One of my favorite sci-fi aesthetics is the one that uses this Iceland type of landscapes and throw those ultra futuristic buildings that have a shit ton of space inside and have that ultra clean look in them. More movies like that? I think Prometheus fits. Or is there a name for this specific look?
there were so many cool elements to this game too bad it was fricking gay and sucked donkey balls like every kojima game after MGS1
something something filtered
MGS3 is objectively mogs mgs1 in every way.
Hey now, cut the hack some slack. In addition to MGS1, ZOE1 was also good
Everything else was indeed shit
t. filtered moron 60 IQ mutt that can only play helldivers 2 and spiderman marvel shit
If hideo kojima is a legendary storyteller who wants perfection for his games, why doesn't hire someone else to take care of the product placement. That floating mountain dew coin scared the shit out of me as a child
VR Missions is good
Prometheus
Prometheus is unironically a good choice, otherwise I'd suggest a dogshit artsy fartsy indie film like Tarkovsky's The Sacrifice, The Return, Gomorrah, Haneke's Amour, A Hidden Life, The Lobster, homosexual Sapiens, etc etc etc.
Oblivion (2013) was like that, unless i'm wildly misremembering it.
no, you're remembering correctly. First movie I thought of.
Ex Machina
Oblivion
The Creator
The Caladan stuff from Dunc
Arrival
Godland
Rogue One
this is my favorite game ever made
also i never finished i cant enjoy single player games anymore i keep thinking theres something better i must be doing with me time or im gonna get left behind in the world
>single player
You're letting down all the other porters and clients, pal. They were counting on your deliveries, donated supplies and structures
Frick Peter Englert
Star wars rogue one
It even had mads <3
Oblivion is the most obvious.
Probably something like The Postman(1997), second half of Doomsday(2008)
Tales From the Loop
>super hight tech frontier trailblazer vibe with greenland/coniferous forest zone aesthetic
MMMMMMMMMUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
FRICKKKKKKKKINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
DICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
if only starfield wasn't shit
wonder if they scanned just her face or her ass and breasts too
Kojima scanned EVERYTHING of hers
colonize that ass
One of the best games I played. The final scene with BB is a hell of a gut punch. I cried like a b***h.
After Urf
could you imagine if a film director did the same thing kojima did in death stranding. a silent protagonist standing in a room, as a side character just dumps exposition for 30 minutes that has nothing to do with the main plot but instead is just shitty world building explained in the most contrived and rambling way possible. then the main character leaves the room and what you've just sat through is never brought up again and doesn't affect anything going forward. whatever movie did stuff like this would be laughed out of the box office with multiple razzie awards. but kojima does this all the fricking time, in every single game, and he's applauded for it. the state of storytelling in video games is in such a low point that even the most awful writing gets hailed as groundbreaking. i refuse to believe that anyone who gives a shit about video game stories has ever been able to enjoy a good movie. at most they're watching disney slop while scrolling their phones and only looking up during the action scenes.

The beginning of Death Stranding has like 3 action scenes, a fully integrated tutorial, and multiple interactions between Sam, Fragile, Die Hardman, Guillermo, his mom, his sister, AND BB. It barely has any exposition, and it's more art house film than it is like MGS. You didn't play the game.
NTA, but the exposition dumping got really bad in the final ~20 % of the game, which was mostly cutscenes. Before that, I agree
Could you imagine if a movie did what Moby Dick did, where it just has a bunch of words on the screen and you have to read them and read them and then the page turns and you have to read more? That movie would suck
A.I. 2001
(except the red light district scene in the middle of the movie)
Not a movie but Ghost Recon Breakpoint is like that. Basically an Elon Musk type builds a hugh tech utopia on a chain of Islands south of New Zealand and then his private military starts a coup.
“Have a pleasant journey” and those things they wear on their shoulders Kojima liked Prometheus and alien covenant I guess
This unreal engine demo https://youtu.be/9fC20NWhx4s?feature=shared
Based Kojima blending among quality dicky.
No doubt many single-moms were created that night.
>Or is there a name for this specific look?
New Brutalism
Dunc 1 first came to mind for some reason and then Oblivion
>for some
Recency bias. Dunc is on your mind because it just had a multi million dollar marketing blitz, so of course you would think of that first.
Yeah I guess, but there's really just 1 or 2 shots of it in Caladan that's DS-like compared to the desert of the rest of the movie
