The abysmal writing was the constant flaw.

They continuously started off reasonable each season but ruined everything by the end including her overall character. It's not a flaw, she's a complete selfish frick up and a terrible character during the story and by the end nothings changed..
      She still hot tho....

Perhaps, I have no idea wtf that was.

    >character’s flaw is being reset every season because the writers don’t know what the frick they’re doing and are getting yanked around by the producers
she only became a “fully-realized” avatar 3 times nbd

      >and are getting yanked around by the producers
Not even that is an excuse for all of it, they have confirmed that they were told they would have 4 books halfway through season 1.
Fully realized avatar 2 times might have been sorta forgiveable considering production, 3 times is on the writing staff entirely.

Yeah, it gets on my nerves when people don't understand character development. Korra starts out as brash, immature, and belligerent but she mellows out over time. She starts the series solving problems with brute force and begins using tactful diplomacy over time.

Korra only mellows out because she got buckbroken by Zaheer's mercury poisoning, not because of introspection

      >Korra starts out as brash, immature, and belligerent but she mellows out over time. She starts the series solving problems with brute force and begins using tactful diplomacy over time.
When did this happen? Because she's trying brute force in book 4 until she jobs to the big bad like every other book.

This is kind of the core issue with Korra as a character, they have her develop at the end of every book then reset her at the start of the next. So her defenders can say "LOOK, SHE MELLOWS OUT AND FIGURES IT OUT" but then she forgets when everything is ok again. It also doesn't help that she never really faces much consequence for her actions, she messes something up, gets sad for a bit and then she gets a slap on the wrist and a e-girlpop. The universe treats her with kid gloves and we're expected to not notice this.

Book 4 is when her character arc was finally starting to stick. She tried to talk it out with Kuvira initially, but Suyin used it as an opportunity to make an assassination attempt on Kuvira.

    >Korra's character flaw is that she is reckless and wants to be seen as a fully fledged Avatar
    >a suave waterbending older man convinces her to abandon her airbending training and go pick a fight with Amon
Well, at least she learned her lesson. Airbending even saved her in the end, because Amon's bloodbending that he can somehow use 24/7 and somehow permanently block chi in a way that can only be healed by energybending (even though he isn't causing it with energybending) somehow missed blocking airbending.
    >S2
    >Korra gets convinced by a suave waterbender older man to abandon her airbending training and help his evil plan by opening the spirit portal.
Can someone who looks like Korra's father frick her so she finally master airbending?
