Thank you.
It's only homosexual mutts that like it to stroke their ego.
Like your supersoldiers have only bullied illiterate ill fed stone age people. Nothing to be proud of.
Even jungle asians gave them a run for their money and were more ingenious in their war tactics.
I liked the action and stuff but the whole “killed his whole family” revenge motivation is always cringe, even some of the political intrigue was interesting, but the vehicle of exposition was just meh.
It was fine. Pretty run of the mill action thriller. Biggest problem is whoever the frick shot this needed to use some lighting. Everything is so dark.
I like Chris Pratt, the action's decent, the show isn't pozzed, it pisses off all the people I hate. So I'll watch it -on Amazon- if only for that reason.
But I'll be honest, I'm two episodes in and so far I'm not that engaged with it. His mental issues make the narrative confusing.
It would have actually been a really good gaslighting narrative if they kept the ambiguity to whether he's a fricking nutjob or its real at least until halfway through the season, where he finally loses his fricking mind but at the same time realises it was real and descends into a rampage.
This is odd because there's nothing expressly right-wing or anti-woke in the show. I'm not sure why the söy critics are angry about it. Maybe they just see that it's about a Navy SEAL, that's it's vaguely Tom Clancy-ish, and they have a kneejerk reaction to "that sort of thing."
i don't get it either, the main bad guys are even white. from what i saw most people have trouble separating comedy pratt from action pratt which i can sort of understand because he doesn't do a great job but it's not exactly shit either.
if the cast isn't 50% black 50% asian 50% hispanic 50% gay 50% lesbian 50% trans it is fascist propaganda
also it implies some muslim brown people did bad things
I saw a clip on Tucker with the creator of the show and he read from the unhinged negative reviews, and he said it himself, the show isn't really political beyond being pro-military.
I think honestly it just comes down to Pratt being a religious conservative so they want to do anything they can to hurt his career, because if you read their reviews they're complaining about shit that's in every fricking military action movie. One of them literally said it "glorifies guns and violence" and "contains rock and country music".
>The Daily Beast slammed the series as an 'unhinged right-wing revenge fantasy' that panders to 'male red-state viewers with routine references to beer, guns, country music, and hunting'.
>a shit tv series gets shit reviews? that makes no sense!
Yeah I'm sure the fact that it's moronic amerishart gore porn with steven seagull tier writing has nothing to do with it. I know you are literally brain damaged and desensitized to over the top violence because you're exposed to a mass shooting every day and a constant stream of murder on your garbage streaming services, so it might sound strange to you, but not everyone just mindlessly gobbles up this slop like you do.
its almost perfectly targeted to ex military conservative bros down to every brand of item used and piece of clothing worn. It has the of course prerequisite navy seal supersoldier worship propaganda to boot
>generic overarching plot >tedious, boring, repetitive flashbacks that don't progress reeces character in any way >plank of wood tier performance from Pratt, a better actor would have been able to make him likable despite the shitty hand he'd been dealt >lame final twist
It was ok because it wasnt mega pozzed but that's about it. Had a few cool actions scenes but everything else was meh.
>it was his life long friend the whole time!
shit ending, but the conversation between him and his daughter about him dying on the battlefield made me tear up
my favourite part was his friend being CIA and doing frick all, all he does is drink beer on his boat and help pratt kill guys and then he's like >yeah man they're starting to ask questions about my working hours
Only watched the first episode >Boring shootout showing a bunch of non characters shooting at nothing in a sewer >Beyond played out story beats >I don't care about starlord or any other character
What's the appeal of this show?
I read the book a few weeks ago and it was infuriating how far they strayed from the plot in the show. Half the characters have 5x the screen time they get in the actual book. This shit is moronic.
Final scene clearly showed Kitsch is a lot better actor and the series would be fricking stellar if they switched him with Pratt, who's got acting chops of a wooden block.
Better casting with the wife and daughter also wouldn't hurt.
Storywise it was okay, the action was ok.
Chris Pratt is a charisma vacuum. He used to be fun, now he's just boring.
Thank you.

so i'm assuming the show is about the Vietnam and Afghanistan wars and you're not just in permanent seethe mode
nah it was kino
>here's another flashback to the bird hitting the window
>is it going to be alright daddy
>he pulls out his daughter's drawing of the family again.
I liked the action and stuff but the whole “killed his whole family” revenge motivation is always cringe, even some of the political intrigue was interesting, but the vehicle of exposition was just meh.
>some of the political intrigue was interesting
Really? I thought it was quite B-tier.
yeah. IRL they don't bother kill any of their test subjects. they just release them into the general public and deny everything.
watched first episode and decided that thats the end of it

As someone that hasn't watched the show I have no idea what's going on in this post so I think this show might be a bit much for me.

>anti-woke
literally just portraying a nuclear monogamous white family is enough
Anything pro-military is bad for those people. SEALs embody toxic masculinity.
Toxically pro Israel actually

this. it's surprising to see show like this in 2022.
I saw a clip on Tucker with the creator of the show and he read from the unhinged negative reviews, and he said it himself, the show isn't really political beyond being pro-military.

how is the show pro-military?
pro-grunt I would agree

So kinda based, but VERY low brow
>this dude is an operator i can tell
that's the guy that wrote the books
>generic overarching plot

I thought it was just me. I'm 3 episodes in and I find it pretty average, the kind of stuff you watch when you have absolutely nothing else to do.
>it was his life long friend the whole time!
shit ending, but the conversation between him and his daughter about him dying on the battlefield made me tear up

What's the appeal of this show?
It's for people who have watched a hundred Jocko SEAL interviews
I haven't seen much of Seagal, I don't know if he's made anything this bad.
Shhhhh don't ruin the fun... Cinemaphile is still pretending it's good because muh operator larp.
>Steven Seagal tier garbage
more like Steven Seagal Kino
is that supposed to be a small axe? why does he have a small axe?

Kitsch can never catch a break. He's always given trash roles despite being a better actor than most of the people he works with.
