Did you watch the movie? He is saved from rape at the beginning because they target the other guy who was effeminate and terrified. On a different day, it could have been him. That's why he goes to the white gang. Otherwise there's no security on your own and you'll end up as a raped b***h.
>He is saved from rape at the beginning because they target the other guy who was effeminate and terrified. On a different day, it could have been him.
They went for the little black kid first because he went to the black area of the bunkbeds where the resident blacks immediately started heckling him. He didn't fight back so they gangbanged him later that night.
The white dudes weren't as rapey I suppose, so when the shot caller went to the white area they didn't immediately try to punk and rape him. This demonstrated the different dynamics experienced by members of race based castes in prison.
The reason he was saved that night is because he was shown why he had to save himself. The next day he started making sure nobody can get the better of him without a fight, immediately attacking that black dude that tried to bully him.

I watched the Informer the other week. It was alright. It was more of an action drama. It didn't focus on the prison aspects as much.
For prison kino Felon and American Me are really good.

I was in county for a stint and this was my personality. Nobody fricked with me cause they knew I was crazy and would kill them. I'm not a big guy (for you), but I'm inventive. I made a shiv with a bolt I unscrewed from the wall.
B&E and assault. It was all bullshit though, I was frickin this dude's girl and he came home and caught us. He squared up on me, so I beat the frick outta him. Apparently, he had a restraining order against her and she wasn't supposed to be in the house, but she wanted us to get caught.
I did time in solitary confinement because I was harmful to everyone around me. Nothing is more powerful in prison than a skinny white dude who just stopped giving a frick. As for the COs, they were the ones who got raped.

It's both. I like prison kinos but a lot of them are too goofy and unbelievable (like Oz or Prison Break). I didn't have high expectations watching this one but it delivered. Just a straight story with some twists, revenge plots, and no filler.
Was it really worth it to serve life in prison with your family constantly being threatened and never knowing the sacrifice you took not to get fricked in the ass eventually maybe? Truly a Peckinpahian dilemma.
He didn't know at the time.
First he thought the choice was between becoming a Fleshlight or fighting dudes every time they try to mess with him. Then it became between trying to make it on his own or getting protection from the gang by doing petty crimes like smuggling.
Eventually he got pulled into the "brotherhood" shit and killed that guy in the brawl to save another new gang member, which is what made his incarceration a long one.
In retrospect, with the knowledge of what inmate life is like over a long period, he probably would have done the lone wolf path since he would only do that for some months rather than several years.
Yeah but he was in a prison that had a race war riot to begin with. That wouldn't happen for a DUI manslaughter conviction, especially to a rich guy who can afford a good lawyer. He'd be in with financial criminals and thieves.
Its established in the beginning that he got a tough as frick prosecutor who wanted to make an example of drunk drivers. Apparently shit like that has happened.
Also he wasn't that rich. He had the upper class job, but his wife was working towards interior design and a single lawsuit was enough to make them have to sell the house. He was probably one of those guys who has a high tier job and lives in a rich area but effectively lives check to check. Very common today.
> save another new gang member
That was Herman, shot caller for the Mexican gang in the prison. That's why Money got so much respect after doing that, he saved a really important person.
These jannies think the more they lock us down and ban us it strips us from our power, they even think we are a dying breed, they're dead fricking wrong

Safety in numbers
there was this other movie called the rape caller, i bet they are good friends
Prison rape is wildly overstated in Hollywood. It's mostly consensual, and mostly among the blacks

zestybros...
why were the blacks so rapey?
they're all homosexuals
literally "muh dick" they don't care what's sucking it
Most of them were already in there for man rape of another black
its their culture thats why they wear the pants down low
Blue shirt does not look pleased about the oncoming rape.

most people don't know this but one of the original working titles for the film they were considering was 'Toad Fighter'
When can we expect to see more of the Shot Caller cinematic universe?
I'd make Cinemaphile suck my wiener like Acaveda. Turn your asses into a cell b***h.
Is this a meme or unironically a good film?

Why was he sent to a max pen instead of like a prison camp again?
He participated in a prison riot and did so in association with a gang. You get fricked hard for that.
Yeah but he was in a prison that had a race war riot to begin with. That wouldn't happen for a DUI manslaughter conviction, especially to a rich guy who can afford a good lawyer. He'd be in with financial criminals and thieves.
