.
Her real VA is safe. Japs keep those roles to their deathbeds, regardless of the circumstances.
For foreign language dubbers like the one you posted? They'll basically take anyone.
The Aerith vs Aeris debate is perhaps one of the most moronic debates in video games. Who cares.
>but the game I played 25 years ago said it was aeris and all the games after said it was aerith and and and, it sounds like a lisp like all th ending words and like, muh purity and nostalgia for my shitty jrpg game bro, like bro please
Agreed, people need to drop this shit and get the frick over it and grow up, who cares.
>off-topic shit
M.
What a qt.
The english dub sucks.
Aerith and Tifa en does not have the same personality as the jp version.
always the case. subs over dubs.
Except these that you’re checking right now
>blonde with brown eyes
now that just ain't right
>it was in the original game so it must be correct
well Aeris is supposed to be a bit of an airhead right, plus she grew up in the slums. makes sense that her grammer isn't perfect.
midgar has a giant flying anus above it, she was saying "the sky arse, ick" but cloud is just an IDIOT
Yeah that makes sense. Also watch out for Safer Sephiroth
This explains a lot
what else has she voiced?
Alith in wonderland and Thinderella for two
>hallo cloub! I hab many autism!
She's baaaaaad.
Cute
