Because there's a lot about Left Alive that feels exactly like the kind of anti-game I'd enjoy, like a relic of old adventure gaming horseshit that should've been abandoned to the 90s, but that game design is the sort that really needs people who aren't used to that brand of hyper bullshit to go "yeah nah maybe don't do that so hard, people hate that."

Anything good about the game will be ruined by mtx and the endless grind for Bigger Number. It definitely looks pretty, even if the character designs are a little much, but gacha undermines good game deisgn, especially in the long run.

You can tell 3 tried to move away a little from the war angst and have younger playable characters to appeal to a broader audience. Then again, that's a stretch considering the game has things like genetic manipulation, waterboarding a character into moronation for the MIDAS activation code, civil wars, etc.

The gameplay changes compared to 1 and 2 alone shows they were trying to attract a wider audience. Cant blame them: 2 was a success but had flaws that needed to be addressed and 3 clearly got a bigger budget, which means more costs to recoup.

Really? I found him way more reasonable in Alisa's route, compared to Emma's route. It's been ages since I played FM3, but in Emma's route he spends most of the time raging that they weren't rescuing Alisa at that very moment. And to be fair, after watching the resistance movement pointlessly throw their lives away for the third time, I don't blame him.

Any Front Mission like games? Any that were actually successfully finished and not just stuck forever in early access limbo? Any that would run on almost decade old potato laptop?
If you like Full Metal Panic and own a PS4 the Full Metal Panic game for that console has english subtitles and can be imported. It has some similarities to Front Mission but it's not 1 to 1.

I bought vol 2, they are really cool, detail is great. Only downside is they are small.
