Only do this if you hate the art of filmmaking

If you can't handle pacing just go play a videogame dumbass

Ruins music, a finger on skip forward is superior. Shit scenes are easy to spot, few button presses, and they're gone.

This, skipping 5 sec forward is the superior way

      >be skipbro too
      >setup plex and amass a big TV and film library
      >tfw android tv plex app skips ahead 30s and back 15s and you can't change it

      30s is too much

literally me, high iq anons think the same. on certain occasions i skip the whole scene altogether as for example the From series, like in the useless dyke scenes

Really though has anyone actually ever tried this? Anytime I see someone say they have I can’t tell if they’re being ironic or not.

Interesting, do you feel like it fricks up the music? Or does it make the characters voices higher pitched?

When I was watching Office Space the other day with my AC at full blast and multiple fans blowing this was literally the only way to watch the film

It's gotten to the point where I even use subtitles for old films with more well enunciated dialogue.

Not him but this is me

I started at that speed back in 2019 or so but now I watch at 4x or 5x speed and some youtube videos I watch at 6x or 7x.

Talking with people irl is very annoying as I want them to talk MUCH faster and get to the point asap

What percentage of dialogue do you comprehend at that speed?

            Anonymous

you can't possibly understand what's being said at that speed

I understand it fine but I forget it immediately a few seconds later. This is how I've always been. In school the teachers used to get mad at me for not paying attention but I was looking right at them as they spoke so I was paying attention. I just used to immediately forget what they said 10 seconds later.

This also happens to me now. We've ruined our brains, bros. When will we get playback rate controls for real life?

Turn the saturation all the way down so it's black and white. If the cinematography is halfway decent, it'll look fricking great. Turning a movie B&W can bump it up from 5/10 to 8/10. Johnny Mnemonic and The Beast of War are mid movies that are amazing in black and white.
