Spencer's run is still fairly popular, and that isn't what is being argued. Anon is calling it fleeting. But 4 years is decent for comics. Especially after 10 years of not being a couple.
Oh, don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the hell out of it. Hell, I have the whole thing saved.
I just tired of finding it enjoyable, seeding the undoing of OMD, and outright retconning Sins Past. I was just annoying being someone who enjoyed it and had to watch anons shit on it from issue one. While the masses may have enjoyed it, if you are suggesting that anon refers to it fairly popularly though, I would wager that is only due to how things have gone since then. Just my thoughts though.

Cool file.
I mean nowadays outside of the ending its more liked even here, and while it was doing it had defenders. You cant say the same for the current run, not anymore lol.
That's a single comic run. There are plenty of relationships that lasted that long in comics only for it to be dropped by the next writer. But it's worse when you figure in everything that happened with Peter and MJ. And it gets even worse with what happened after Spencer left.
Sure, its still 4 years. That's not fleeting. Especially not by comic standards. If anything the split is going to last less time if wells leaves by 60 lol.
Context is everything. This isn't Tony hooking up with Wasp or Hellcat. This is the most popular relationship for Peter that had him selling his marriage to the devil. It was a big deal when Spencer started his run. And then he leaves and it's undone right after. It's like a legendary band breaking up for the dumbest reason, decades later they announce they're back, and one album later they break up for another dumb reason.

Well it lasted an event afterwards. You do have a point, but what I'm arguing is that it still isn't fleeting. And that if anything this has made it so the opposition against splitting them up is stronger than ever. Everyone can tell how artificial it is, and people arent going to forget 4 whole years lol. Adding to 20 years of marriage. And about 6 directly before hand. That sums up about 30 years. Exactly half of the character's publication history.

Fleeting means lasting for a very short time.So poor wording if anything.

I am not going to argue semantics. Call it whatever you want but them getting back together and then it being undone was way too fast considering the backlash OMD caused for decades.

Oh that i would maybe agree. But I do think that its funny that they thought people would just forget that they were a couple for the last 4 years. And now they have even more people against them. Even more now with 31.

Spencer's run was in 2018, OMD happened in 2008. That would have been a decade.
Meanwhile felicia fans thought they would be eating good for the entirety of wells run > Immediately hit with breakup[ in 31 > I think bobbi morse lasted longer
This still pisses me off.
Imagine if they went through with this. Imagine making the wedding of Peter and MJ a massive event. It would've been labeled a comeback of the century. Tons of positive press. Fans and casuals singing praises. The wedding one shot selling like hot cakes.
The probelm is that the BNDgays at marvel seethed over seeing peter/mj back in spencer's run and getting so much positive reception so they got one of theirs to do a shitty BND re-do.
remember when Campbell got super fricking butthurt when folks criticized that cover pose? Funny that he's trying to play like he always knew it was dumb, now.
>peter...who?
Why did this give me a massive boner?
Are you a cuck?
Her toes could stab someone.
Lick her feet everyday
Post the whole page, nice that campblell draws her and peter so often.
>2019
Funny how fleeting that was.
Was it?
>July 2018 they begin dating again
>March 2022 is the last issue of beyond
>Peter and MJ were a couple thought all that time.
And anon complained about the entire run.

Instead we get Paul. Is Marvel frickin moronic?

Feeta
She should take peter's web shooters and tie up criminals and force them to lick her feet
That wouldn't be a punishment
girl those crumbs are gonna end up in your bra...

If anything, he's satirizing the criticism.
Where's this from?
It's an edit of a panel from ASM 601
