Not the other anon, but that ending was very embarrassing and forced in. They tried so hard to get some sort of love/doom ending like Fight Club or some teen fantasy. There’s so little nuance it made me laugh. It’s just cringe. Rest of the episode is “DUDE what if we were meta!!”. They even have a joke in there it’s on level for some know-it-all freshman. There’s just no nuance or intelligence with these new episodes, it’s like they want the rick and morty fanbase. It’s just all mediocre.
I agree. The ending was rushed and poorly done.
The concept of time dilation has been done before. A moment in our time is years for them is cool. They also added that it was a euphoric moment as a nice touch. But that slow kiss moment at the end was painful.

fry lies down in the fetal position crying about it. The space king says the wedding is not allowed, then fry decides to challenge the king to a duel so that the wedding of leela and the space prince can still happen
the story keeps getting interrupted by absurd short stories of all the futurama characters as different products like toy cars and rubber duckies
the space prince dies
in the end farnsworth pops up and says leela was under the influence of space magic or some shit
