Adventure Time and Distant Lands had happy endings for everyone not named Simon.
Besides book 3, all seasons of infinity train had happy endings.

The Adventures of Martin Mertens as an irredeemable space scoundrel, who we get to witness burn every bridge known to the universe leading up to his imprisonment and reunification with Finn.
I want him to still be an awful person, but with hints of the old Mertens that Minerva loved every once in a while. Ultimately that show would just be a tragedy about a man who kept running away until there was nowhere left to go.

Alright, how about Adventure Time with Dirtbeer guy? It's just him mixing terrible drinks, listening in to people mingling from other kingdoms, sometimes advising people, spectating occasional bar fights, and doing deliveries to the main characters. Over time we see Finn slowly grow his beard being one of the bars locals and Simon's "Fionna and Cake" Open Mic Nights.
What I want isn’t creative, though. I literally just want Adventure Time Shippuden. Punished adult Finn going on some darker and more disturbing adventures while wrestling with the loss of Jake and how much the world has changed is something I would watch seasons of.

I wanted GumIce because Gumball should his own character that gets changed because of the new circumstances of normie world. Like having Ice Queen be a girl he can relate with and have normal conversations with her to learn about her more grounded sad life, how he takes care and view Nebby as a little sister instead of a infant dragon giant, giving him a stronger friendship with the dark horse guy, and him realizing and fearing the consequences about the return of the Magical World. Since, he has so much to lose (a normal life with the family and lover he has always desired) in comparison to how much Cake and Fiona will gain (an epic world of adventure and romance). Becoming a totally unexpected obstacle for Fionna and Cake to face. From being Fionna’s charming crush to being her direct enemy.
Instead being the same old despicable and polarizing PB we always known and despised. He is instead a much more reasonable, less flanderized guy that parallels with the Ice King. Then, he gets betrayed by his dark horse pal because of his own selfish wishes of having a huge family with Cake.
Messed up, unexpected circumstances, like the good old adventure time we know. Instead of shallow gay pairing scenarios, I want to see Gumball experience heart break as an actual distinctive character without any degeneracy.
Hilariously, Bubblegum is a much less flanderized character by actually letting her mad ambition screw her relationships and forcing her to do morally questionable things. The b***h is a tyrant and much like the Ice Prince in F&C she's a complicated character that does good and bad for her kingdom's sake. Gumball in the other hand is such a perfect pretty boy he kinda makes me want to puke, and the people complained that Marcy was toned-down in personality should take a look at Marshall and totally see how much of a total bad boy he is when he's staring longingly into Gumball's eyes as he talks about his stupid ass pastry characters...

No. They did far more with less in one scene with a character that needs to be presented that way.

I watched Destiny last night, I’m impressed with just how perfectly masculine in a positive way they made FW Finn. Literally a perfect dad. I thought he was going to have a lot more punished energy, but their house and life actually looks comfy as frick. I like how much personality they gave his kids too.
Also, I feel like there’s definitely some story they want to tell about his past with the mom/HW. He really seemed awed when the son made that beautiful romantic gesture to the gang girl, like it’s a feeling he understands well.
But yeah, they made him a firm and strong dad but still warm and understanding and willing to help out strangers. Fantastic

I wanted GumIce because Gumball should his own character that gets changed because of the new circumstances of normie world. Like having Ice Queen be a girl he can relate with and have normal conversations with her to learn about her more grounded sad life, how he takes care and view Nebby as a little sister instead of a infant dragon giant, giving him a stronger friendship with the dark horse guy, and him realizing and fearing the consequences about the return of the Magical World. Since, he has so much to lose (a normal life with the family and lover he has always desired) in comparison to how much Cake and Fiona will gain (an epic world of adventure and romance). Becoming a totally unexpected obstacle for Fionna and Cake to face. From being Fionna’s charming crush to being her direct enemy.
Instead being the same old despicable and polarizing PB we always known and despised. He is instead a much more reasonable, less flanderized guy that parallels with the Ice King. Then, he gets betrayed by his dark horse pal because of his own selfish wishes of having a huge family with Cake.
Messed up, unexpected circumstances, like the good old adventure time we know. Instead of shallow gay pairing scenarios, I want to see Gumball experience heart break as an actual distinctive character without any degeneracy.
Hilariously, Bubblegum is a much less flanderized character by actually letting her mad ambition screw her relationships and forcing her to do morally questionable things. The b***h is a tyrant and much like the Ice Prince in F&C she's a complicated character that does good and bad for her kingdom's sake. I watched Destiny last night, I’m impressed with just how perfectly masculine in a positive way they made FW Finn. Literally a perfect dad. If you're a fan of AT you should watch it. I'd say it's more a continuation than a spin-off. Like a Distant Lands episode focused on Simon, Fionna and Cake, except a whole series.
It’s good - interesting, emotional, and genuinely fun and entertaining. The first few eps, especially 1 and 3 are slower but by the time you get to Prismo you should know if you like it.

Would make me sad, her concern is very much about the ability to be a real hero and make things better for people now. And people seem fine on their own in the normal world. Would her single heroic action be sacrificing for Simon and then having to live in normalcy after everywhere she’s been, everyone she’s met? After everything she’s fricked up? I think cutting her off like this when she’s just getting started would be crueler than anything done to Finn. And Cake may still be coming out of the throes of instinctual selfishness but she wouldn’t want to be separated from Fionna, that would be a cruel fate for her as well. She’s not like Jake who had a full life with Finn and was prepared to move on.
Also, that’s a whole world of people whose original selves have been wiped away. They may have forgotten and now lead new lives that also don’t deserve oblivion, but Gumball is in there somewhere, missing his kingdom
