Driver is based.
He stars in passion projects for geezer directors like it's going out of style. >Ferrari >Don Quixote >Megalopolis >that one Jarmusch movie >etc
A return to form for Mann. Much better than Blackhat.
Some very kino filmmaking going on in this movie even if the movie as a whole isn't perfect. Mann is a genius but he has trouble making straight masterpieces.
Mann thinks this is how this happened. He said something along the lines of "I studied this car crash inch by inch and we reconstructed it perfectly" can't find the interview where he babbled this nonsense
unfortunately no, black hat is not good even if you like hacking. it's really lame like showing shaky cam closeups of someone typing "ls" in a terminal
No, but if you like to pretend that Hemsworth is a hacker who is also impervious to knives because he duct tapes phone books to his body then you'll enjoy it
I like it a lot. If you like most of Mann's films, definitely watch it. It's commentary on the intersection between the real and virtual worlds. I don't know anything about hacking, but I thought it played this out very well.
If nothing else, like the other anon said, it has some very good moments, and definitely some great shots.
It was almost really good. The script seemed a bit confused about the focus at points. We’re introduced to side characters (like the drivers) but they’re not given sufficient depth. And then the movie ends quite abruptly without sufficient payoff. But the performances are really good (except Shailene Woodley who was just awful). It’s a great looking movie with plenty of memorable scenes. I just wanted a little bit more from it overall.
Why was this movie memory holed?Adam Driver needs a new agent. Leonados Agent
In the past if an actor would have 9 consecutive box office bombs his career would be over. Adam Driver deserves less, because he can't even act.

A filmography like that is at least a legacy similar to Jason Robards.
Driver actmogs the absolute frick out of everyone else in this movie
Jokes on you, Adam's phone is ringing off the hook from auteurs who can't get people to go to theaters but keep self-styled critics busy.
>implying "people" are arbiters of good taste
Sarah Gadon kino.
never heard of this flick, now i gotta see it
Based. Sarah Gadon makes everything worth watching.
Adam Driver and Sarah Gadon are kino.
Kino
Is that known coalburner Sarah Gadon?
No. It's beloved and acclaimed Canadian actress Sarah Gadon.

Forgot the webm
imagine the family members of people who died in the crash seeing this kek
lol
lmao
It has the typical Bollywood slo mo at the beginning of a Bollywood vfx action scene. Hilarious.
Dneg killed Hollywood, not MCU
I walked out the kinoplex here.
Betrayed by pajeet. Stabbed in the back by the post-colonials. Mumbai Vice should be in the works.
I GOT A GLOCK IN MY RARI
Is Blackhat good if you like tech and hacking thrillers?
unfortunately no, black hat is not good even if you like hacking. it's really lame like showing shaky cam closeups of someone typing "ls" in a terminal
No, but if you like to pretend that Hemsworth is a hacker who is also impervious to knives because he duct tapes phone books to his body then you'll enjoy it
It has some good elements and moments, but it's Mann's worst movie.
Make Mann look like a HACK

Very based take. It's a movie that takes masculinity seriously and idiots just focus on a bad fx shot.
The acting, story and cinematography is aggressively horrific, that's why people focus on the bad vfx, it's just funny instead of pathetic
It's like you're desperate to prove OP right or something
Filtered by correct opinions. Stay mad.

All of those are good to great though.
This Sarah Gadon sex scene is the best thing Michael Mann has ever directed

Sarah Gadon gave the best performance
