Yeah it's the same story. I don't know if it warranted a remake if there are countless great real tales of survival and death in polar regions (or mountains like in this case). I think maybe I'll pick up a book about it if I find one but if it's better and more accurate then I guess this is the definitive version now.
>each one of those films is base on a different book, from different author, and different nationality
This one is based on a Uruguayan book written by a childhood friend of many of the survivors
it's almost shot by shot the same, without the american humor, vibrant cinematography, and the actor charisma, they just cast a bunch of regular looking dudes
Roberto Canessa
Nando Parrado
Carlos Páez Rodríguez
José Pedro Algorta
Alfredo Delgado
Daniel Fernández
Roberto François
Roy Harley
José Luis Inciarte
Álvaro Mangino
Javier Methol
Ramón Sabella
Adolfo Strauch
Eduardo Strauch
Antonio "Tintin" Vizintín
Gustavo Zerbino
I would make it out.
As a corpse.
Since nobody would dare eat me. Even in death I am feared and respected.
Are they remaking or ripping off Alive?
its much better than Alive all around. better acting, better script, partly filmed on location, its in Spanish instead of English

If that is the point, Alive from 1993, was also a remake of a much better film:
Survive! (1976)
But the truth is that each one of those films is base on a different book, from different author, and different nationality.
This is the 1st time this event is filmed with such amazing visuals, a realistic cast and filmed on site.

Yes but it’s en espanol
it's almost shot by shot the same, without the american humor, vibrant cinematography, and the actor charisma, they just cast a bunch of regular looking dudes
9/10 would watch again
The crash scene was brutal
white people would survive easily and create a small prosperous village on the mountain
Unironically the guy on the cover is the darkest guy in the whole movie
Blue eyes abound among the Argentine/Uruguayan cast
I read there’s a lot of Italians in Uruguay and other European ethnicities
Yes. Check out the surnames of the survivors:

Daniel Fernández
Roberto François

José Luis Inciarte

>it's cold outside
>how can nature be so cruel??
do homies really
>survived over two months drinking snow and eating human flesh
Is it literally just having the will to live?
You can’t drink snow.
people have told me the same about cum but i've done it
Nature said you weren't supposed to fly, so you can't blame her for that one.
Captain Marcelo looks like El Presidente Sundae
ommg yes but the voice is set on opposite day
THEY DIDN'T FLY SO GOOD
my will to live is not strong enough to survive all that
>look at crash site on google earth
>if they had just sledded downhill for a few hours they would have found a hot springs resort and a road
They thought they were a lot further west than they actually were (the pilot reiterated this to them before he died).
is it a wholly south-american film? i mean no american studios involved? i am interested in seeing good kino that's from smaller countries
Spanish production but the cast is all South American, yeah
sounds great
