It's basically just american shounen battle manga slop. It's fun but it's far from the ground breaking work of art Invincible fans try to make it out to be.
Invincible isn't shounen manga, its parody and schlock mixed with satire. If it were popular or good it would actually have memorable arcs and characters and moments instead of "that story with the evil Superman man."
It's a weird mix of battle shonen writing, goofy superhero comic crossover "event" writing, and also teen romance drama crap that you get in some cape comics
Your feel that it was enjoyable but that the comics industry must have really been in a bad slump for it to have had as much success as it did.
No insult intended towards Kirkman. Invincible was alright but it also has its fair share of problems and glaring occasions of lazy writing. Still, it was miles ahead of the rest of the industry.
Sometimes, you get the same feeling reading Invincible that you do from reading Axecop except instead of childish wonder and whimsy it's marked by "adult" cynicism
You hate and despise it because of some minor detail that's insignificant in the bigger picture but really bothers you and you can't stop thinking about it, like a splinter under the fingernail of your mind.
Clearly you didn’t think you stupid spineless sheep. You’re worthless you can read 144 issues and still be too afraid to have an honest opinion for yourself. Do society a favor and jump off a bridge into a moving train while jerking off. At least make your death interesting you cottage cheese of a man you.
It's probably my favorite cape series that followed the standard formula in that it commits to its decisions. There's not reset. No status quo. No redo. Decisions are made and the story moves on. Now, do I think it's the best written cape series? Hell fricking no. But it accomplished so many things that bog standard marvel and DC just can't do.
All that dicksucking aside, there are a LOT of things wrong with the series. Some baffling creative choices. Some time skips. The kind of abrupt ending. Near the end of that series I was just glad I wasn't going to have to spend much more time with the characters lol.
It starts out decent, but i started loosing interest after they left earth, it then became just a sci fi story instead of a super hero story as much of the super hero stuff stops mattering after awhile
It have to appease the investors somehow. It's media production in America, it's common practice that scripts will be tampered by ESG-DEI people because they're the ones giving the paycheck, not the final customer
You thought the timeskip and Eve fricking another alien who tried to convince her to abandon her daughter was pretty lame, but the ending was otherwise pretty cool.

>ground breaking work of art
Thinking every big comics needs to be is killing American comics. Shounen manga slop should be MORE common.
Making groundbreaking comics is the only way they're entertaining.

Conquest Arc was epic. It completely eclipsed the entire Angstrom Levy set of issues which is fascinating. That arc was definitely memorable.
>its parody and schlock mixed with satire
So, standard capeshit. Only this capeshit thinks it's better than everyone else.
If American animation only allowed straight White men and straight Asian men to be in the industry it would be the best by miles
>It's fun
That is a filthy lie of the blackest variety.
It's a weird mix of battle shonen writing, goofy superhero comic crossover "event" writing, and also teen romance drama crap that you get in some cape comics
I can't remember a single time it was considered ground breaking during its run. It was just fun and big for Image.
its aight. It has its drawbacks, like the time skips, but it's aight.
You wasted your time reading this instead of better comics.
Robert Kirkman can’t write

it's ok but there are a lot of parts I didn't like and Mark in general is a dumbass who barely learns
Too many timeskips
King of Dinosaurs arc sucks
Rex heelturn sucks
6/10, read to issue 60ish and drop it

You think it started off decent but continuously got worse after the Viltrumite War until the ending which was total dogshit

Robot as the final villain was complete and utter trash. Thragg vs Mark should've been better
I got to 50 issues before my comixology subscription ran out
Terra is Mark's superior descendant and Marky is trash
I tried watching the cartoon, and it was about some chick with magical chemistry autism. When does the battle shounen start?
Watch the rest? It looks like you just watched the eve special so just watch the rest of the fricking season
It starts out decent, but i started loosing interest after they left earth, it then became just a sci fi story instead of a super hero story as much of the super hero stuff stops mattering after awhile
I just wanna call her Penelope Pancake and watch her shrivel up in embarrassment
50 pure-blooded Viltrumites was a stupid "le twist" retcon and anyone who claims it was always part of the plan is moron.
Why not just tell us?
>shieet
>"smacks lips"
>dem wypipo can't jump baka
Was this in the comic book too?
no, bulletproof doesn't hate white people in the comic but with the way they did Amber, this is to be expected by communist writing
>Immortal canonly wanted to ship all blacks in the USA back to Africa

It’s a story about the villains winning.
But that's real life.
